BACB Certification Requirements

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)➢ Masters or Doctorate➢ Association for Behavior Analysts International Verified
Course Sequence Coursework➢ 1500 hours Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork
• Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)➢ Bachelor’s degree from qualifying institution➢ Association for Behavior Analysts International Verified
Course Sequence Coursework➢ 1000 hours Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork
• Achieve an “A” or “B” in each course
• Pass exam within 1 year of graduating
• Enroll with Medicaid as an ABA provider for 3 or more years
• Maintain a caseload of at least 50% Medicaid beneficiaries during this time
• If unable to comply with above, reimburse Medicaid for enrolled courses

SCDHHS program manager will contact applicant to schedule and complete phone interview
Receive notice of award via email
Sign and return contract with Medicaid
