1. AWANA Club begins at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. ALL kids should be checked in by 6:45 p.m. in their assigned classrooms. (The first page gives room numbers, the last page shows a campus map.) 2. AWANA Club concludes at 8:15 p.m. 3. Clubbers will not be allowed to leave the church campus for any reason during club time. 4. All clubbers must have an AWANA registration form on file. 5. Bring Bible, handbook, dues, and wear uniform each week. 6. Clubbers are encouraged to bring visitors to AWANA. 7. Please wear tennis shoes and appropriate clothing for game time. Sparks may need jeans to protect their knees for some games. 8. Please leave toys, food, gum and candy at home. 9. Please encourage clubbers to use the restroom prior to club. 10. Clubbers are expected to work in their handbooks each week. Sections are to be said in their entirety, including the reference. (3-year-olds working on their first book are the only exception.) When reciting sections, no more than two helps will be allowed. 11. All clubbers must be picked up by a parent or guardian at 8:15 p.m. For safety reasons, children will not be released otherwise.

T & T for Grades 3 - 6

HANDBOOK AWARDS: Awards, to be displayed on the uniform, are presented for each segment of the handbook completed. For upper clubs, now referred to as T & T (Truth & Training) which are grades 3-6, Discovery sections of the handbook must be completed in sequence. For Sparks, the Rank Test and Red Jewel sections must be done in order. Green Jewels can be done in any order. We encourage you to help your child learn sections by practicing with them each day. Once your child knows a section in the handbooks, you need to initial it. AWANA leaders and staff are the only ones allowed to sign-off the sections for official credit. A “section” is the material between leader signatures. This includes the verses, their references and any answers to questions asked. Please read through your child’s handbook so you can pace your child’s progress. We will not limit the number of sections clubbers recite. We encourage you to guide your child to learn as many sections as they can (usually 2-4) and still emphasize what it means. Sparks, helps are given during your first review. The second time through you should be able to recite it on your own.

ATTENDANCE AWARDS • These are given for attending AWANA at Pomona First Baptist.

• Awards are given at the end of each quarter.

• There is only one unexcused absence per quarter.

• Excused absences are due to illness or a family emergency.

• To excuse an absence, parents need to send a note to their child’s leader.

SUNDAY SCHOOL / CHURCH ATTENDANCE • This is awarded twice a year, at our mid-year & closing ceremonies.

• For an award, Sunday School or church attendance is required at least 3 times per month.
