Another piece of world-wide-famous piece of British culture.... well! Scottish indeed!

Written by Robert Burns (O My love is like a red red rose...) the most important Scots poet who was always walking in the country...

It celebrates the joy of having met people just before it is parting time... but instead of getting sad, you sing that song … and of course, you cry afterwards....

Here is a version with traditional music and then, another version with the typical New Year´s tune: they sing and kiss at midnight instead of eating twelve grains of grape...

Letra traducida La traducción que sigue está directamente vertida desde el original escocés. El estribillo se repite entre estrofa y estrofa, y la letra se ha adaptado para conservar en castellano un sentido lo más cercano posible al original:
