Robertson, Nate Archibald, Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

JC’S FEBRUARY FEAST:

Per Elias, John Collins became the first player in NBA history to average 25.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg, making 60% FGs, 50% 3FGs and 80% FTs for a month (minimum two

games played). In February, he averaged 25.6 ppg and 10.4 rpg, shooting .636 FGs, .535 3FGs and .800 FTs in 13 games. He was the only player in the NBA to make at

least five field goals in each game while shooting .500-or-better FG% for the month.

On 11/23 vs. Toronto, Trae Young compiled 30 points, 10 assists and 10

rebounds in 41 minutes. The second-year guard became just the third player in

Hawks history with a 30-point triple-double, the second Hawk to accomplish

the feat since the club moved to Atlanta in 1968-69 and the first since Herm

Gilliam in 1974. On 1/8, Young posted 42 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists

– the first 40-point triple-double in Hawks history. He became the youngest

player in NBA history to record those minimums in a single game, surpassing

Oscar Robertson whose previous record was 21 years, 357 days old.

HAWKS NAB THREE DRAFTEES:

For the second consecutive year, Atlanta entered the season with three rookies selected within the first 34 picks of the NBA Draft. The Hawks chose Cam Reddish from

Duke University with the 10th overall pick on June 20; On July 7, Atlanta acquired the draft rights to the University of Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter, the fourth overall

pick, and the draft rights to Bruno Fernando, selected 34th overall out of the University of Maryland. Hunter was originally selected by the Los Angeles Lakers, then

traded to New Orleans on July 6. A day later, Atlanta acquired Hunter, along with Solomon Hill, a conditional 2023 second-round pick and the draft rights to Jordan

Bone, from the Pelicans in exchange for the draft rights to Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Marcos Louzada Silva and a conditional 2020 first-round pick.

The Hawks acquired Fernando’s rights from Philadelphia in exchange for the draft rights to Bone and two second-round draft picks.

HIGH-SCORING ST. JOE’S BROS:

DeAndre’ Bembry and Charlie Brown Jr. are no strangers to putting up big numbers in a Hawks uniform, having both played at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia,

PA. The two swingmen are the only players in SJU history to lead the A-10 in scoring; Bembry posted 17.7 ppg in 2014-15 while Brown scored a conference-best 19.0

ppg in 2018-19. Bembry enjoyed a prolific career on Hawk Hill from 2013-16, winning A-10 Co-Rookie of the Year honors in 2013, being named to the A-10 All-

Conference First Team twice (2015 and 2016) and being named the A-10 Player of the Year in 2016. Brown started 30 of 31 games for the Hawks as a freshman and

won the A-10 scoring as a redshirt sophomore last season.

THE CITY OF SOUTHERNLY LOVE

Atlanta entered the 2019-20 season with multiple ties to the Philadelphia area: Head Coach Lloyd Pierce was a member of the Sixers’ coaching staff for five seasons

prior to arriving in Atlanta; Hawks guards DeAndre’ Bembry and Charlie Brown Jr. played their college ball at St. Joseph’s University; Rookie forward De’Andre

Hunter is a Philly native; and first-year swingman Cam Reddish is a product of nearby Norristown, PA.

ON THE AIR

FOX Sports Southeast will televise 80 Hawks regular season games in 2019-20. Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins returns for his 11th year as the game analyst with

play-by-play man Bob Rathbun, in his 24th season, and Andre Aldridge, who returns for his ninth season as sideline reporter. On the radio side, Steve Holman returns

for his 35th year calling every game on 92-9 The Game, with Mike Conti handling pre-and-postgame duties.

SCHEDULE NOTES:

All of Atlanta’s Monday-through-Saturday home games will feature 7:30 p.m. tip times, with the exception of the Halloween contest vs. Miami (7 p.m.) and Monday,

Jan. 20 vs. Toronto (2:30 p.m.). Sunday game times will vary. Atlanta faces each Eastern Conference team four times, except for New York and Indiana (two home/one

road), as well as Boston and Chicago (one home/two road), and every Western Conference opponent twice. The Hawks play 16-of-41 home games on weekends (six

Friday, seven Saturday, three Sunday). After playing six-of-the-first-eight games on the schedule at home, Atlanta makes its longest road trip of the season, heading

west to visit Portland, Denver, Phoenix, the LA Clippers and LA Lakers from Nov. 10-17. The Hawks have a stretch of seven-of-nine contests in Atlanta between Feb.

26 and March 14. The Hawks play 14 sets of back-to-backs, including two home/home, four home/road, three road/home and five road/road. The busiest month of the

home schedule is January (nine games), while the Hawks will play a season-high nine contests away from home in November.

BIOS

HEAD COACH LLOYD PIERCE

Lloyd Pierce is in his second season as the Hawks’ Head Coach, after being named the 13 th full-time Head Coach in team history on May 11, 2018. In his first season,

he led Atlanta to a five-win improvement over 2017-18, and he and his staff were instrumental in the development of All-Rookie team members Kevin Huerter and

Trae Young, with Young earning unanimous First Team honors.

Following the All-Star break, Atlanta was second in the NBA in points per game (119.9), three-pointers (366) and three-pointers per game (15.3), fifth in rebounds per

game (48.8), seventh in steals per game (7.96), rebounds (1,172) and assists (639), and 10th in steals (191). For the season, the Hawks led the NBA in pace (104.56) and

set a franchise record, knocking down 1,067 three-pointers.

This past May, Pierce was named to the 2019-20 USA Basketball Men’s National Team coaching staff, joining Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr and Villanova Head

Coach Jay Wright on Gregg Popovich’s staff.

Pierce, 43, came to the Hawks following five years as an Assistant Coach with the Philadelphia 76ers, who finished the 2016-17 season third in the Eastern Conference

with a 52-30 mark and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Under Pierce’s guidance that year, the Sixers’ defense led the NBA in field goal percentage defense (.434), ranked second in three-point percentage allowed (.342) and

was third in defensive rating (102.0). Two Philadelphia players, Robert Covington (First Team) and Joel Embiid (Second Team), earned NBA All-Defensive selections.

Pierce joined the Sixers after two seasons with Memphis, where he was Assistant Coach-Player Development, helping lead the Grizzlies to back-to-back playoff

appearances and the Western Conference Finals in 2013.

He spent the 2010-11 season as an Assistant Coach with the Golden State Warriors after three years as Assistant Coach-Player Development with Cleveland (2007-10),

where the Cavaliers made three playoff appearances and a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2009.

Prior to his NBA coaching career, Pierce was an Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Santa Clara University, from 2002-07. The San Jose, CA native played four seasons

for the Broncos, where he teamed with two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash and current Assistant Coach, Marlon Garnett. Pierce graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in

Business Management in 1998.

He and his wife, Melissa, have a daughter, Maya Joy, born in August 2018.
