1996 PORSCHE 911 GT2 EVO

Porsche responded to the reorganization of GT racing with a series of homologation specials beginning with the naturally aspirated 911 RS and culminating in the GT2 Evo. The lightweight RS set the basic template, using a non-turbo air-cooled flat-6 punched out to 3.8L and rated at 300 HP, bolt-on Turbo-style wheel-arch flares, larger brake discs clamped by 4-piston calipers and adjustable front and rear anti-roll bars. More obviously equipped for the track, the RSR incorporated

a full roll cage, a front strut brace, an adjustable tail spoiler, 6-point harnesses and a fire extinguisher.

1971 PLYMOUTH CUDA

This 1971 Plymouth Cuda is an unrestored, match-ing-numbers, 46,000-original-mile car. It left the factory as it is today in the highly desirable color combination of TX9 black. Furthermore, it is a factory “triple black” car with a painted top and possesses the majority of its factory-original paint and 100 percent of its original sheet metal. The original 340/275 HP small-block V-8 has never been removed from the car and has been thoroughly sorted by Mopar specialist Roger Gibson.

1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD

In 1957, “F-Bird” was the word for Thunderbird per-formance. The term referenced the T-Bird’s available F-code engine, a 312-cubic-inch V-8 with a Holley 4-bar-rel carburetor and Paxton-McCulloch VR57 supercharg-er for 300 horsepower as Ford’s answer to the Corvette. The F-code engine transformed the T-Bird from a luxury cruiser to an all-out performer that could easily hold its own against Chevrolet’s Corvette. With the supercharg-er, enhanced cylinder heads, and revised camshaft, the F-Code Thunderbird was capable of 0-60 times in fewer than 6 seconds and a top speed approaching 130 MPH.

Raven Black with Torch Red interior, this F-Bird was built on July 22, 1957, and sold

new in San Jose, where it spent most of its life in the low-humidity climate. Current mileage is believed to be correct at just more than 50,000. Reportedly one of 17 F7FH Thunder-birds with the racing 3-speed transmission, the high-performance F-Bird car comes with the original factory invoice. This 1957 F-bird would make a great addition to any muscle-car collection and is considered a crown jewel for Thunderbird collectors.

This unique time capsule is documented with two full broadcast sheets and boasts its original fender tag with all equipment matching the way the car left the factory. It is fully matching-numbers and retains most of its original paint, all original sheet metal and glass, seat covers, carpet, seat belts, dash and door panels as well as the mint-condi-tion original headliner. The factory spot welds on the lower quarters and rocker panels are untouched with original factory paint and 46,000 original miles of stone chips. This 1971 Cuda can be driven with confidence and the best recommendation on the car’s mechanical prowess came from Roger Gibson, who stated, “If you are looking for an unrestored car that runs and drives just like 1971, this 340 Cuda is the car for you.”

Essentially a street legal race car, the GT2 sported a front spoiler with upturned side winglets, wider bolt-on wheel flares and a huge rear spoiler with integrated air scoops. Using 2-wheel drive instead of the production Turbo’s all-wheel system shaved even more weight, resulting in a top speed of almost 190 MPH. This GT2 Evo is exactly as it left the factory, an artifact from one of the most exciting periods in Porsche’s racing history.
