Reporting andAnalysis forImprovement through schoolSelf-Evaluation
www.raiseonline.org
Using RAISEonline for School Self-Evaluation
RAISEonline is designed to provide:(1) An overview of a school’s attainment and progress (value-added).(2) The facility to ‘drill down’ to examine the results for pupil groups (e.g. gender, ethnic group, SEN) and individual pupils.
It helps schools to answer the following sort of questions: Are results improving in each subject. How do our results compare to
national averages? Are there any differences in the attainment of different groups of pupils e.g.
gender, ethnic group, pupils with EAL, pupils with special needs? Are all pupils making good progress (value-added). Are there any
differences in the progress made by different groups of pupils? Using question level analysis, which areas of the curriculum are pupils
strong in/weak in? What are the implications of our analysis for school improvement planning
and targeting?
RAISEonline Features
• Replaces the PANDA report (The equivalent to the PANDA report is called the ‘Full Report’ in RAISEonline)
• Provides data on the school context compared to national averages (e.g. SEN, FSM, EAL, Pupil mobility)
• Provides data on end of Key Stage attainment with trend analysis, comparisons with national averages, results by pupil characteristics (e.g. gender, ethnic group, special educational needs, free school meal eligibility, EAL, prior attainment band) and results for individual pupils.
• Provides data on pupil progress, including contextual value-added analysis by subject, by pupil characteristics (as above) and for individual pupils.
• Includes the facility to carry out question level analysis for end of KS2 tests and QCA optional tests (schools need to enter their own question level results data).
• Provides pupil level ‘forecasts’ to support target setting.
• Includes tutorials and the facility to save and share reports.
Data availability in RAISEonline• Currently only 2005 attainment and VA/CVA data are available.
• 2006 data will be available as follows:
