During conduct of the module Administration, you have learnt about planning and executing various

administrative functions pertaining to maintenance of facilities, contract management, security management,

event management and last but not the least crisis management.

For practical application of the above skills, you are required to carry out the following tasks in your

office/campus (as applicable):-

1. Examine the state of internal and external security, identify voids and recommend remedial measures

of the following:

a. Access control measures.

b. Procedures being followed at entry and exit points

c. Surveillance techniques within the office/campus premises for internal security

2. Analyse the current IT Security Systems, identify the short comings and recommend remedial

measures to make it foolproof :-

a. Security Policy and Standing Operating Procedures.

b. Measures to guard against any security breach.

c. Security breaches occurred during the last one month and remedial actions taken.

3. Review the contract management being followed for regular maintenance in the office/campus.

Examine the implementation of maintenance in the areas placed under the contract, and highlight

shortcomings and suggest remedial measures.

4. Prepare Standing Operating Procedure for dealing with a crisis situation due to :

a. Earthquake

b. Terrorist Attackc. Fire accident

Assignment Instructions:

The above assignment will be conducted in the office by the students who are on traineeship and in

the campus by the students who are not on traineeship.

The assignment work will be done in the form of detailed report, covering all the above aspects.
