What Is Field Education?(SWRK 195 A/B)

1. A course: 6 units each semester (12 total)

2. A year-long unpaid internship in a human services agency

3. A chance to learn social work skills in a real life setting, under the supervision of a professional social worker

5. A chance to integrate classroom learning with real life experience

6. An opportunity to develop a professional social work identity

3. Missing deadlines, lack of follow-through with the placement process

4. Unprofessional behavior

times for field

Application, but the referral decision will

be made by the Field Faculty.
