Preface:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Merciful, All praise be to Allah and His peaceand Blessings be on His Servant and Messenger Mohammad, his progeny, his
companions and all other prophets and righteous servants of Allah. Afterward.
While surfing Scribd books, I stumbled upon a book that deals with apparent
contradictions in Quran. The posting is done by Iris89 and is based on the research done
by one Syed Kamran Mirza, a Muslim sounding name.
In no way it is clear that it is a real Muslim or a sort of pen name. The allegations and the
inference drawn, shows that neither Iris89 or Kamran Mirza have real knowledge about
Islam or Quranic teachings.
However there is one merit of the presentation, that he has quoted references of Quranic
verses from three well known translations. That is a real help and shows sincerity.
However this sincerity is missing, when he tries to comment on the inference drawn fromthese translations.
The writer has acknowledged that he does not know Arabic, so he has only relied upon
the translations.
The so called contradictions in Quran come in these categories:
1. Based on misunderstanding.
2. Based on ignorance.
3. Based on Malice (By using words like moon god before Allah).
4. Scientific facts mentioned in Quran.
Before I comment on every one of these apparent contradictions, I would like to point out
a few points, which will help us in our discussions.
A. Basic purpose of Revelations: The books or revelation are send by God to Hisprophets for guidance of human kind. The revelation is not sent to teach humans science,
mathematics or any such things.
B. What is Revelation: The words which are transmitted to the prophets of God are the
real revelations. These words which are uttered by the prophets in their own language are
revelations.
-

4/55
C. Translations of Scriptures into other language is not revelation per see: If some
one translates the uttered words of prophets into another language, then this translation is
not same as revelation. It may faithfully convey the original message, but it cannot takethe place of the words which were revealed to the prophets.
Each language has its own peculiarities, the words have different shade of meanings, thetranslators might choose one shade of meaning, which might seem true at some stage and
seem out of focus due to passage of time.
D. The so called scientific verses in Quran and other scriptures: When God refers to
some phenomenon of nature in Quran and in other scriptures, the purpose is to prove His
Power, Wisdom and Mercy and ask humankind to reflect on these Natural phenomenon
as a means to remembrance of God.
Most of revelations were sent when the science was not that much developed. Since the
source of Revelation was God and His knowledge supercedes past, present and future, so
God at no stage would tell a lie.
But how to express an Idea which is much advanced in age to the people who are notdeveloped so much? Therein lies the importance of Original Words Used by God in
Sending Revelations.
God uses such words, so that they never go out of age. With changing human knowledgedifferent shades of meanings of the original words come into force.
That is why the translations go out of age and contain error and not the OriginalRevelation.
E. Difference Between Quran and Other Scriptures: The beauty of Quran is that it ispreserved in its original Arabic and in its original beauty. Other Scriptures are available
in translated forms or comments from other hands have entered into the main text.
In case of Quran when any difficulty arises, we go back to Original Arabic text and
contemplate on the different meaning of the Original Arabic Words used, we can
therefore find the shade which satisfies observed facts.
Even though that sense was not very apparent to the people in whose age Quran was
revealed.
But in case of other scriptures, we are left with human translations and human
interpolation into the text, and the originals have been lost. Therefore we are unable to
sort out the problem and have to do lot of mental gymnastic to remove the contradictions.

F. So called Contradictions in Quran can be resolved and explained and not in
Bible: Preservation of Quran in Original Arabic solves these so called contradiction,
whereas in the case of Bible they persist, because we have no access to the originalrevelation from God.
With these opening words, I give here my Point-By Point answer to the cases mentionedin the above booklet. I have presented it in Tabular Form, giving full text in one column
and my comments in another column.
Note: My name is MUQ in these answers.

40:
Some see an error or contradiction in these scriptures relatedto the amount of time Jesus (Yeshua) was in the grave, but
there is NONE. The true facts are:
"Yes, it does seem that way. We must remember that theBible was written in other languages by cultures far
removed from ours. Most alleged contradictions stem froma misunderstanding of certain terms and phrases. For
example, Jesus predicted that He would be in the grave for
"three days and three nights"(Matt.12:40). When we
read the passion narratives, we see that He was crucified lateFriday afternoon and that He rose from the dead, early on
Sunday morning. It is impossible to get three days and three
nights out of this, and I have seen many atheists refer toJesus' prophecy as a "blatant error which completely
destroys the credibility of the Bible."[

2. Numerical Contradictions:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
NUMERICAL CONTRADICTIONS
There are many numerical contradictions in the Quran. CanGod make so much error in doing simple calculations? How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth ?
Quran 7: 54 Your guardian-Lord is Allah who created the
heavens and earth in Six DaysQuran 10: 3 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the
heavens and earth in Six Days
Quran 11:7 He it is Who created the heavens and earth inSix Days Quran-25:29: He Who created the heavens and
earth and all that is between, in Six Days
The above verses clearly state that God created the heaven
and Allah created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days. But
the verses below stated-
Quran 41: 9 Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in
Two Days ?
Quran 41: 10 He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firmhigh above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and
measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due
proportion, in FOUR DAYS...
Quran 41: 12 So He completed them (heavens) as sevenfirmaments in Two days and
...Now do the math: 2(for earth) + 4(for nourishment) + 2 (for
heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days
1. I think this is a pur
misunderstanding or misinterpretatioof Quranic verses 41:9-12.
2. Does Quran say that after one stag
was finished, then the other started
Why cant some stages be run iParallel?
3. The shaping of earth can continuwith the forming of heavens, so indee
there is no numerical contradiction a
all.
4. By the way Arabic Word used i
AYYAM, which literally means day
and not day. So it is an indefinitperiod, which could be thousands o
even millions of years.
5. The real problem is in genesis ch.1
where after every day, night i
mentioned , giving the notion of ou
24 hours day.

3. Numerical Contradictions (Inheritance Portions):
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
Similar mistakes you can see in the verse: Quran 4: 11 - 12,and Quran 4: 176 in inheritance law. In these verses one cansee the total property after adding all distributed parties
adds up more than the available property, i.e., totals become
more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come ? A gross
mathematical errors, is not it ?
1. This is based on purmisunderstanding and ignorance oIslamic inheritance law.
2. I have dealt it separately in detai
which will show how ignorant thestwo people are, one who writes and th
other who quotes him withou
thinking.

4. Numerical Contradictions ( Allah s Days)
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
Allah's Days Equal to 1000 Years or 50,000 Years?
Quran 22: 47 A day in the sight of the Lord is like athousand years of your reckoning.Quran-32:5: To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be a
thousands years of your reckoning
Quran 70: 4 The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a
day the measure whereof is Fifty thousands years.
So, which one is it? Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth
years or 50,000 earth years?
1. This is again a tota
misunderstanding, 22:47 & 32: 5 showa general criterion.
2. 70:4 shows the specific case of th
day of Judgment, where is th
supposed contradiction?
3. By the way these figures of 1,00
and 50,000 are not the real countsThey represent very large period o
time.
4. Time is a relative term (and I thin
Theory of Relativity also says sam
thing), our counting of days and year
could be different from Allahs dayswho is eternal.

5. Creation of Heavens and Earths, which was created First?
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
CREATION OF THE HEAVEN AND EARTH
Which one was created first? As you will see in the versesbelow,
Allah at one time says that Earth was created first and
another time he says that the Heaven was created first.
Quran 2: 29 It is He who hath created for you all things that
are on Earth; THEN He turned to the Heaven and madethem into seven firmaments (Skies)....
Quran 79: 27 - 30 Are you the harder to create, or is the
heaven that He built? He raised the height thereof andordered it; and He has made dark the night thereof,
and He brought forth the morning thereof. And after that,
He spread (flattened) the earth
Now, does it match modern science? Do you believe that,
Earth was created first, after that, God created Heaven?
Modern science tells us that? Or How come SEVENfirmaments (layers)?
Modern science tells us that, actually there is no such thing
Sky is no "roof" over us. It is only a space with no knownboundary at all. These verses simply reinforce the ancient
idea of ROOF over us which is called SKY, is it not so?How funny!
Your Friend in Christ Iris89 -
1. The apparent contradiction i
because of translation of Arabic worTHUMMA, which is generally used aThereafter, but it is not always use
to denote sequential events.
2. Examples of such usages in Quraare numerous and Arabic speakin
people understand these subtleties. S
there is no contradiction here.
3. Now coming to the word heavens
the actual Arabic word used iSAMAA., which ahs various shade
of meanings. It is not always used fo
skies or heavens, in Arabic idiom, an
thing above earth is SAMAA
4. That is why in various places i
Quran, Allah tells that he sends Watefrom Skies or heavens, that does no
mean in the literal sense.
5. Now coming to number 7, it is noused in literal sense. In Arabic idiom
this word is used to show plurality oindeterminate numbers. So th
heavens could be many. Our Eart
atmosphere could be one sky, then ou
solar system, then our own galaxy anso on.
6. The verses of Quran therefore dnot contradict Modern science at all, i
fact they match perfectly.

6. Sun Set and Sun Rise
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
This part consist of: 3- Sun-set and Sun-rise and 4- A
Resting Place For Sun!?
SUN-SET AND SUN-RISE
Koran teaches us that the Sun sets in a muddy spring:
Quran 18: 86 Till, when he (the traveler Zul-qarnain)
reached the setting-place of the Sun, he found it going down
into a muddy spring...Quran 18: 90 Till, when he reached the rising-place of the
Sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had
appointed no shelter from it.
Serious scientific errors here! Firstly, it is scientifically
accepted fact that, the Sun never go down in a muddy
spring. Secondly, this seems to presuppose a FLATEarth, otherwise how can there be an extreme point in the
West or in the East?
A sunrise there would be basically just the same as at any
other place on this earth, at land or sea. It would still look as
if it is setting "far away".
It does say, that he reached THE PLACE where the Sun sets
and in his second Journey the place where it rises.
1. This allegation is again based o
misinformation, misunderstanding omalice.
2. Sun may not rise or not set, but in
human idiom it is always refereed a
such. You open any Almanac or anNews Paper, it mentions time of Su
Rise and Sun Set. I do not know an
one complaining to these people as twhy they publish such non Scientifi
things in this modern age?
3. Now coming to the story of Zul
Qarnain, it is mentioned that he saw
the sun setting in murky water. Thi
information is added so that if any onwants to find out or trace the journey
in western direction it would terminat
at a place where delta is situated. Anin the eastern most end, it woul
terminate in an area which wa
populated by a very unciviliz
people.
4. These checklists were used bMuslim scholars to identify who i
meant by Zul-Qarnain (More on that a
another place).

7. Resting Place for Sun:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
A RESTING PLACE FOR SUN!?
Quran 36: 38 And the sun runneth on unto a resting placefor him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
Quran 36: 39 And for the moon We have appointed
mansions till she return like an old shriveled palm leaf.
Quran 36: 40 It is not for Sun to overtake the moon, nordoth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
Allah is indeed a big scientist. Where is sun and where ismoon situated? Can anybody tell me how they could
collide/meet/overtake each other?
Are the sun and the moon neighbors to each other? I have
the answer for this error:
Ancient Allah saw (bare eye observations) sun and moontraveling from east to west seemingly in the same Sky area
or same path, without colliding, causing day and night etc.
Allah hardly could imagine that all these phenomena aresimply due to Earth's rotation and NOT by Sun's rotation.
Sun is stationary for Earth, because earth is stuck in the
sun's Gravity, like we are stuck in earth's gravity. Allahnever says any where in the whole Quran that, EARTH
ROTATES. Perhaps Allah could not feel earth's rotation.
A resting place for sun WAS CONFIRMED BY HADITHS?
Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 421
Sahih Bukhari Hadiths: Abzur Ghifari (ra) narrated: one dayProphet Mohammad (pbuh) asked me, "Abzar do you know
after setting where does Sun go?"
I replied, I do not know, only Allah's apostle can say better.
Then Prophet (SA) replied, "After setting, the sun remains
prostrated under Allah's Aro'sh and waits for Allah'scommand for rising again in the East. Day will come when
sun will not get permission to rise again and Qeyamot will
fall upon Earth".
Can anybody tell me what is it? It was the superstitious
belief of ancient people reflected in the Quran and Hadiths
1. This allegation is again based o
malice and misunderstanding.
2. The writer is very content to tal
about sun and moon orbits and th
distances between the two.
3. He has forgotten, when these orbit
and distances were calculated an
what were the theories running aroun1400 years ago. The Quran is for a
ages, and what it says is very true.
4. Sun cannot catch moon and nigh
cannot outstrip the day. These ar
facts which are true today and wer
true at every age.
5. Then sun and whole solar system i
moving at a marvelous speed, where will end? Does any of our so calle
scientists know or it will go on goin
for ever and ever? Allah says that Su
and Moon and every things wiremain only for a time which is fixe
by Allah. So they all are moving ttheir resting place.
6. The Hadith of Bukhari is i
allegorical language and beyond ouliteral understanding. Every Creatur
does communicate to Allah, in a wa
we do not know. So we cannot sawith our limited scientific knowledg
that sun and moon do not talk or liste
to the commands of their Creator.
7. Some thing which we canno
understand today or have no means t
confirm does not necessarily mean thait is wrong. Have we reached th
summit of scientific knowledge an

8. Purpose of Creation of Stars:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
WHY OLD MIDDLE EASTERN CELESTIAL MOONGOD, "ALLAH," CREATED STARS!
Quran gives us further scientific knowledge by telling us
that the stars were created by Allah as missiles to throw at
the devils:
Quran 67: 5 And We have (from of old) adorned the lowest
heaven (sky) with lamps, and We have made such (Lampsas) missiles to drive away Satans...
Quran 37: 6-8 We have indeed decorated the lower heaven
(sky) with beauty (in) the stars, (for beauty) and for guardagainst all obstinate rebellious Satan. So they should not
strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but
be cast away from every side.
Thus, the stars are nothing but missiles to throw at devils so
that they may not eavesdrop on the heavenly council. Once
again we find how Allah was high on his superstitiousweirdness.
1. Where does Quran say, that onlpurpose of Creation of Stars is to bused as missiles for devils?
2. It says that some are used for tha
purpose, and there is nothing by whicwe can deny it.
3. How the devils reach sky and try tlisten there are the realms which w
have not learned so far.
4. So we in no way can say that Quran
is speaking a non scientific thing.

9. Sky / Heavens a roof or canopy over the earth:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
IS SKY/HEAVEN A ROOF OR CANOPY OVER THEEARTH?
Quran 21: 32 And We have made the sky a roof withheld
(from them). Yet they turn away from its portents.
Quran 31: 10 He hath created the heavens (Skies) withoutsupports (pillars) that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth
firm Mountains/Hills, so that it quake not with you; and He
hath dispersed...Quran 2: 22: Who has made the earth your couch, And the
heavens (Sky) your canopy Modern science tells us- whole
thing around the earth is space and there is no boundaryeven if we go Billions of light years away in all directions.
Questions are:
When there is no sky above us then how in the world, it
needs pillars for support? Do we really have a roof above
us? Is there a canopy above the Earth? Is there anythingcalled above or beneath us?
Are mountains there to prevent Earth from shaking? Give
me a break!
Once again Allah considered sky as roof over the Earth, which will broke/shattered during dooms day
Quran 78: 19 And the heavens (sky) Shall be broken
(opened) as if there were doors opens...
Quran 82: 1 When the Sky is cleft asunderQuran 69: 16 And the sky will be Rent asunder, for it will
That day be flimsy (soft)
Quran 81: 2 When the stars fall, losing their luster.
Yousuf Ali comments in his Tafsir: beautiful blue-sky
overhead (which we take for granted in sunshine) will beshattered to pieces. Modern science tells us that there is no
such thing as roof/sky or any canopy over the Earth; rather
all around Earth is a limitless space. Only Allah knows what
will break/shatter or will get soft/flimsy or how doors willopen , there is no walls, where from doors will come? In
some Ayats Allah threatened kafirs by saying: "I (Allah) will
1. As I mentioned earlier, the Arabiword SAMAA has different shades omeanings. It is spoken as anythin
above the earth.
2. The sky does seem to our nakeeyes as a sheet or canopy over ou
heads under which every thing i
covered.
3. Quran says that Allah has made thi
sky on pillars which we do not see anit is true. Every thing in universe i
held together by the force of gravity,
thing which we cannot see.
4. The purpose of mountains is t
stabilize the earth, so that it does no
shake continuously due to molten masbelow and that is true scientifically.
5. Kafirs asking for prophet to let
portion of sky fall on them was challenge to bring some natura
calamity to them. A meteor falling oearth from outer space is indeed
portion of sky falling on earth!!
6. On the last day, how the gates oskies will open and angels will descen
is a thing we do not perceive now, bu
we will see with our own eyes whethat day come. So there is nothin
against science in these descriptions.

speaks of some things which we ar

scientific knowledge.

10. DOES SUN ROTATE AROUND THE EARTH?
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
10. DOES SUN ROTATE AROUND THE EARTH?
Quran 31: 29 Seest thou not that Allah merges Night intoDay and He merges Day into Night; That He has subjected
the sun and moon (to His law), each running its course for a
term (time) appointed.
Quran 21: 33 It is He who created The Night and Day, Andthe Sun and Moon; each of them Swim (float) along in its
own course.
Ayats mentioned above could be found over and over again
and again almost in every pages of Quran. Because, Old
middle eastern celestial Moon god, "Allah," standingin the open Arab desert saw very well that, every morning
SUN is rising from the East and gradually (appointed time
or fixed time) setting to the West, and as a result, day and
night follows. Old middle eastern celestial Moon god,"Allah," truly mentioned this wrong knowledge (sun
moving) of pre-historic people.
Every time Old middle eastern celestial Moon god, "Allah,"
mentioned Sun & Moon, He mentioned day & night, as if it
is due to sun's movement day and night follows.
But surprisingly, all the hypocrite Mullahs giving false
credit to Old middle eastern celestial Moon god, "Allah," bysaying: look Quran told about sun's movement 1400 years
ago which modern science only found out now. In real
world, sun takes 225 millions of years to make just one
complete circle through the solar Universe.
And obviously this movement of sun has nothing to do with
DAY & NIGHT of the earth. Actually, Sun is stationary inrelation to the Earth, because the Earth is stuck to the giant
gravitation force of the Sun, and the Earth also moves along
with the Sun wherever it goes, just the way we are stuck tothe Earth's gravitation force and do not feel its movement at
all.
Why then, Old middle eastern celestial Moon god, "Allah,"was telling the Sun's movement again and again. I have
already mentioned above, why Old middle eastern
1. Use of the word moon god for Alla
shows the extreme malice which thwriter has towards the Arabic WorAllah, which is used by All Arab
(Including Arab Jews and Christians
to denote Unique Creator an
Sustainer of the Universe.
2. The word Allah is used extensivel
in Arabic Translations of Bible, stithis man has extreme malice towar
this word and uses this in derogator
way. How can one expect any fairnesand justice from such an uncouth man
3. Now movement of sun is clear t
every one on this earth and the termSun Rise and Sun Set are commo
usage in every language and ever
country of the world, there is nothinunusual if these are used in Quran.
4. The allegation that Quran says tha
sun moves around the earth, is in hiown imaginations. Quran never say
that.
5. In fact it says that sun and moon
earth and stars, night and day all ar
moving in their own orbits. This was new scientific fact mentioned 140
years ago and is still true today!!
6. Yes not very far ago, it was believe
that sun is stationary and earth move
around the sun and they were sayinthat Quran by saying that sun is als
moving is against Modern Science
But Quran remained the same an
Modern Science changed thestance and found that sun is movin

celestial Moon god, "Allah," was hysteric about the Sun's

Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
11. DOES EARTH SPREAD OUT LIKE CARPET(FLAT)?
Quran 15: 19 And the earth We have spread out (like a
carpet); set thereon Mountains firm and immovable;Quran 78: 6-7 Have We not made the earth as a wide
expanse, And the mountains as pegs (anchor)?
Allah was sure that earth is flat like a carpet and mountains
are there to anchor the earth so that earth does not shake

12. IS MAN CREATED FROM CLOTTED BLOOD?
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
12. IS MAN CREATED FROM CLOTTED BLOOD?
Quran-23:14: Then fashioned We the drop (semen) a CLOTOF CONGEALED BLOOD then fashioned We the Clot a
little lump (foetus), fashioned We the little lump into bones,
then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it
another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators. (
Bengali translated Quran said:
"Zamaa't Raokto theeke Manoosh banieesi" And this Ayathas been repeated again and again throughout the Quran )
Quran-75:38: Then he becomes a CLOT; then (Allah)
shaped and fashioned...Quran 96: 2 Created man, out of amere clot of congealed blood
There are serious scientific problems here:
Blood clot cannot grow into anything. This idea also camefrom the Greek. Aristotle erroneously believed that, humans
are originated from the action of male semen upon female
menstrual blood, which is absolutely an incorrectassumption.
Quran's assertion on Clot (alaqa) is completely wrong about
human development, since there is absolutely no stageduring which the embryo consists of a clot. The only
situation in which an embryo might appear like a clot isduring a miscarriage, in which case the clotted blood that is
seen to emerge (much of which comes from mother) is
solidified and by definition no longer alive. Therefore, if
ever an embryo appeared to look like a clot it would neverdevelop any further into a human; it would be a dead mass
of bloody miscarrying flesh.
Since Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) had some thirteen wives
it is entirely possible that he would be very familiar with
miscarriages.
Modern science tells us that, the formation of human
embryo is a seamless continuation from conception to birth;
hence there are no hard- and- fast boundaries of stages asQuran describes. Quran describes 4 stages, which matches
exactly with Gaelic description of development of human
1. In fact here lies the beauty o
retaining the Original Arabic Revealeword. The word used in Quran iALAQA, it has three shades o
meaning, like a blood clot, some thin
which clings and a Leech. If an
shade of meaning satisfies oufindings, we cannot say that Quran i
wrong.
2. If some commentators took
particular sense of meaning at som
time and later it was shown that it wanot correct, then the fault is o
translators and not of Quran.
3. The best authority on HumaEmbryology in our times is Prof. Keit
Moore, who has confirmed tha
Quranic description of development ohuman fetus is better and easier tha

embryology.
4. In the earliest stages of pregnancy
human embryo looks like a tiny LeecLike Substance, which Clings to th
womb of Mother and has an oute

6. Then Quran says that We create

embryo (which was proved wrong by modern science).
Creation of bones and clothing of bones with flesh:According to modern embryologists including Prof. Moore,
the tissue from which bone originates, known as mesoderm,
is the same tissue as that from which muscle (flesh)
develops. Thus bone and muscles begin to developsimultaneously, rather than sequentially (as the Quran is
telling us). Moreover, most of the muscle tissue that wehumans have is laid down before birth, but bones continue
to develop and calcify (strengthen with calcium) right into
one's teenage years. So it would be more accurate if the
Quran had said that muscles started to develop at the sametime as bones, but completed their development earlier. The
idea that bones are clothed with flesh is not only
scientifically completely wrong/false, but was directlycopied from the ancient Greek doctor Galen's hypothesis.
Also, the idea of saying: "made into bones and clothed thebones with muscle" came from the technique of makinganimal statue out of rod and cement or mud. People
usually make the skeleton (out of rod or stick) first and, then
cover it up with cement or mud. This is scarcely a scientific
description of embryonic development. It is rather adescription of an unlettered man.
embryo development is in actua

13. IS RELIGION COMPULSIVE OR IS IT NOT?
Quran 02: 256 There is no Compulsion in religion....
OR
Quran 9: 29 Fight those who do not profess the truefaith(Islam) till they pay the poll tax (jiziya) with the hand
of humility.
Quran 9: 5 Then, when the sacred months have passed, slaythe idolaters wherever ye find them and take them captive,
and besiege them and prepare for them each ambush....
Quran 47: 4 When you meet the unbelievers in the Jihadstrike off their heads....

such is the reward of those who suppress faith.Quran 8: 65 O Apostle ! rouse the believers to the fight

Very often apologetics claim that, Islam is a religion of
peace and there is no compulsion. Yet punishment of an
apostate in Islam is, of course, death penalty.
In very many Ayats Allah claimed that, He has given this

Quran 44: 58 Verily, We have made This Quran easy in the

No matter which translated Quran we read, the Quranic
materials remain the same to us and every sentence is self
explanatory and it does not take a rocket scientist tocomprehend what is the message Allah wanted to transmit
for Arabs. Yet, bigot Mullahs will always blame translators
for Quranic contradictions/errors/inconsistencies etc. andwill try to find lame excuses to cover up Allah's ignorance.

More Errors in the Quran - Section 1
But first a statement by Quranic scholar, Syed KamranMirza.
Are these any better? Look, my whole point of this is that I
am tired of hearing how EVERY OTHER religious book out
there is "wrong and has lies but the Quran is perfect" I seethat no one stepped up to defend some of the other things
that I posted.....like this (these aren't errors, I'll get back to
those in a minute):
1. "Do not let non-Muslims enter mosques. They will go to
hell." ( Repentance: 17 )2. "O ye who believe! The non-Muslims are unclean. So let
them not come near the Inviolable Place of Worship."
(Repentance: 2)
3. "O ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers ....and let them find harshness in you." (Repentance: 123)
4. "Humiliate the non-Muslims to such an extent that they
surrender and pay tribute." (Repentance: 29)5. "O believers, do not treat your fathers and brothers as
your friends, if they prefer unbelief to belief, whosoever of
you takes them for friends, they are evildoers."
(Repentance: 20)6. "Certainly, God is an enemy to the unbelievers." ( The
Cow: 90 )7. "God has cursed the unbelievers, and prepared for them a
blazing hell." ( The Confederates 60 )
8. "Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends....
whoso does that belongs not to God." (The House of Imram:60)
9. "O believers, do not make friends with the Jews and
Christians; ..whoso of you makes them his friend is one ofthem." (The Table: 55)
10. "The believers indeed are brothers." ( Apartments: 10 )

What are some of those about? You aren't a good Muslim if
Here the writer goes again on witc
hunt, mistranslating anmisinterpreting verses of Quran, I wiprovide brief answers to each of them.
1. This is mistranslation of verse 9:17
the correct translation (Abdullah YousAli is) It is not such as join gods wit

Quran mentions a trait for people wh

is also referring to the Holy Mosque o
Makkah.
2 9:28 is about prohibiting No
Muslims to enter the Grand Mosque a

3. Verse 9:123 is again a mistranslatio
it reads O ye who believe! Fight thunbelievers who gird about you and le

It's kind of hard to "follow" something when it's telling me
to "murder those of the disbelievers"Oh well, like I said at the beginning of this......are these any
better? I know a couple of them are the same but it's from adifferent place.
5. Verse 5:20 The Translation is O
you who believe, take not for you protectors your fathers and yo

The Arabic World AULIA does no
negate common friendship, but takinthem as your protectors, there is
world of difference between the tw
meanings.
6. God is an enemy of unbeliever
there is nothing wrong in that!
7. God has cursed the unbelievers an
prepared for them hell fire, there nothing wrong in that either fromtheological point of view.
8. Here again the negation is to tak
unbelievers as your protectors and thais certainly OK.
9. Here also Allah warns Muslims noto take Jews and Christians as thei
protectors, because in the end they ar
protectors of each other. This is verprudent advice to Muslims and from
the day Muslims have ignored thi
advice, they have been betrayerepeatedly by Jews and Christians.
10 & 11. There is nothing wrong i
these verses either.
In dealings with Non Muslims, ther

Error in the Quran
This article was written in answer to a statement that thebible contains error whereas the Quran, the Muslim holybook, does not. It highlights ten of the more difficult to
explain contradictions within the Quran and will hopefully
help get some of our Muslim friends thinking, if you are a
Muslim I invite you to explain these contradictions andassure you that your refutations will be made public if this
is what you require.
Please note however that I will not accept simple statements
such as "you are wrong" as fact, answers must be supported
by either convincing evidence or at least by a logicalargument.
Yes that is what I am trying to do, s
far I have not found any contradictioin Quran which is a real contradiction
The so called contradictions are due t

15 The Samaritan that never was:

The Samaritan that never was:
Surah 20:85-87 and Sura 20:95-97 state that the calf
worshipped by the Israelites
was made by a Samaritan but neither the country of Samaria
(where Samaritans come from) nor the term Samaritanexisted during this time (the time of the Exodus) and so it is

and sad. He said: O my people! Hath not your Lord
promised you a fair promise? Did the time appointed then
appear too long for you, or did ye wish that wrath from yourLord should come upon you, that ye broke tryst with me?
SHAKIR: So Musa returned to his people wrathful,
sorrowing. Said he: O my people! did not your Lordpromise you a goodly promise: did then the time seem long
to you, or did you wish that displeasure from your Lord
should be due to you, so that you broke (your) promise tome?

The term was not used by anyone until around 722 BC,
hundreds of years after the exodus that the "error free"

16. The Miraculous Journey:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
The miraculous journey:
Surah 17:1 of the Quran reads.... "Glory to Allah Who didtake his servant for a journey by night. From the sacred
mosque to THE FARTHEST MOSQUE". Sura 17:1,
YUSUFALI: Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for
a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthestMosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We
might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who
heareth and seeth (all things).PICKTHAL: Glorified be He Who carried His servant by
night from the Inviolable Place of Worship to the Far distant
place of worship the neighborhood whereof We haveblessed, that We might show him of Our tokens! Lo! He,
only He, is the Hearer, the Seer.
SHAKIR: Glory be to Him Who made His servant to go on
a night from the Sacred Mosque to the remote mosque ofwhich We have blessed the precincts, so that We may show
to him some of Our signs; surely He is the Hearing, the
Seeing.
The furthest mosque (arabic name of which is Al-Masjid-ul-
Aqs-a) didn`t exist until AFTER Muhammed died,
Muhammed COULD NOT HAVE VISITED IT!Of course if this was added AFTER his death then it would
have been easy to make such a mistake, but Muslims areadamant the Quran has not changed....
This verse is said to have been revealed around 622 AD but
then the place the mosque, mentioned by name (so no
doubting which mosque is meant), is at did not exist andindeed the place it now sits was in CHRISTIAN hands then
and not Muslim. And no temple existed there either.
Muslims have attempted to say that the name is incorrect,
that the name in the Quran ("the farthest mosque") must
simply be another mosque with that name or that it refers tothe temple (which of course we know didnt exist then
either) - anything they can rather than admitting that the
Quran got it wrong.
1. In Quran the word MASJID AQSA
is used for the place and not thbuilding.
2. MASJID HARAM, the holy mosqu
at Makkah shall always be Mosque
even if there is no physical structurstanding there. Then MASJID
HARAM is the structure made b
Prophet Abraham and not the granstructure and building which surround
it.
2A. In the same way, MASJID AQSA
is the altar or stone which wa
anointed by Jacob for worship of Lord
The grand Temple made by Solomosurrounding that site is not MASJID
AQSA in the real sense. So even if th
temple was not standing, the place wastill there and that was the site visite
by our prophet on that blessed night.
3. In the same sense Quran says thaAllah took his prophet to th
Jerusalem Mosque (MASJID AQSAduring a blessed night, so that He ma
show him his signs.

17. Two of every thing
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
3) Two of everything:
Sura 51:49 of the Quran tells us that.... "of everything wehave created PAIRS that ye may receive instruction"
Sura 51:49,
YUSUFALI: And of every thing We have created pairs:
That ye may receive instruction.PICKTHAL: And all things We have created by pairs, that
haply ye may reflect.
SHAKIR: And of everything We have created pairs that youmay be mindful.
The Quran claims to be from Allah and here Allah tells usthat everything was made in pairs (incidentally Muslims say
they worship just one god, Allah, yet here the Quran says
"WE have created" and not "I have created"?).
Guess Allah didn`t make everything after all then, after all
there is gravity which keeps us down - but no anti-gravity
which pulls us up.
Bdelloid Rotifers (I`m not a scientist so hope I`ve spelled
this right are a class of life that have apparently, according
to the experts, been pair-less for millions of years.
I will not detail whole lists of things here that are not madein pairs such as certain types of plant, bacterium, etc etera

Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
4) Alexander the great - the Muslim BEFORE Mohammed:
We all know of the infamous Alexander the great, hehappened to think he was divine and had statues erected to
himself among his historical achievements. But did you
know he was a Muslim?
Surah 18 tells us of Zul-Quarnain, who Muslims havealways claimed is Alexander the great.
Sura 18:83,YUSUFALI: They ask thee concerning Zul-qarnain. Say, "I
will rehearse to you something of his story."
PICKTHAL: They will ask thee of Dhu'l-Qarneyn. Say: Ishall recite unto you a remembrance of him.
SHAKIR: And they ask you about Zulqarnain. Say: I will
recite to you an account of him.
And,
Sura 18.86,
YUSUFALI: Until, when he reached the setting of the sun,he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found
a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,)
either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."
PICKTHAL: Till, when he reached the setting-place of thesun, he found it setting in a muddy spring, and found a
people thereabout. We said: O Dhu'l-Qarneyn! Either punishor show them kindness.
SHAKIR: Until when he reached the place where the sun
set, he found it going down into a black sea, and found by it
a people. We said: O Zulqarnain! either give them achastisement or do them a benefit.
And,
Sura 18.94,
YUSUFALI: They said: "O Zul-qarnain! the Gog and

between us and them?
PICKTHAL: They said: O Dhu'l-Qarneyn! Lo! Gog and

SHAKIR: They said: O Zulqarnain! surely Gog and Magog
1. Quran never mentions the nam
Alexander the Great, it only uses thTitle Zul Qarnain, which means onwith two horns.
2. I do not deny that some Muslim
Commentators (Including AbdullaYousuf Ali) try to identify Alexande

19. The Amazing Tale of Pharaoh
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
5) The amazing tale of Pharaoh :
We all know of the infamous Pharaoh and how he perishedchasing after the Israelites. But did you know that Allah
killed him and also let him live?
Surah 10:92 tells us that Allah saved Pharaoh and let himlive but the same story elsewhere in the Quran (Suras 28:40,
17:103 and 43:55) say that actually pharaoh drowned!
Sura 10:92,YUSUFALI: "This day shall We save thee in the body, that
thou mayest be a sign to those who come after thee! but
verily, many among mankind are heedless of Our Signs!"PICKTHAL: But this day We save thee in thy body that
thou mayst be a portent for those after thee. Lo! most of
mankind are heedless of Our portents.
SHAKIR: But We will this day deliver you with your bodythat you may be a sign to those after you, and most surely
the majority of the people are heedless to Our Compare
with,
Sura 28:40,
YUSUFALI: So We seized him and his hosts, and We flung
them into the sea: Now behold what was the end of thosewho did wrong!
PICKTHAL: Therefor We seized him and his hosts, andabandoned them unto the sea. Behold the nature of the
consequence for evil-doers!
SHAKIR: So We caught hold of him and his hosts, then We
cast them into the sea, and see how was the end of theunjust.
And,
Sura 17:103,
YUSUFALI: So he resolved to remove them from the face
of the earth: but We did drown him and all who were withhim.
PICKTHAL: And he wished to scare them from the land,
but We drowned him and those with him, all together.
SHAKIR: So he desired to destroy them out of the earth, butWe drowned him and those with him all together;
1. I think this allegation is based o
total misunderstanding of Quraniverses.
2. Quran does claim at many place
that Pharaoh and his hosts wer
drowned in water. And there is nconfusion at all.
3. In Surah 10:92, Allah says tPharaoh , that this day we will sav
you in body, i.e. your body shall b

4. Quran does not say that Pharao
was saved alive, saving in thy bodand saving alive are totally differen
things and the writer has muddled u
the two.
5. It is very interesting to note tha
Bible is totally silent about the body o
Pharaoh, and it is mentioned only iQuran that the body of Pharaoh wa
saved.
6. It is very recent that the Body o
Exodus Pharaoh was discovered an
analyzed and it was confirmed that hdied because of drowning. This i
confirmation of Quranic verse afte

And,
Sura 43:55,YUSUFALI: When at length they provoked Us, We exacted
retribution from them, and We drowned them all.
PICKTHAL: So, when they angered Us, We punished them
and drowned them every one.SHAKIR: Then when they displeased Us, We inflicted a
retribution on them, so We drowned them all together,
Now if there is NO ERROR in the Quran then how can
Pharaoh have died in one Sura yet not died in the others?
Still no contradiction?

19. Angels cannot disobey Allah:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
6) Angels cannot disobey Allah:
Sura 16:49-50 says of the angels that "...They ALL fear their
Lord, high above them, and they do ALL THEY ARE
COMMANDED."
Suras 16:49-50,
16.49
YUSUFALI: And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in theheavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or
the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord).
PICKTHAL: And unto Allah maketh prostration hatsoeveris in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living
creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud.
SHAKIR: And whatever creature that is in the heavens and
that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and theangels (too) and they do not show pride.
16.50YUSUFALI: They all revere their Lord, high above them,
and they do all that they are commanded.
PICKTHAL: They fear their Lord above them, and do what
they are bidden.SHAKIR: They fear their Lord above them and do what
they are commanded.
Here we are told angels NEVER disobey Allah.
But, not suprisingly, the Quran then says in Sura 2:34 whentalking of the angels being told to bow down to Adam that
"And behold, we said to the angels: `bow down to Adam`.
And they bowed down, EXCEPT IBLIS. HE REFUSEDAND WAS HAUGHTY".
Sura 2:34,YUSUFALI: He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names."
When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I
know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye
reveal and what ye conceal?"PICKTHAL: He said: O Adam! Inform them of their names,
and when he had informed them of their names, He said:
1. This allegation is also based on totamisunderstanding and distorting oQuranic verses.
2. It is true that Allah says that Angel
do not disobey Allahs commands evein the least.
3. Then Quran very specifically saythat IBLIS was not from the angels bu
was from Jinns. Chapter 18:50 (a
mentioned by the writer himself).
4. Now when God gave command t
angels to bow down before Adam
IBLIS was also present there. Hmight be alone Jinn in that assemble o
Millions upon Millions of angels. Th
command was for all and it was nonecessary to give a separate comman
to IBLIS to bow down before Adam.
5. So this command of Allah does nomake IBLIS an angel. When Qura
specifically says that he was a Jinn.
6. So there is no truth in this allegatio
that Angels can disobey Allah o
IBLIS was also an angel.

Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the
heavens and the earth? And I know that which ye discloseand which ye hide.
SHAKIR: He said: O Adam! inform them of their names.
Then when he had informed them of their names, He said:
Did I not say to you that I surely know what is ghaib in theheavens and the earth and (that) I know what you manifest
and what you hide?
So according to the Quran ALL angels do as commanded,
but not always
UPDATE: In fairness to Muslims I have offered to show
any problems found with the articles on Islam.
One has written and been discussing with me this error in
particular about angels disobeying Allah. As he rightlypoints out there is another Sura (Surah 18:50) which saysthe same thing but also says Iblis was a Jinn. Surah 2:34
however says ALL the angels bowed EXCEPT Iblis.
Sura 18:50,YUSUFALI: Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to
Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the
Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Willye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than
Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the
exchange for the wrong-doers!PICKTHAL: And (remember) when We said unto the
angels: Fall prostrate before Adam, and they fell prostrate,
all save Iblis. He was of the jinn, so he rebelled against hisLord's command. Will ye choose him and his seed for your
protecting friends instead of Me, when they are an enemy
unto you? Calamitous is the exchange for evil-doers.
SHAKIR: And when We said to the angels: Make obeisanceto Adam; they made obeisance but Iblis (did it not). He was
of the jinn, so he transgressed the commandment of his
Lord. What! would you then take him and his offspring forfriends rather than Me, and they are your enemies? Evil is
(this) change for the unjust.
If the Quran is indeed error free this passage makes no
sense as for all angels to bow except Iblis implies he too is
an angel, if not then the command did not apply to him and
so the Quran is wrong to say all angels except Iblis bowed. The given answer to this, and one I cannot argue is wrong as

I do not speak Arabic, is that the translations are in error and
that the original Arabic language Quran reads in such a waythat there is no confusion.
While I can`t confirm this without reading Arabic I felt I
should add this possible explanation in the interests offairness as I`m not here to mislead but to be honest.
Basically the argument for explaining this difference is thatthe English translations are incorrect and that the Arabic
version is the only one not.

21. Gospel was Given to Moses, 1400 years before Jesus!!
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
7) Allah tells Moses about following Jesus gospel - 1000years too early: The Injil (or gospel) is what Muslims saywas given to Jesus. Jesus was born about 1400 or so years
AFTER Moses.
Sura 7:157 reads "Those who follow the Messenger, theunlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own
(Scriptures), in the Torah AND THE GOSPEL".
Sura 7:157,YUSUFALI: "Those who follow the messenger, the
unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own
(scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commandsthem what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows
them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them
from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their
heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So itis those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and
follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who
will prosper."
PICKTHAL: Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet
who can neither read nor write, whom they will find
described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) withthem. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid
them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them allgood things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will
relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to
wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him, and
help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him:they are the successful.
SHAKIR: Those who follow the Messenger-Prophet, the
Ummi, whom they find written down with them in theTaurat and the Injeel (who) enjoins them good and forbids
them evil, and makes lawful to them the good things and
makes unlawful to them impure things, and removes fromthem their burden and the shackles which were upon
them; so (as for) those who believe in him and honor him
and help him, and follow the light which has been sent
down with him, these it is that are the successful.
The Quran makes it clear Jesus was given the gospel but
1. This allegation is also based on totamisunderstanding and misinformation
2. It is very common in Quran t
change the mode of address or to
change the topic altogether whilspeaking on any matter. The example
are endless and any reader of Quran i
well aware of them. The context anthe words used clarify this sudde
change.
3. The same is applicable here als
7:154, 155 & 156 are Allah
interactions with Moses and Verse 15
is addressed to Jews and Christians oOur Prophets time and those that shal
come after him.
4. It is very childish and amateurish t
claim that Quran says that Gospel wa
given to Moses. I think that happen
when you do not know Arabic anonly read translations and do not eve
read the notes which clarify thsituation.
5. If this is the level of scholarship o
this writer, then it is no surprise thawe see so many self created errors an
contradictions in Quran!!

here Allah tells Moses that the people of that time could
find Muhammed in Jesus` gospel - when it wouldn`t beknowen for well over another THOUSAND years.
The only way a Muslim seems to find out of this one is to
say it refers to the gospel, as we know, but that it is tellingthem it is yet to be revealed - unfortunately it is quite
evident that Allahs speech here is in the present tenseto them, i.e. he is addressing them as if it already exists
"WHOM THEY FIND MENTIONED" not "who they
WILL find mentioned".

22. The incredible changing man:
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
The incredible changing man:
Did you know that Allah created man, according to the
Quran from one thing.
[1] A blood clot (Sura 96:1-2).Sura 96:1-2,
96.1
YUSUFALI: Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lordand Cherisher, Who created-
PICKTHAL: Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth,
SHAKIR: Read in the name of your Lord Who created.96.2
YUSUFALI: Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed
blood:
PICKTHAL: Createth man from a clot.SHAKIR: He created man from a clot.
[2] ....and water (Suras 21:30, 24:45 and 25:54).
Sura 21:30,YUSUFALI: Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens
and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation),
before we clove them asunder? We made from water every
living thing. Will they not then believe?PICKTHAL: Have not those who disbelieve known that the
heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We partedthem, and we made every living thing of water? Will
they not then believe?
SHAKIR: Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens
and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; andWe have made of water everything living, will they not then
believe?
And,
Sura 24:45,
YUSUFALI: And Allah has created every animal fromwater: of them there are some that creep on their bellies;
some that walk on two legs; and some that walk on four.
Allah creates what He wills for verily Allah has power over
all things.PICKTHAL: Allah hath created every animal of water. Of
them is (a kind) that goeth upon its belly and (a kind) that

goeth upon two legs and (a kind) that goeth upon four. Allah

creature: so of them is that which walks upon its belly, and
of them is that which walks upon two feet, and of them is
that which walks upon four; Allah creates what He pleases;surely Allah has power over all things.
And,
Sura 25:54,
YUSUFALI: It is He Who has created man from water: then
has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: forthy Lord has power (over all things).
PICKTHAL: And He it is Who hath created man from
water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood andkindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful.
SHAKIR: And He it is Who has created man from thewater, then He has made for him blood relationship andmarriage relationship, and your Lord is powerful.
[3] ....and clay (Sura 15:26).
Sura 15:26,YUSUFALI: We created man from sounding clay, from
mud moulded into shape;
PICKTHAL: Verily We created man of potter's clay of blackmud altered,
SHAKIR: And certainly We created man of clay that gives
forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape.
[4] ....and dust (Suras 3:59, 30:20 and 35:11).
Sura 3:59,YUSUFALI: The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that
of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be".
And he was.
PICKTHAL: Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as thelikeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto
him: Be! and he is.
SHAKIR: Surely the likeness of Isa is with Allah as thelikeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to
him, Be, and he was.

from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far andwide)!

PICKTHAL: And of His signs is this: He created you of
dust, and behold you human beings, ranging widely!SHAKIR: And one of His signs is that He created you from
dust, then lo! you are mortals (who) scatter.
And,Sura 35:11,

conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge.
Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part
cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this iseasy to Allah.
PICKTHAL: Allah created you from dust, then from a little
fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). Nofemale beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge.
And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aughtlessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that iseasy for Allah.
SHAKIR: And Allah created you of dust, then of the life-
germ, then He made you pairs; and no female bears, nor
does she bring forth, except with His knowledge;and no one whose life is lengthened has his life lengthened,
nor is aught diminished of one's life, but it is all in a book;
surely this is easy to Allah.
[5] ....and nothing (Sura 19:67).
Sura 19:67,YUSUFALI: But does not man call to mind that We created
him before out of nothing?
PICKTHAL: Doth not man remember that We created himbefore, when he was naught?
SHAKIR: Does not man remember that We created him
before, when he was nothing?
Believe it or not there really are these FIVE different
accounts of what man was made from.

24. Angels Do Not Protect But they Do
Contradiction (By Iris 89) Explanation / Comments (By MUQ
9) Angels don`t protect, but they do:
The last of these brief contradictions (its taken me a whileto compile these so dont expect another list just yet looks at
the role of angels in the error free
Quran. Suras 2:107 and 29:22 tell us that "Besides Allahyou have no protector nor helper".
Sura 2:107,
YUSUFALI: Knowest thou not that to Allah belongeth thedominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Him ye
have neither patron nor helper.
PICKTHAL: Knowest thou not that it is Allah unto Whombelongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and
ye have not, beside Allah, any guardian or helper?
SHAKIR: Do you not know that Allah's is the kingdom of
the heavens and the earth, and that besides Allah you haveno guardian or helper?
And,Sura 29:22,

(fleeing) to frustrate (his Plan), nor have ye, besides Allah,
any protector or helper."PICKTHAL: Ye cannot escape (from Him) in the earth or in
the sky, and beside Allah there is for you no friend or helper.SHAKIR: And you shall not escape in the earth nor in the
heaven, and you have neither a protector nor a helper
besides Allah.
But in Sura 41:3 the angels tell us that "We are your
PROTECTORS in this life and the hereafter"
Sura 41:3,
YUSUFALI: A Book, whereof the verses are explained in
detail;- a Qur'an in Arabic, for people who understand;-PICKTHAL: A Scripture whereof the verses are expounded,
a Lecture in Arabic for people who have knowledge,

and in Suras 13:11, 50:17 and 82:10 we are told angels
