NO Leaf Solid Gutter Cover Installation:Tools Required: Tin Snips, Tape Measure, Cordless Drill, Gloves and Safety Glasses

1) First, do a good job cleaning the gutters and downspouts. To assure the downspouts are clear of debris, runwater from a hose into the gutter and check the water flow at the bottom of all downspouts. The watershould flow out without any backup in the gutter.

2) Attach the first bracket 2 inches from the end of the gutter using the zip screws (Fig. 1).

3) Attach the next bracket 12 inches from the end of the gutter and the third bracket 24 inches from the secondbracket (Fig.2)

4) The No Leaf is designed with a bending score to allow for roof pitches up to a 14-12 pitch (Fig. 3). Bend onthe score to adjust for the pitch. The surface area along the two ribs of the cover must maintain the sameangle as the bracket (Fig. 4). Do not bend the nose or the bracket.

5) Slide the back edge of the No Leaf under the first row of shingles. (Fig. 5)

6) Snap the front edge of the No Leaf into the bracket (Fig. 6)

7) Continue the installation by installing the brackets 24 inches apart. Overlap the covers by approximately 1/2inch. At the opposite end of the run or on a corner you will install another bracket 2 inches from the end orcorner.

8) At the end of a gutter run you should cap the end of the No Leaf to help prevent birds and squirrels fromnesting in the gutter.

9) To fit inside or outside corners, miter cut opposite ends of the two adjoining piece. Overlap the two piecesby 1/2 inch and run two screws through the overlapping pieces. Place one hanger on each side of the cor-ner.

Note: To get an accurate cut, you should mark the cut with the No Leaf in place on the gutter and roof. Thiswill give you the proper angle to miter cut each section.

Heavy water flow areas may require a professional No Leaf miter or Water diverter to prevent overflow(example: inside corners and areas where an upper roof downspout flows onto the low roof).

Gutter Shingle Installation:

The Gutter Shingle installation may vary depending on how the gutters are installed.

Tools that may be required: • Tin snips or hacksaw to miter cut corners and cut pieces to length. • Pliers may also be needed to bend the lip of the gutter around the gutter spikes. • Power screw driver (some installations may require fastening to lip of gutter).

1) First, do a good job cleaning the gutters and downspouts. To assure the downspouts are clear of debris, run a hose in the gutters and check the water flow at the bottom of all downspouts. The water should flowout without any backup in the gutter.

2) Starting at one end of the gutter, slightly lift the first row of shingles and slide the back edge of the guttercover under the shingles (Fig. A), then pull the front edge of The Gutter Shingle forward so that it clips tothe front edge of the gutter. (Fig. B)

Note: If there is not enough space between the gutter lip and spike, you will need to bend the lip up a littleor pinch the lip closed to allow the clip to fit over the lip.(Fig. C)

3) If the roof shingles do not cover the back edge of gutter cover by at least one inch, it will be necessary toscrew The Gutter Shingle to the front of the gutter using a sheet metal screw. (Fig. D)

4) Install the next section using the same process as step 2. The notched clip will allow each section to over-lap creating a seamless run of The Gutter Shingle.

5) To fit inside or outside corners, miter cut opposite ends of the two adjoining pieces to form a corner point.

Note: To get an accurate cut, you should mark the cut with The Gutter Shingle in place on the gutter androof. This will give the proper angle to miter cut each section.

ProDeck™ Composite Railing System Installation

Step 6Installing Top Rail• Cut rail per Step 2 instruction for bottom rail.• Install Baluster plugs.• Place trim and brackets on rail before installing the rail

to post cover.• Position Top Rail over installed baluster and plug in

each baluster into the corresponding plug.• After all baluster are seated in the top rails plugs,

pre drill rail bracket and screw bracket to post with screws provided as in (step 5).

Step 7Installing and Post Caps• Finish off installation by positioning Vinyl post cap by

placing glue on inside of caps with PVC glue (not included). Use screw fasteners for Powder Coated Aluminum caps.

Step 4Installing Bottom Rail Note: make sure post trims are installed on post before installing bottom rail.• Place trim and brackets on rail before installing the rail

to post cover. (If your angle is more then 32 degrees you will have to file out the trim to the scribe marks on the inside.) Use a standard wood file.

• Position the rail so the bottom is resting on your stair treads, check with you local building codes.

• Position bottom rail between post and pre-drill 3/16" pilot holes through post cover and NOT the wood post.

• Screw through rail brackets into post cover with the #10 x 2" S.S. flathead screws provided.

Step 5Cutting Baluster• Baluster will need to be

cut to the angle of your stair rail top and bottom.

Note: You will have to cut the rail 1/8"shorter to allow for brackets

Top 10 Time Saving Tips from the Pro’s(These are some helpful hints, however please be sure that you have read all instructions.)

Hint #1 - If installing a stair rail, you will want to align up the posts for this area first as you will need to position the post at the proper spot to yield enough clearance overthe slope of the steps.

Hint #2 - When installing post covers over 4x4's, it is important that the 4x4's be as close to plumb as possible. Warped, bowed, or damaged 4x4's may need to be correct-ed or replaced with a new 4x4 or a structural post. It is a good idea to inspect existing posts in advance of rail installation in case any adjustments need to be made.

Hint #3 - Have a helper screw baluster plugs into top & bottom rails in advance. The rail bracket cover will need to be installed on the rail prior to securing the rail to thepost. On the bottom rail only, leave the outer two baluster plugs off. This may give you a little additional room for screwing the railing mounting brackets. You can easilyinstall them after the bottom rail is secured to the post.

Hint #4 - To determine where to cut a level rail, you can save time by lining up the bottom rail by eye. Position the bottom rail against the outside of the two posts. Place therail so the spacing on the baluster plugs are evenly spaced. Mark each side for cutting.

Hint #5 - Use a tape measure to determine if the top rail will be the same as the bottom rail. If so, lay both rails on the deck, align, & mark where top rails are to be cut. Ifthe top rail spacing differs from the bottom rail, add or subtract half of the total difference from each side and mark.

Hint #6 - The mounting bracket will need at least 1/8" of spacing between the post trim and the mounting rail bracket to allow for mounting bracket cover. Check local build-ing codes for required height of bottom rail. From a scrap piece of wood or rail, cut a piece to appropriate height to keep bottom rail positioned steady while screwingmounting rail to post. With baluster foot positioned in plug below midpoint of rail, slide this block under the appropriate side prior to screwing in rail bracket. This will helpinsure correct spacing as well as minimize the movement while screwing. Drill pilot holes through both the post and the 4x4 prior (if applicable) to fastening screws. Thiswill eliminate any torquing effect that may otherwise occur.

Hint #7 - There needs to be sufficient spacing at ends for the railing bracket cover to fit. The center of the outer plugs (where either the screw or the pilot holes are located)needs to be at minimum of 1 1/2" from the post.

Hint #8 - Make sure the balusters are recessed entirely in the baluster plugs.

Hint #9 - To install top level rail, place the rail on top of the balusters without securing railing brackets. Having two or more people helping position the balusters in the toprail plugs will save time. Work from one direction to the other, with one person gradually positioning each baluster over each plug. Have someone else push down the top railas each additional plug is aligned. Rails need to be completely recessed in both the top & bottom baluster plugs for proper installation. It is helpful to use a rubber mallet toinsure each baluster is entirely recessed in baluster plugs. Again, you should drill pilot holes through both the post and the 4x4 (if applicable) prior to fastening screws.

Hint #10 - Apply a dab of an all purpose adhesive glue to inside of mounting bracket cover where it will contact mounting bracket. This will help insure that cover remainpositioned properly over time.
