Ross is the Founder and Managing Director of Black Rock Consulting, a business and communications consultancy providing project management, strategic planning and development, marketing, corporate communications and creative services to clients in the Media/Entertainment, Technology and Lifestyle/Recreational industries. In May 2007, he was named as a partner in Tomahawk Partners, LLC, a strategic consultancy and think-tank that provides business consulting, project management, and financial advisory services with a focus on developing physical, logistical and technological infrastructure projects in developing nations.

Mr. Ross is an award-winning writer and a licensed Instructor of Krav Maga (an Israeli self-defense system), as well as an Instructor-in-Training of Traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu under Sifu Eric Oram. He earned an MFA at the age of twenty-four from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television and a BA in Political Science and English from Duke University, where his regrettably prescient senior year graduate level thesis (1992) focused on counter-insurgency and domestic counter-terrorism.

Mr. Ross and his family currently reside in Beverly Hills, California.

1. Lead by example. This means leading from the front, where you have the best view.

4. Realize that you will make mistakes. Accept this fact. Then act swiftly to rectify those mistakes, and never make the same mistake twice.

5. Be decisive. Never equivocate. But be prepared to adapt to changing circumstances.

6. Trust your instincts. They seldom lie.7. Be flexible and adaptable. Change is inevitable. Be prepared to turn this

into opportunity.8. Seize the initiative.9. Know when to advance, when to flank, when to envelop and when to

retreat. Never lose sight of your objectives or the end goal. Even if this means taking many paths to reach the destination.

10. When you perform a task or execute an assignment, do it right the first time. Half-hearted measures may save time and/or money in the short-term, but will exact their price in blood, sweat, tears and capital when you inevitably return to fix them.

Challenge: Prestigious Century City based middle market investment banking firm required specialized strategic consulting and writing services for select clients.

A Strategic Plan was developed for a Wireless Products Wholesale Distributor with annual sales exceeding $50MM in order to provide management with a credible future roadmap to boost company valuation for possible future sale; also collaborated with Mosaic’s staff to develop and write the Information Memorandum for prospective buyers.
