CO-SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOL

Our students took part in various competitions held outside the school and brought laurels to the school.

In „Coimbatore Sahodaya Creative Writing competition in French‟, Shreevarshini Mandradiar(VIII E) & Sankhalp N S(IX)

won the 3rd place.

In „Erode Sahodaya Art competition‟, Vitaliyah B(II) won the 2nd place.

In „Erode Sahodaya “Best Out of Waste” - Craft Competition‟, Vitaliyah B(II) & Riya P K(II) won the I place, Ritvik S D & Rahul Charan N of Level V, Aparna A D & Sneha Lakshmi S of Level IX also won the I place.

In „Erode Sahodaya Drama competition‟, our students bagged the 2nd place in levels VI to VIII category.

In Chess, Aakarshna C G of Level XI won Gold in Erode & Coimbatore Sahodaya Chess Tournament in U-19 Girls Category.

Amirdavarshini (X) won Silver in U-16 Girls & Gokul Anand(X) won Bronze in U-16 Boys in Erode Sahodaya Chess

Tournament. Avaneeth A(XI) won bronze in Coimbatore Sahodaya Chess Tournament in U-19 Boys Category.

In Skating, Adarsh(III) won 2 Gold in Erode Sahodaya Skating Tournament, 1 Gold & 1 Silver in Coimbatore Sahodaya Skating

Tournament and Bronze in South Zone Skating Tournament. Mithilesh (VIII) won 2 Gold in Erode Sahodaya Skating

Tournament and 2 Gold in Coimbatore Sahodaya Skating Tournament

V S Guru Guhan was the winner in District Championship by Coimbatore Badminton Association (U17 - Boys Singles) &

Cambridge Inter School Badminton Tournament U 17 Mixed Doubles.

Sudhan P won the Gold medal in Maharashtra Open National Archery Championship. He also won Silver ( Kambu Sandai) &

Bronze (Vaal Veechu) in the South Asian Silambam competition held at Kanyakumari.

In Football, we were the winners in U-16 & U-14 in the Coimbatore Sahodaya Football tournament and won the overall

Chamionship. U-16 & U-14 boys were again the winners in the Erode Sahodaya Football tournament

In Archery, Harini P(VII) won 3 Silver & 1 Bronze in the South Asian Silambam competition held at Kanyakumari. She also

won 2 Gold and 1 Silver along with the Title “ Valvil Ori” and a cash prize of Rs. 10000 at Open Nation Archery Competition

by Tamil Nadu Government. Srisanjay S (IV) won Silver medal and Ridhuvarshini S (VII) won 1 Gold and 1 Silver at Open

Nation Archery Competition by Tamil Nadu Government.

In Swimming, we bagged 16 Bronze and 4 Silver in the 41st Coimbatore Sahodaya Swimming competition. We bagged 4 Gold,

20 Silver and 9 Bronze in Erode Sahodaya Swimming Competition

In Athletics, Pahalavan V (VI) won the Gold medal in High Jump and Nithin Karthikeyan (IV) won the II place in 100 mts

organised by Coimbatore Sahodaya Junior Athletic Meet (High Jump) Under 12. We also bagged the II place in 4 x 100 mts

relay during the same meet. Rithanya Sree S K (IX) won the Gold medal in Discus Throw, Kanishkavarthan(IX) won Bronze

medal in High Jump, Kirubashini (IX) won Bronze medal in U - 16 Girls 200m and U - 16 Girls Long Jump. Samyuktha(XI) won

the gold medal in U - 19 Girls Long Jump in the 41st Coimbatore Sahodaya Athletic Meet.

In Tennis, Nathin Ram S R(VIII) was the winner of Erode Sahodaya Tennis tournament Under 16 Boys Singles & Doubles.

Rishi Raghavender S was also the winner of Erode Sahodaya Tennis tournament Under 16 Boys Doubles. Shivi Vikram &

Rithanyaa S were the winners of Erode Sahodaya Tennis tournament Under 12 Girls Doubles.

ACTIVITIES IN SCHOOL

A new club named INTACH (Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage)

was introduced to encourage students to preserve their culture and heritage. Another

new club “TED-Ed” club also started this year to develop the critical thinking and

communication skills of students.

CS Academy presented “Be an Entrepreneur Contest” on the theme “Beat the Plastic”

for all the students from Level VI-XI. This contest was conducted to give the students an

experience to run a business and bring out organizational efficiency in them. The

students earned revenues of over 5 lakh rupees.

Our students, have been attending the various Model United Nations Conferences, for

the sixth year in succession. They have taken part in various MUN Conferences this year

namely Harvard Model United Nations conference, Hyderabad, Chennai MUN, MUN

for India by World View in Erode and Coimbatore.

In this academic year, we introduced „Open door‟ assessment for grade 7 & 8 and “Clash

of PI” - an online mathematical contest, for 6 to 10. It is to understand the concept well

and achieve mathematical excellence.

This year, we launched „The International Award for young people‟ popularly known

worldwide as „The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award’.
