(greens, reds and oranges)• Fruits and veggies as snacks• Eat frequent but small meals• DON’T: crash diet, eliminate a certain food

Eating Disorders
• Eating healthy makes us feel good; know your eating habits before they become into eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, obesity)
He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah . But whoever is
forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and
Merciful.

PERFECT DAYS FOR PERFECT WORSHIP
• First 10 Days of Dhul Hijjah• The Prophet SAW said: "There are no days in
which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah?" He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Bukhaari)
•
What Should I Do?
• Perform Hajj• Make Dua and have a sincere intention to try
and go to Hajj next year• Those of us who were not invited to the House
of Allah this year, there are still many, many good deeds that one can do and earn the Pleasure of Allaah .
To Do: Fasting
• Fast all nine days and especially fast the Day of 'Arafah
• The Prophet SAW used to fast on the ninth day of Dhu’l-Hijjah and he said: "Fasting the Day of 'Arafah (ninth Dhul-hijjah) is an expiation for (all the sins of) the previous year and an expiation for (all the sins of) the coming year." (Muslim)
To Do: Dhikr
• The Prophet said: “There are no days on which good deeds are greater or more beloved to Allaah than on these ten days, so recite much Tahleel (saying Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah), Takbeer (saying Allaahu akbar) and Tahmeed (saying al-hamdu Lillaah)." (Ahmad -Saheeh)
• Revive the Sunnah of Saying Takbeerat
To Do: Getting up for Tahhajjud
• In the last third of every night, Allah Almighty calls out to us, His servants: Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to his invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him? (Bukhaari, Muslim)
To Do: Seek Repentance
• One of the best and most important things to do during these ten days is to repent sincerely to Allaah and to give up all kinds of disobedience and sin right away because we do not know when we will die, and also because one evil deed leads to another.
To Do: Recite Qu’ran
• It is time now to dust off your copy of the Qur'aan
• Make it a daily habit, using these 10 days the beginning of a strong and beautiful relationship with it.
• Read it with meaning, understand it, and then implement it and change your lives for the better.
To Do: Get the Reward of Hajj
• Achieve a similar reward of Hajj in whatever place you may be:
• The Prophet SAW said: "Whoever prays Fajr Prayer in congregation, and then sits and remembers Allah until the sun rises, then (after a while) prays two rak’as, he will gain a reward equal to that of making perfect Hajj and Umrah." [He repeated the word "perfect" thrice.] (At-Tirmidhi) Isn't that easy, Alhamdulillah
To Do: Slaughter an Animal
• Ibn Umar said: The Prophet lived in Madeenah for 10 years and every year he slaughtered an animal." (Ahmad-Saheeh by al-Albaani)
• Distribute the meat as well amongst family and friends
To Do: Attend Eid Prayers
• Attend the Eid prayer • Remember that Eid prayer is a form of
worship, therefore, we must observe proper hijaab, and be cautious of pre-Eid parties, mixing of men & women, music etc.
To Do: Being Grateful • One of the greatest forms of worshipping
Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala is to thank Him, deeply, sincerely and continuously.
• Thank Him for ALL that He gave you, the Islaam that He gave you, the very life He gave you. And thank Him for the chance that He gives you in these ten days, to ask for forgiveness and guidance.
To Do: General Good Deeds• We should strive in doing more good deeds in
general, because good deeds are beloved by Allaah and will bring us closer to Him.
• Praying extra prayers, reading Qur'aan, remembering Allaah, sending Salaams on the Prophet , making dua, giving charity, honoring our parents, upholding ties of kinship, enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil, and other good deeds and acts of worship.
Indeed, they who conceal what Allah has sent down of the Book and
exchange it for a small price - those consume not into their bellies
except the Fire. And Allah will not speak to them on the Day of
Resurrection, nor will He purify them. And they will have a painful
punishment.
Ayah 174
Why Do We Hide Truth?
Reasons
Against Desires
Stinginess Greed
Do we ever hide truth?
How? Any examples?
Those are the ones who have exchanged guidance for error
and forgiveness for punishment. How patient they are in pursuit
of the Fire!

How patient…
• Asbara – on the structure of maa afala = verb of wonder; amazement; what has made them so patient about entering into the hell fire?
• REFLECT: Sometimes we also sin on purpose, or choose the wrong decision and we are so patient with befriending shaytaan and displeasing Allah.
That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in
truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book
are in extreme dissension.
Ayah 176
Dissension (Khaw Laam Faa)
What’s Our Attitude?
• Do we accept the truth when I see it and recognize it?
• How do I feel about other groups of Muslims who have different interpretations of the Qu’ran
• How do I deal with conflict, dissension, opposition in my family, friends and social circles?
