Siemens Solution - Key Elements

Atos provides a surplus capacity held on stock to flexibly meet scale-up and scale-down demands in a cloud-like service

Use of DMO migration • Conducted on a per SID basis, requires a “classic SAP system” and a “SAP HANA DB system” • Consists of an online phase (preparation) and an offline phase (migration). The exact duration

for the offline phase cannot be evaluated upfront (CPU, network, firewalls, IO, DB size, DB objects)

• To minimize the downtime of a production system multiple optimization runs are performed either on a QA or a sandbox system. Result: Estimation with a detailed timetable for the “Go Live” migration of the production system.

An EhP Upgrade / Unicode conversion / HANA migration requires application changes/corrections. These are not covered in DMO migration but need to be included in the overall migration plan.
