Case Studies In the Classroom
By Jody Flynn, BSN, RN
You have spent time helping students learn a new concept. What happens now?
You need to find out if the students understand the new concept you have introduced.
One way to do that is by using case studies.Have the students read an example pertaining to the information you covered.
Connect book learning to real life. The link below gives you a video explanation for this type of learning.

PROS: Discussing real life situations helps the students think critically.
Cons: The students may have a difficult time narrowing down the correct information.
Using this method can help students reach the next level. In my class, this can help them become STNAs.
