• Use inappropriate or offensive language

• Ms. De John will circle the DETENTION on my EXIT OUT THEDOOR.

• I will receive a detention, phone call home and possible referral and sent out.

• My detention will be served AFTER SCHOOL. No DISCUSSION.

• I will be sent immediately to my House Administrator.

• A REFERRAL and PHONE CALL home will follow.

Enter the Classroom:

• Calmly, quietly, walking, hands to myself• Sit in my assigned seat BEFORE the bell rings• Complete my Full Name on my Exit out the Door• Begin the bell work when the bell rings. NO TALKING

• If I am LATE and DO NOT have a valid pass I will serve a 5 minute detention after school that day. NO DISCUSSION.

• Raise my hand if I want to speak.

• Wait to be called on.

• Listen to my classmates.

BATHROOM• To be used in EMERGENCY situations

only. Use the bathroom before class.

• I will NOT be allowed to leave the classroom the first OR last 10 minutes of class.

• I will NOT be allowed to leave the classroom during instruction.

• I will only be allowed to use the bathroom 2x’s during a marking period.

• I will always use my “inside voice” when I am allowed to talk to my neighbor.

• I will NOT talk to another student across the room.

• When Ms. De John rings the bell I need to stop what I am doing and “freeze”.

• LOOK at Ms. De John.• She will be waiting for

all eyes on her.• LISTEN to the

instructions the FIRST time they are given.

WHEN I AM ABSENT

• It is my responsibility to make-up the work.

• I must make-up the work and give it to Ms. De John the next class.

• On the top of my work I will write the word ABSENT.

STAY IN MY SEAT

• I must stay in my seat unless I have permission to do otherwise.

• I will raise my hand and wait until Ms. De John gives me permission to leave my seat.

GARBAGE CAN

• I will throw away my papers at the END of class on my way out the door.

• I will remember the Stay in my Seat Policy.
