• To encourage the education and development of skilled musicians or persons having musical talent, either vocal or instrumental, and to promote the welfare of musical artists and the development and education of artists in related fields;

Lifelong Education ProgramsRoad Scholar Osher at Johns Hopkins
Road Scholar, a national travel program, partners with the BSO to provide behind-
the-scenes experiences of the BSO. Activities include classes by BSO Musicians
and Staff, tours of Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, OrchKids program visit,
private BSYO Chamber Concerts, exclusive access to rehearsals, and attendance of
BSO concerts.
Soloist WeekApril 9 to 13, 2014
Osher, a national lifelong learning program, partners with the BSO to
offer a series of workshops. Workshop topics include BSO Staff insights and
musicians’ perspective on select repertoire. Series culminates in a
BSO concert.
