Student Government Raises Funds to Help Fight Cancer

Pasteur’s Pennies for Patients

drive collected over $1200.

The money enables the discov-

ery and delivery of therapies

that improve the quality of

life for patients. In fact, of

the 67 new cancer drugs approved by the US

Food and Drug Administration since 2000, al-

most half were approved as significant treat-

ments for patients with blood cancers—and

many are now being

tested for use in

other cancers and

diseases. Thanks to

everyone who sup-

ported this im-

portant work.

Magazine Sale Winners Celebrate!

More than fifty students celebrated their

fabulous contribution to our magazine fund-

raiser. The funds raised will be used exclu-

sively for activities like, Fun Fridays, danc-

es, talent shows and other events that ben-

efit all students on campus. Thanks for

your support!

Your Input Needed for District's LCAP Each year, we review the district’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) which tells

the story of our goals, actions and services; resources which will help us achieve those

goals; and indicators of progress along the way. Click here for a brochure that provides

more information about our current LCAP. As we approach our first revision of the plan

we need YOUR INPUT.

Visit www.sanjuan.edu/lcap to provide feedback. Once on the website you can choose your language

and share your thoughts.

Reflect on major barriers you see to the success of low income students, English learners, fos-

ter youth, and other high risk students.

Think about ideas that you have to overcome those barriers based on your own thinking, things

you have read, talking to others, etc.

What do you see as the most important things which can be done in San Juan to improve edu-

cational outcomes for students?

Kyle L. and Hunter H. enjoy lunch

at In and Out Burger with 16 other

students.

Melissa H. enjoys playing video

games with other winners in

the game truck.

Twenty five students face off to

see which of the top three stu-

dents win prizes in Ro Sham Bo.
