thetemperaturedifferencebetweenenteringandleavingwater.Incoolingmode,thetempera-turedifferenceshouldbeapproximately1.5timesgreaterthantheheatingmodetemperaturedifference.Forexample,ifthecoolingtemperaturedifferenceis15°F[8.3°C],theheatingtemperaturedifferenceshouldbeapproximately7°Fto10°F[3.9°Cto5.6°C].Alternatively,ifaflowmeasuringvalveorpressuregaugeconnectionsareincluded,taketheflowreadingorpres-suredropcomparedtothesubmittalinformationandadjusttheshut-off/balancingvalveinthereturnlinetothecorrectflow/pressuredropreading.
b. Measurethetemperaturedifferencebetweenenteringandleavingairandenteringandleavingwater.Withenteringwaterof60°Fto80°F[15.6°Cto26.7°C],leavingtemperatureshouldrisethroughtheunit.Shouldnotexceed35°F[19.4°C].Iftheairtemperatureexceeds35°F[19.4°C],thenthewaterflowrateisinadequateortheairflowratemaybelowandasecondcheckmayberequiredafterairflowbalancing.
