Demonstrate knowledge about one topic from the power point by drawing a picture and writing an informative paragraph with at least three facts.

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most famous buildings in the world. It’s located on the shore of Sydney Harbor.

The Ayers Rock is a large red mountain of rocks located in Uluru National Park in the outback. The rock was sacred to natives that lived in Australia 30,000 years ago.

The Great Barrier Reed is located off the east coast of Australia. It is home to thousands of marine creatures.

Kangaroos only live in Australia. They carry their babies in pouches. The babies are called joeys.

The Kangaroo Paw is a wild flower that only grows in rainy seasons. They are colorful and look like the back paw of a kangaroo.

The emu is a bird that cannot fly. The emu can grow to be as tall as an adult human, and they run really fast!

Boxing Day is on December 26 and is only celebrated in Great Britain, Canada and Australia. Boxes were given to service people and opened the day after Christmas.

ANZAC Day is celebrated on April 25 in Australia and New Zealand. It honors ANZAC troops that served in World War I. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
