Collect all IngredientsRecipe Ingredients

Skin Heal Salve1oz. yarrow flowers (Achillea millefolium)1 oz. comfrey leaf (Symphytum officinales)1 oz. calendula flowers (Calendula officinales)1 oz. golden seal root (Hydrastis canadensis)20 oz. organic cold pressed olive oil1 – 2 oz. beeswax50 – 60 drops essential oil of lavenderApproximately 100 drops vitamin E oil

This recipe yields approx. 15 oz. oil after straining, and 22 oz. of salve.

Powder the HerbsPour into a glass jar, one quart or larger

Powdered Herbs Ready for Oil

Add Olive Oiland stir

Place food grade plastic over top, secure lid, label

Place jar in brown bag and in a warm sunny windowShake gently once or twice a day

Next, You Will Need

Beeswax

Lavender Essential Oil and Vitamin E Oil

Cheese Grater

Double Boiler

Cheesecloth or cotton tea towel

Salve Jars

Leave some herb in jar on first pour. Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze. Pour remaining oil and herb. A spatula and/or your fingers will do nicely.

Grate beeswax and weigh, adding one portion at a time, testing for solidity in between additions.

more beeswax for salve
