Job duties include: The Student Ambassador role entails: Giving detailed and energetic tours to prospective families and engaging with Xavier applicants and

accepted students via phone, email, US postal service, and social media. This job requires previous experience using Microsoft Office and students are

encouraged to exercise proficient public speaking skills. Training for this position is ongoing and students are scheduled to work 10 hours each week. Work

schedules take place between the hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday and include one night-shift each week. Students Ambassadors will also be asked

to work weekends in which Visit Days for prospective families are scheduled. Being a representative to Xavier University is an exciting and rewarding

Auxiliary Services 846 - Auxiliary Services Student Associate 1 28

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 10-15 - Student must be available to work until 6:30 pm during the week.

Assist with producing and maintaining functionality with student, faculty and staff ID cards, assist with sales and distribution of parking permits as well as general

office duties including, but not limited to, data entry, filing, reporting, and inventories. Students will need to support customer service initiatives for auxiliary

operations areas including, but not limited to, ALL Card, Door Access, Meal Plans and Parking Services. Occasional duties will require students to contact local

businesses regarding ALL Card discount program, contact other Colleges and Universities to conduct benchmarking and make deliveries to campus departments.

Job requires knowledge of PC computing systems, ability to troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues, excellent phone etiquette and customer services skills.

Center for Innovation 000 – Innovation Analyst Intern 1 59

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 10-20, 8am-5pm some weekend hours required The Innovation Analyst Intern will be part of a dynamic team focused on the delivery of our innovation agenda for Xavier University and Xavier Center for Innovation. In this fast-paced environment, the Analyst will work primarily with the Chief Innovation Officer and the Xavier CFI team. The Analyst will also be exposed to both internal and external departments and business units. The team is responsible for supporting everything from the founding of new partnerships, all the way through incubating a new product that is live in the market. We work on new projects every few weeks. We have fun, we work hard and we get things done.

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 10-20, 8am-5pm some weekend hours required The 3D Printing & Technology Coordinator Intern will assist in running the Makerbot 3D Innovation Center and managing technology needs for the Center for Innovation. The intern will assist others with the creation of 3D Printed objects across the entire 3D printing process including design, file preparation, job assignment, and harvesting. The intern will also assist the CFI’s partners, guests, and attendees in technology needs including but not limited to A/V setup, wireless access, and desktop needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in 3D printing and technology.

Center for Interfaith 909 - Media/Marketing Specialist 1 12 Community Engagement

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 10-15, In addition to working during office hours, the student worker may work after hours or occasionally on weekends for programs. Design, develop, implement and test web and mobile applications and integrating data management into social networking (65%); integrating data management into social networking (10%). Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and of methods reproduction and binding (15%) Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by other writers or employees (10%)

Must be available to work 10hours per week. A desire to learn new technologies and skills; Experience using Macintosh and/or Windows operating systems; Must be comfortable using computers, software and email. Background in digital media creation (video, visual design, image manipulation) highly desired. Data management – video & audio dubbing, encoding, editing, transfers and media authoring. Other duties include large & small format printing, graphic design, digital still photography. Support and enhance the use of digital and traditional media in the Center for Interfaith Community Engagement.

The successful candidate will have strong skills in graphic design and will demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop. The candidate should possess strong attention to detail and embody the values of the Center for Interfaith Community Engagement, where we promote celebration over tolerance.

Qualifications: Students who have an interest in photography, web design and social media marketing are desired. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management in Excel preferred.

Center for Interfaith 591 – Programming Assistant 1 12 Community Engagement

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 10-15, May be needed after hours or occasionally on weekends for programs. Job duties include: Supervising office support workers and being responsible for coordinating and implementing events sponsored by the Interfaith Community Engagement Office. The role will include creative ideation, material production, promotion, student engagement and program set up and follow-through. He/she may also be responsible for collaborating with other student groups or clubs in coordinating and implementing programs co-sponsored by the Interfaith Community Engagement Office. The Student Engagement Intern will also be expected to handle some office work as appropriate to the team functioning in the office. Position reports directly to the Director of the Interfaith Community Engagement Office. Qualifications: previous experience designing and implementing social, experiential and educational programs. Work hours: 8 hrs per week in addition to attendance at frequent programs sponsored by the office.

The successful candidate will enjoy working with and welcoming new people to programs and events with a friendly face and high energy. The candidate will

work with the Program and Administrative Associate to prepare for and manage details for programs.

Qualifications: Strong writing skills, photography skills and experience with social media and Microsoft excel.

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: MTWHFSSun, 10-15, Event based schedule. Hours will vary in quantity and time from week to week depending on the

Banquet and Arena bookings.

The crew of Student Technicians provides audiovisual support for all Cintas Center events in the Arena, Banquet rooms, and Conference center. This includes

lectures, conferences, graduations, and Athletic Events: Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, and Baseball.

Ongoing Job duties include: Learn to operate audio/video/lighting systems in the Cintas Center. Be able to complete routine set-ups in the

Conference/Banquet/Arena facilities with some assistance. Be willing and eager to advance knowledge in at least one of the areas of audio, video production,

lighting, client relations, or student coordination. Job positions include audio, camera, video switcher, lighting, scoreboard, spotlight operator. Some prior

technical or theater experience is beneficial but not required.

Clifton Cultural Arts Center* 624 - Program Associate 2 42

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: MTWTFSSun, 10-15, Weeknights and Some Weekends

• Successful CCAC Program Associates are detail-oriented, organized, intrepid, enthusiastic, and upbeat. They are reliable, professional in their communications,

and thrive in collaborative environments.

• The Program Associate will staff classes at CCAC, letting people in, directing them to classes, and ensuring that people feel welcome. The Program Associate

will be responsible for the building and office during class times, will serve as the face for CCAC, and will uphold CCAC's reputation by keeping postings, literature

and bulletin boards current. S/he will also share information, answer questions, and answer the phone while here.

• The Program Associate will also help with a range of administrative tasks, including assisting with mailings, maintenance of our online database, tabulating and

analyzing survey responses, and a range of other duties as assigned.

• The Program Associate will assist CCAC with a range of special projects, including installing and staffing exhibits, assisting with events (including our

Wednesdays on the Green and Second Sunday Family Showtime series), and assisting with minor renovation and volunteer projects.

Criminal Justice 982 - Clerk 1 22

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 5-6 - Days/hours are flexible, dependent of student class schedule. This position is filled and coordinated

with the social work department position.

Job duties include general clerical duties such as telephone answering, filing, light typing, preparation and copy class handouts. Must be able to type 30 wpm.

Education Matters* 592 – General Tutor 2 47

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday Purpose and Responsibilities: The General Tutor position is ideal for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience within a community-based nonprofit working one-on-one with adults reengaging in education. The position involves working together with the Education Matters team to tutor and support students in one of three programs: Education Forward (GED/Adult Literacy), College Bridge and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Education Forward: Tutors will assist students in preparing for the four sections of the GED test: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Science and Social Studies.

College Bridge: Tutors will assist students enrolled in a variety of college courses. Subject areas will primarily focus on language arts and mathematics, though other areas, such as psychology, sociology, history, science, may be needed.

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): Tutor will assist in both a classroom and a one-on-one setting in the ESOL program. Tutors primary responsibility will be to engage in conversational English with students, as well as assist in improving reading and writing skills.

Job duties may also include general classroom and/or office house duties: Assist instructors in classroom setting; grade student work; help prepare materials for instruction; general office duties such as copying, filing, organizing materials, etc.

Job Duties: The Student Administrative Assistant will assist the Parent Resource Center’s professional staff members by greeting parents/guardians and

volunteers as they enter the Center, directing parents/guardians to appropriate staff for help, answering parents and volunteers questions, aiding

parents/guardians in completing assessment instruments used in personal counseling settings, maintaining volunteer records and databases used in Center

operations, typing correspondence, processing job notices and posting on Parent Information Bulletin Board, generating reports for Center staff, assist staff in

planning families events, mailing event information and correspondences to the Center’s parents/guardians and community partners, and providing

administrative support for Center special program events.

Under the direction of the Manager of Video & Digital Media Service, the Digital Media Assistant will help patrons with multimedia projects for academic and

administrative use. They provide assistance to faculty, students, staff and alumni who are working on projects in the digital media lab.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Assisting faculty with digital recording requests, classes and interviews

• Assist students with multimedia projects such as video and audio production, graphic and web design and editing.

• Dubbing and coping from both analog and digital sources.

• Audio/video post-production, graphic/web editing--including encoding, compressing and rendering.

• Provide routine office duties (e.g. answering phone, email and calendar events, checking in and out equipment, and on-campus errands).

Qualifications Required:

• Previous experience working with video recording/still camera; editing of

video/audio and photo /graphics manipulation.

• Advanced skills with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

• Must be skilled in working with Windows, Mac, and iOS operating

systems.

• Strong ability to learn/troubleshoot new software and multimedia

technology with little direction.

• Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills including attention

to detail, conscientiousness and dependability.

• Superior customer service, communication (verbal, written, electronic)

and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Qualifications Preferred:

• Proficient with video/audio recording and production, graphic and web

design, DSLR photography and varied non-linear editing systems.

• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements, Final

Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop

Winton Place Youth Center is seeking intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated individuals to serve as tutors during our after-school program. WPYC serves

approximately 35 students, ages 5-15, who are enrolled in grades k through 8. Tutors may be engaged in a range of activities including, homework assistance,

one-to-one tutoring, large group and small group educational activities, as well as preparing program materials. Tutors also assist with assessing student

progress.

Tutors typically work 8-20 hours per week between the hours of 1:30 and 6:15 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact in a child's life! We

also offer an appealing work environment. Many of our Work Study students return for several semesters. We hope you'll join us at WPYC! The ideal candidate

is energetic, patient and values education!

Xavier Police 757 - Parking Ambassador 4 10

Days/Hours Per Week Needed: Monday-Friday, 8, The student spreads their 8 hours over the entire week. Usually 4, 2 hour shifts.

Job duties include providing directions, permits, and assistance to all campus visitors, assist with daily management of all campus parking areas, issuance of

parking citations, assist with operational tasks in auxiliary services related to parking initiatives, and other general office duties as assigned. Job requires the

ability to work in all-weather environments, possess a clean criminal history, ability to drive university golf carts as defined by set university parameters, strong

verbal & written communications skills, strong customer service skills, the ability to use and adapt to new technology, experience with web based software

systems, and overall enthusiasm around making Xavier University a welcoming environment. Students must be available to work varying hours operational hours

with occasional Saturday.
