As we grow older the metabolism process of the body slows down normally and this

the diet. it should be included during breakfast as they provide the necessary energy
as well. it is essential to have fruits raw than to go for fruit juices as the former is a
source of fibre for the body as well. Raw potatoes are suggested by doctors as a
must in elderly person’s diet as they are full of enzymes and hyaluronic acid (HA).
HA stops the breakdown of the elastin and collagen in the skin which also slows
down the ageing process of the body.
Dairy products form a part of the balanced diet for elderly people. these include
yoghurt, cheese, milk but these should be in moderate amount that is three servings
each day.
It is often found that with age people tend to go vegetarian which is according to
doctors is a wrong move. Have sufficient amount of meat and fish in the diet as they
are rich in omega fatty acids. For a balanced diet keep one to two serving of meat
like beef, chicken, lamb and fish or egg every day. They are also rich in protein.
According to the report of the American Council On Exercise it has been proved that
the thirst for water gradually declines with age. Hence make sure that the balanced
