Next slide is a Hubble deep space photograph multiple (~800) time exposures

taken over 11.3 days into a small, black portion of space in 2004. Peering into this ultra deep field, is roughly equivalent to

looking through an 8 foot long soda straw. 10,000 galaxies billions of light years away.

From several sources there are an estimated 10E22 to 10E24 stars in the

observable universe

A quarter placed within the United States is a close comparison to our Solar System within the Milky Way

Galaxy. The tip of a pin would completely cover the earth. Our God is an awesome God…

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalms 19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Psalms 19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Psalms 19:4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Psalms 19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. Psalms 19:6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Gen 1:14-16 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to

divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so and God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day,

and the lesser light to rule the night: he

made the stars also.

The Creator’s appointed times or moedim are on His calendar…So lets take a brief look at the

Biblical descriptions of the Creator’s astronomical calendar.

Page 33: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

The Creator’s Calendar

Exodus 12:2-6 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an

house: And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according

to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: And ye shall keep it

up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in

the evening.

Page 34: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Abib (or Aviv) is the first month of the year on the Creator’s calendar. In the spring, determined by the ripening of the

barley in Israel.

Page 35: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

אביב'abı[ ybaw-beeb'From an unused root (meaning to be tender); green, that is a young ear of grain; hence the name of the month Abib or Nisan: - Abib, ear, green ears of corn.

Page 36: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Exodus 13:4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Exodus 23:15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed (moed) of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:

Exodus 34:18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

Deut.16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Page 37: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

On the Creator’s Calendar, each month (Hodesh) begins at the beginning of the lunar cycle; at the first confirmed

sighting of the new (or renewed) moon.

חדשchodeshkho'-deshFrom H2318; the new moon; by implication a month: - month (-ly), new moon.

Page 38: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork
Page 39: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork
Page 40: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

THE MOON WAS NOT CREATED TO BE WORSHIPPED! The Middle Eastern people recognized a moon god and

called him "Allah". That should be a hint that the purpose of the moon would be counterfeited by a people group who

hate Israel, and that phases of the moon would be emphasized rather than just using the sighting of the New

Moon for the purposes of establishing God’s moedim.

Page 41: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

There can be no doubt that the biblical Holy days are dependent on the moon. The strongest proof of this is the

passage in Psalm 104:19 (CJB) which declares:

"You made the moon to mark the seasons [Mo'edim]"

Page 42: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

"Hodesh" (New Moon), is derived from the root spelled het, dalet, shin meaning "new" or rather "to make new/renew".

The Crescent New Moon is called Hodesh because it is the first time the moon is seen anew after being concealed for

several days at the end of the lunar cycle.

Page 43: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Leviticus 23 – The Feasts (seasons, moedim or appointed times) of the LORD

1. Passover (Pesach) 14th day of Abib2. Unleavened Bread (Hag Matza) 15th day of Abib 7 days3. First Fruits Feast Concludes4. Pentecost (Shavuot) 50 days later (7 weeks)5. Trumpets (Yom Teruah) 1st day of 7th month6. Atonement (Yom Kippur) 10th day of 7th month7. Tabernacles (Sukkot) 15th day of 7th month

Sabbath days (Shabbat) and New Moons (Hodesh) are also included as appointed times (or moedim). ALL include high Sabbath days and are Holy Convocations to the LORD.

Page 44: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Holy…H6944קדשqodeshko'-deshFrom H6942; a sacred place or thing; rarely abstractly sanctity: - consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (X most) holy (X day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary.

Convocation…H4744מקראmiqra'mik-raw'From H7121; something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal: - assembly, calling, convocation, reading.

Page 45: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

The Messiah (the Passover Lamb) was executed on Pesach, He IS the unleavened bread (without sin) and He

IS the first fruit of the resurrection. Fifty days later the disciples received the promised gift of the Holy Spirit at

Pentecost.

Page 46: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

PROPHETIC IMPLICATIONS

Our Messiah fulfilled the Spring Feasts of the LORD in His first coming…..Prophetically speaking, He should (I believe

WILL) fulfill the Fall Feasts in His second coming (the feasts, holy convocations, are like dress rehearsals). That our Heavenly Father instituted for his people to rehearse

for centuries before the coming of the Messiah.

Page 47: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Psalms 147:4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by

number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

We see the mazzeroth (zodiac) identified in the book of Job

1. ORION – called Kesiel (9:9, 38:31)2. SCORPIO – “Chambers of the South” (9:9)3. HYDRA – “the crooked serpent” (26:13)4. URSA MAJOR – “Arcturus with his sons” (38:32)5. TAURUS – referred to by its most prominent feature, the Pleaides, Kimah or the seven stars (38:31)6. PLEIADES AND ORION – Amos 5:8

Page 49: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Job 9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.

Job 26:13 By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Job 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

Job 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

Page 50: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Mazzeroth…H4216מזרהmazzarahmaz-zaw-raw'Apparently from H5144 in the sense of distinction; some noted constellation (only in the plural), perhaps collectively the zodiac: - Mazzoroth. Compare H4208.

Page 51: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

The Gospel of the Kingdom is written in the Heavens.

Page 52: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

The Star of Bethlehem was a planetary conjunction that was prophesied long before by the prophet Daniel. The

Magi (or the wise men) that came bearing gifts to the young child Yeshua were following that prophecy from over 4

centuries in the past during the Babylonian exile.

Page 53: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Rev 12:1,2 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Comets…are considered “strange” light in the mazzeroth

-Were not part of the mazzeroth

-Were not part of the annual cycle

-Considered as a warning or a bad omen

Page 58: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Mat 16:1-3 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the

sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the

times?

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Eclipses on God’s calendar

Solar eclipses can only occur near the end of the conjunction at the Hodesh or new moon, or the first day of

the Biblical month.

Lunar eclipses can only occur in the full moon portion of the cycle in the middle of the Biblical month

Page 61: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Eclipses Of Prophetic Significance

-When an eclipse (sign) occurs on a Biblical Feast day (season) according to God’s calendar. These have proven historically to have prophetic significant.

-When a series of eclipses (solar and lunar) occur on a series of Feast days, there is a much higher statistical improbability for their occurrence.

-a tetrad is the occurrence of four simultaneous eclipses, considered here, the tetrads ONLY occur on feast days.

Without God’s calendar we would miss all of these events!

Page 65: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Since Yeshua’s time on earth, we have seen 8 tetrads that occurred on feast days that have had some prophetic

significance regarding Israel.

Page 66: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

1.  162-163 AD Occurred on Passover and Feast of Tabernacles; coincided at the height of the worst persecution of Jews and Christians in the history of the Roman Empire.  Thousands were martyred in Rome's arenas.  Rome was suddenly flooded by the Tiberas River in the spring of 162 AD, leading to severe famine and a plague that killed 1/3 of the Roman Empire's population.  Prophetic significance:  Jews remain scattered.

2. 795-796 AD Occurred on Passover and Tabernacles; coincided with King Charlemagne of the Holy Roman Empire establishing a demilitarized zone (DMZ) between France and Spain which halted Islamic invasions into Western Europe.

This was a key turning point in spread of Christianity in Europe and stability of Jews in the region.  Prophetic significance:  Jews remain scattered.

Page 67: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

3.  842-843 AD Occurred on Passover and Tabernacles; coincided with the break-up of the Carolingian Empire in Europe, weakening the position of Jews in Europe and setting the stage for their future persecution. This also led to Rome being sacked and the Vatican being looted by Islamic armies.  Prophetic significance:  Jews remain scattered.

4. 860-861 AD Occurred on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles; coincided with the Greeks of the Byzantine Empire defeated the Arab armies at the Battle of Lalakaon in Turkey and stopped the Islamic invasion of Eastern Europe. This kept Islam confined to Asia Minor and the Middle East, allowing the continued spread of Christianity in Europe, thus allowing Jewish people to live in relatively security.   Prophetic significance:  Jews remain scattered.

Page 68: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

5. 1428-1429 AD In 1418, there was a successful lobbying effort by Jewish people to win back their old privileges. A gathering, convoked by the Jewish people in Forli, sent a deputation with costly gifts to Pope Martin V. In their argument, the Jews of Forli asked the Pope to abolish the oppressive laws promulgated by Benedict XIII, and they also asked the Pope to grant the Jews those privileges which had been accorded them under previous Popes. The deputation succeeded in its mission. The Jews were seeking protection from Martin V. Prophetic significance, Jews found some favor under this pope, but remained scattered.

Page 69: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

6.  1493-1494 ADOccurred on Passover and the Feast of Trumpets; coincided with the Spanish Inquisition when the King of Spain ordered all Jews to leave the country.   The Jews had settled in the region about 200 AD and thus Spain became a second Jewish homeland.  In 1492, the Jewish people were expelled from Spain via the “Edict of Expulsion” by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella. The Jewish people were given 14 days to leave the country. Christopher Columbus, took three ships to the “New World” loaded with Jews leaving Spain. Many gave their children to Spanish gentiles, sold what they could at a huge loss. Columbus given money and maps for his voyage East toward the Americas. Prophetic significance:  Jews remain scattered.

Page 70: Biblical Astronomy. Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork

Five hundred years later…

7.  1949-1950 ADOccurred on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles; coincided with (1) the rebirth of Israel as an independent nation on May 14, 1948, (2) the winning of the Israeli War for Independence and the first official permanent government on January 25th, 1949, and (3) the Knesset passing the "Law of Return" on July 5, 1950 which gave Jews the right to settle in Israel and obtain citizenship .   Prophetic significance:  Jews regathered, Israel a nation.

8. 1967-1968 ADOccurred on Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles; coincided with the "6-Day War" of June 5-10, 1967 with Israel retaking of Jerusalem and capturing critical portions of land including  Judea, Samaria, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank and the Golan Heights.  Prophetic significance:  Jews regathered, Israel a nation, Jerusalem regained.

9. 2014-2015 AD Began on Passover of this year ???

The odds of a Full Moon 1 in 29The odds of a Lunar Eclipse 1 in 110The odds of a Lunar Super moon eclipse 1 in 6570

So the odds of this umbral lunar eclipse happening with the moon in perigee on an appointed Feast day are beyond Astronomical…………

BUT…this is what is happening on the last blood moon of this current Tetrad on September 28, 2015at Tabernacles.

1Thess. 5:1-4 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the

night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a

woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should

overtake you as a thief. (emphasis mine)
