YOU ARE ABOUT TO LAUNCH INTO THE WORLD OF INFUSION DRINKS – THE HEALTHY AND FUN WAY TO BRING MORE LIFE TO YOUR WATER.

There are a lot of ways to enjoy fresh, simple recipes that you can continually modify to keep things new and exciting. You just need your favorite ingredients and good ol’ H2O.

THE DRIVING FORCE OF ALL NATURE: WATER

Use water that is fresh and clean from a trusted source. Past recalls from a major bottled water supplier is an example of what happens when an unregulated industry fails to do the proper safety checks.

Make sure to test the best strength of flavors for your taste so you don’t make your drink too strong. You don’t want to make lime infused water so intense it would taste like sucking on a whole lime. Watering down your water is a sad commentary, so be careful!

SALUBRE INFUSION PITCHERTips and Guidelines

Five-star hotels and up-scale spas everywhere use recipes like these to really invigorate their water

and enhance the guest experience.

USING FRUITS OR VEGGIES

• Clean before slicing/cutting. You don’t want any gremlins in your drink that may have hitched a ride home from the market.

• When slicing, consider what will make it attractive to the eye. It is pretty seductive to have an attractive pitcher holding beautiful fruit on your table while dining. Lemons and oranges are great in slices – cucumbers too. Make them thin to maximize the amount of surface the water can touch. Other fruits and vegetables or spices, like ginger, may need to be grated to get maximum flavor.

• Melons require a slightly different approach – you need to remove the rind first, then cube it or slice it in long strips for maximum impact.

• Berries present another special case. You won’t get much flavor if you leave them whole. Slice in half to coax out their yummy juices yet still leave them looking attractive in the infuser core.

TAKE A LITTLE TIME FOR TEA

Teas are wonderful steeped within the Salubre. Of course, you cannot use loose tea in the infuser as it will flow through the flavor holes into your glass or cup. The holes were constructed to be large enough to ensure maximum flavor is infused into your water. Smaller holes would inhibit that flavor exchange.

Use tea bags or put loose tea into a tea ball and insert into the infuser core.

Once you have created your masterpiece, slip it into the fridge for a bit (about 1 hour) to cool and get the flavor(s) infused into the water.

Keep your drink refrigerated. It is subject to the laws of nature if it sits out for any length of time. Best to keep it cool at all times.

REUSING YOUR INGREDIENTS

Naturally, it is ideal to reuse your ingredients at least once, but note that your drink will lose its potency each time after. Get the most of your purchase while not sacrificing a lot of flavor.

Reuse ingredients only if you have consumed your first pitcher within 24 hours – you don’t want stagnant, non-flavorful, non-vitamin-rich components in your drink.

TURN UP THE HEAT

Not in the oven or on a hot stove top, but you can pour hot liquids into it for a perfect way to steep your drink.

Your pitcher is not microwave safe. It won’t fit anyway, but better safe to warn those more adventurous from experimenting with the idea. CONTAINER CARE

Using a glass container, like the Salubre Infusion Pitcher, is the best way to preserve the true flavor of your drink. It won’t pick up other flavors and washes out clean. Made of crystal clear borosilicate glass, it allows you to see your beverage and will serve you for years.

Wash your Salubre Infusion Pitcher thoroughly between uses. All components are dishwasher safe.

WE RECOMMEND GREEN TEA, WHICH HAS BEEN SHOWN TO ENHANCE METABOLISM AMONG OTHER AMAZING HEALTH BENEFITS.

However, it is fun to experiment with white tea, which has other health benefits, or black tea, which is the most common. All are according to your tastes and all are delicious when used in combination with the flavors below.

REMOVE the teabags, leaving the rest of the ingredients in the infuser core. Experiment with the amount of mint and number of teabags to your taste.

INFUSIONS with a Kick

BONUS RECIPE: ADULT BEVERAGES TAKE A LITTLE MORE TIME TO PROPERLY INFUSE BUT IT’S WORTH THE WAIT.

For these, you will have to seal the Salubre using plastic wrap to ensure your beverage does not evaporate during the process. Don’t worry – although this takes a few days to finish, it is more than worth it!

Mango or Peach Vodka TeaserThis first recipe is easy and can be done with either peaches or mangoes, because it takes the same amount of time and the preparation and steps are identical.

1 bottle of mid-priced vodka Additional flavor (optional)1 medium size mango or peach

Cube or slice your fruit in 1 inch cubes or 1 inch wide by two inches long strips to maximize the flavor. If you want to add an additional flavor twist, try peppermint or a little cayenne pepper. Place into the infuser core (as much as will fit). Pour your vodka into the Salubre pitcher and seal with plastic wrap so that it is airtight. Refrigerate and check your mixture every couple of days. Don’t let it sit too long, or your vodka may get bitter.

Please see the approximate schedule for how long it is recommended to have your mixture infuse to get the full flavor:• Soft fruit like peaches and mangoes, 3-5 days.• Fibrous fruits and vegetables will need to sit for 7-10 days.

This potent mix can be enjoyed straight up or on the rocks. Experimentation is key – variables such as the brand of vodka and the freshness of your ingredients affect flavors, so check your mixture to get it your perfect flavor level, then remove the infusion rod and reseal until you’re ready for a new concoction.
