BITA started year long proclamation about cultural education on IDEA day. BITA arranged starting program on

28th November at the Theatre Institute Chattogram. The program started at 6pm. In the program BITA introduced

a concept paper on that theme. BITA executive director Sisir Dutta introduced the concept paper. Journalis and

poet Abul Momen, Proofessor Dr. Israfil Shahin, Theatre and Performance Studies, University of Dhaka,

Professor Dhali-Al-Mamun, Charukala Institute, Chittagong University, Shamim Hasan, Head of Department,

Theatre department were the speaker of the program. By the concept paper Mr Sisir Dutta said that Art education

make place swiftly within the intellectual society. Because it contain the historical time as well as can receive the

innovation. BITA do not want to reserve the creative education as only education.

BITA seemed in modern day and age there is no reason for such a top-down, one-size-fits-all education system

that does not enable all children to thrive in their qwn way. We must recognize that young people are individuals

with different talents and dream. As such that all children learn in the same way. We need to move towards a

system based on a strong common core of essential skills and knowledge, which allows young people to develop

their qwn particular talents and aspirations. We must support young people in discovering what they enjoy and

are good at –and who they want to be in life. We also must encourage and support teachers and schools in

responding to these different needs. Young people will learn if they see learning as important , meaningful and

worthwhile. BITA think Theatre in Education create one type of interactive situation in any way. It promotes and

strengthens entertaining education. Children are naturally drawn to processes, which involve participation and

doing something interesting. It is an indispensible task to cultivate cultural education including traditional practices

and associated activities for a delightful learning environment. We have done it to back and forth education. The

vision of the concept is to adopt the cultural education policy and practice to mitigate the cultural challenges which

face the current world. In the program all the speaker delivered their valuable speech.

Cultural Education for all students, all peoples, everywhere

BITA executive director attended in the Creative Activism Workshop A creative activism workshop arranged in the TCDC, Arusha, Tanzania on 09 to 12 December 2019. BITA executive director attended in the workshop. The workshop seeks to-provide an exchange and learning platform based on practical experiences on how creative activism can help to disrupt and re-imagine restrictive and dominant narratives on development and civil society, open up new imaginary spaces and suggest hitherto hidden alternatives in contexts of shrinking civic space for young people and women. Government and international organizations now recognize the importance of culture and artistic expression in contributing to and enabling sustainable development. There is also increasing recognition of the role of art and local cultural forms in unlocking development dilemmas, unpacking and exploring different visions of the future and in speaking truth to power in arbitrary political environments. Cultural forms present alternative visions of personhood, dignity, rights and histories that can play a role in reframing international development agendas and reimagining civil society in ways that can be positive for people living in poverty and exclusion, But this potential has not yet been fully exploited.BITA executive director kicked off sharing of experiences in using creative activism to enhance and advance civic space. He shared how we see creativity taking force in country context and how we have used creative activism to disrupt and re-imagine restrictive and dominant narratives on development and civil society, open up new imaginary spaces. This workshop builds on and shares work from a collaboration between the Centre for Applied Human Rights-CAHR (University of York), ActionAid, the University of Dhaka, Makerere University and artists, activists and researchers in Bangladesh and Uganda.
