Program Description: This program helps to prepare the student for employment in the automotive mechanics field. Students learn to diagnose malfunctions, repair, adjust or replace parts of the automobile, restoring it to the conditions and specification recommended by the manufacturer. These services range from basic automotive maintenance to the latest computer controlled units. prior to program completion. The basic skill levels for this program are: Math:

grade 10, Language: grade 9, Reading: grade 9. Diploma/GED is not required

for enrollment. Students must be at least 16 years of age. Uniform: Work

pants without chains or buttons (no cutoffs), shop tops, oil and slip resistant

work shoes (closed toed), clear safety glasses.

Completion Requirements: A student must pass all required courses in the program and satisfy all attendance and financial obligations before he or she is eligible to receive a certificate of completion for the program. Costs: (The $30 student registration fee does not apply to this program, unless basic skill classes are needed).
