After being named Oklahoma’s largest crossover music festival by PromotionsNow, Backwoods Music Festival doesn’t plan to slow down. 2016 expects crowds of 30,000-36,000 over the course of three days.

The Labor Day Weekend festival has earned the reputation of showcasingsome of the best bands and DJs in the world. 2015 featured artists such

as ODESZA, Porter Robinson, and Infected Mushroom.

The Tatanka Ranch, the home of Backwoods, is a 1,000 acre beautiful ranchthat allows Backwoods to be a truly one-of-a-kind event. The festival

has grown immensely since its conception in 2008 and has evolved intoa true music and art event destination, providing a welcoming atmosphere

for people of every walk of life. Backwoods attendees really becomepart of the Backwoods Family when they arrive, and treat each other as such.

Aside from the great music, festival goers can take part of workshops, experiencemagical lighting throughout the venue and campgrounds, large art installations,

theatrical wandering performers, and a vast selection of food and shopping.

The event’s producers, along with our volunteers and community, createa utopia of great music and activities for festival attendees. This year

we will be celebrating our ninth year. In keeping with tradition, the festivalwill continue to evolve and will be better than the year before. We are adding new art installations, new stage designs, and new performers to

interact with the crowds.

THE TATANKA RANCHBackwoods Music Festival takes place on the Tatanka Ranch. Every year on Labor Day Weekend

the 1,000 acre ranch is transformed into a land of endless possibilities. Six unique stages are designed and built throughout the music venue, in the fields, along the lake and even up in the trees.

We also have helicopter rides, a Ferris Wheel, water activities, and a fire tower people can climb.
