Make your summer count! Join the Center for Global Youth Leadership and Social Entrepreneurial Studies™ at Brandon Hall, Atlanta’s only boarding and day school that draws students from around the world. Our global summer program is anchored in our signature “leadership in action™” curriculum and philosophy. The campus is a beautiful 27-acre nature preserve overlooking the Chattahoochee River.

Our location makes us easily accessible from most areas of Atlanta, and also convenient to the Southeast’s leading sports, recreational, and cultural centers. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the world’s busiest airport, makes the school convenient for both domestic and international boarding students. The Peachtree-DeKalb Airport’s proximity is also ideal for parents who have personal aircraft.

Brandon Hall Leadership PactLeadership requires commitment and focus. Our programs thrive and are most successful when each participant is fully invested in all academic, experiential, and social activities. As a participant in the summer programs, each student is required to sign the “Brandon Hall Leadership Pact,” which states his or her full commitment to do the following:• Collaborate and cooperate through words and actions, both inside and outside of the classroom.• Use English exclusively. It is our primary language of communication, instruction, and research. • Appreciate and support one another’s leadership journey by challenging each other to give

their best, think in new ways, and take the next step to push beyond one’s comfort zone.• Work through conflicts respectfully and give constructive feedback.• Exhibit a growth mindset and learn from mistakes and setbacks.• Model commitment to the program and exude a “can do” positive attitude that welcomes

everyone and builds relationships.

A healthy, sustainable planet needs extraordinary stewards and active leaders. Join us for an incredible adventure this summer! Earth Studies integrates a love for the outdoors with environmental-based learning in a one of a kind program. Spend the first week on our pristine campus situated on a 27 acre nature preserve* practicing the skills necessary to do meaningful nature-based field work where exploration of the earth itself becomes our textbook and our classroom. Topics covered will include topographic maps, geologic history and systems of Georgia, ecology, astronomy, fresh water assessment and remediation, and botany. Throughout the program we will apply our knowledge using project-based field work in the natural world. Students will experience kayaking, caving, zip-lining, hiking, orienteering, and more.

Students can choose to reside in the Brandon Hall dorms, where they will forge friendships, learn life skills, and gain self-confidence. Students will enjoy three meals a day, seven days a week. The Corley Dining Hall gives students the option of eating indoors, outside in the courtyard, or on the outdoor bistro. Students also have the option of being a day student during these programs.

* Brandon Hall is a certified Wildlife Habitat, as designated by the National Wildlife Federation. The campus provides the four basic habitat elements needed for wildlife to thrive: food, water, cover, and places to raise young. Overlook, the oldest structure on our campus, set the Brandon Hall standard of being innovative. It was built on the Chattahoochee River to provide the water source for the original Brandon Hall home, which we now call the Great Hall. It’s progressive mechanics provided hot and cold running water to the home, the first of it’s kind in the Atlanta area in the 1920’s. It now serves as an outdoor learning space, event space, and a bridge to the history of Brandon Hall and it’s connection with nature and the river.
