Position Overview
The Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) is an independent statutory office established by the Fair Work Act 2009. Our role is to promote harmonious, productive and cooperative workplace relations and ensure compliance with Australian workplace laws. We are valued by the community for supporting compliant, productive and inclusive Australian workplaces and we deliver practical workplace relations advice and assistance.
The Campaigns team is part of the Proactive Compliance & Education Branch. The team is responsible for delivering education and compliance campaigns, aimed at improving compliance with Australian workplace laws. Campaigns are conducted at a national and regional level, and focus on areas, industries or issues where evidence supports the need for a proactive compliance activity. The team may also focus on vulnerable groups of employees to ensure they are receiving their correct entitlements.
The Campaign Development Support Officer will be responsible for providing administrative support within the Campaigns Development Team and may provide support to other areas of the wider branch.
The successful applicant will have well developed administration and organisational skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, good interpersonal skills to work harmoniously in a team / geographically dispersed environment, have experience with Microsoft Office and an ability to quickly learn new electronic processes and procedures.
The Campaign Development Support Officer will be engaged as an APS Level 2 and be responsible for:Conducting internet searches on a range of sites to develop and confirm campaign entity lists.
Helping with arrangements for formal meetings, events and work groups.
Undertaking preliminary work for research under close supervision.

Critical examination and data entry of employee records in pre-established spreadsheets.
Drafting basic routine correspondence under close supervision.
Collating and presenting information using a range of computer systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and DocBank.
Providing administrative, clerical, operational or systems support to the Campaigns operational teams.

Remuneration
$56,443 plus superannuation pro rata
