BACK COVER PROGRESS: 1) The beginning of the back cover progress consisted of insterting the image and rescaling it to the preffered position. I choose to positiion the key image (the artist) towards the left of the image inorder for the right side to have more bark space to insert the texts. A part of the artists face is not apart of the image, this was a concious decision as the key image ephasise on her eyes and the key prop (the rose) more. These features of then key image represent the album. Also this progress consisted of insterting production information, for the typography I choose to use Calbri using size 8, also the text is white as a result its more bold and readable, moreover the record labels logo and barcode is inserted. Furthermore, the typography used for the songs is from a website called Dafont, the visibility of the texts is reduced as I wanted to create an effect of the songs being scratched on the bark. However, this was not possible due to the complexity of this effect. In addition, the main image (the artist) an editing technique is colour exposure in order to make aspects of the image more vibrant such as the artists make up is more apparent and aspects of the rose colours are more dominant. Also burn effect was used on the artist eye brows and hair to enhance the colour and feature.

BACK COVER PROGRESS:

1) The beginning of the back cover progress consisted of insterting the image and rescaling it to the preffered position.

2) In the second progress of the back cover, the production information positioning was changed in order for the text not to overlap on the stem of the rose, this change allowed for the white text to become more visible. Also the typography of the songs changed to Blippo light, this is the same as the masthead on the front cover, therefore this maintains consistency within the product. In addition, an editing effect such as blur is used on the background of the image (the tree bark), this effect prevents the discolouration and different textures of the bark in impacting the text, and therefore the texts appear the same. In addition, an editing effect such as spot healing brush was used to remove any imperfections and loose hair around the artist forehead. This makes the image appear more appealing and professional.

Final-

3) In the third progress for the back cover, I changed the logo text colour from black to white, this change allows for ‘Liberty Records’ to be more apparent and visible but also is it consistent with the colour of the other texts on the back cove. Furthermore, the song texts size changed, for example previously the song texts was all caps lock where as now they are lower case apart from the first letter. This shows variety in font as all the texts on the back cover are caps lock apart from the main text, the songs. Also the shape of this text follows the artist hair shape, this brings these two elements of the cover together. In addition, the individual song titles go down in an order that tells a story.

ALTERNATIVE:

4) The fourth and fifth progress I changed the shape of the song titles texts to being a straight line.

5) the sixth progress, the shape of the song titles text goes down in order of size variation.
