Locations Where will you film presenter? Where will you film public interviews? Where will you film expert interviews? I will the presenter in Hyde Park perhaps walking along the lake, directly talking to the camera. I will film public interviews where it has a lot of people so we're able to get a public interview I will film expert interviews in the sixth form from teachers who know a lot about my topic on HIV & Aids such as science, psychologists or sociologists teacher. 5. Social actors Public interviews researchType of people to interview Why this/these particular people? Pictures of those type of people Older people from the age bracket of 30- 40 years of age. They probably would have an idea on the change in attitude towards people with HIV & Aids. 17-18 years of age Interviewing people from all types of age brackets are essential to get a sense of whether people my age know about HIV & Aids, and aware about the stigma towards it and whether it exists in todays society. 50-65 years of age People who would have had an experience of the fear/stigma towards HIV & Aids especially if they had kids. 9. Social actors Public interview locationsType of people to interview Where will you find these type of people? How do you know? Why? Older people from the age bracket of 30- 40 years of age. Roundwood park People in this age group are more likely to be at the park with their kids on a weekend. 17-18 years of age Hyde park It is a common park for most teenagers to visit. 50-65 years of age Innis free Innis free is an old folks home where the elders live. 10. Social actors Public interview technique Be friendly Dont stick a camera in their face Explain to them what your documentary is about show them the questions youre going to ask them Prepare them well before filming their response If theyre not sure about getting filmed, 11. Pictures of those types of experts Nurses/Doctors/Scientists They would have had patients with HIV & Aids and probably had to support them. Psychologists They would know how most people with the disease would feel, perhaps they might have had one of their patients with the disease. 12. Potential locations to film this expert Nurses/Doctors/Scientists Hospital Science lab in the lower school In a science lab or their office. Psychologists In my school Psychology teachers In their office or somewhere comfortable. 13. Social actors Expert interview technique Dont stick camera in their face Be friendly Make sure they know what your documentary is about Also make sure they know what theyre going to say Film in a suitable place such as an office. 14. Social actors Health & Safety Interviewing risks Interview precautions Not wanting to be on camera Getting lost/interviewing alone Make sure you are with people when youre out interviewing public interviews. Filming people under 16 Make sure you ask for their age before you film. Filming in an area youre not allowed Dont film in train stations. Filming late Make sure youre not out late filming because the clips will come out all grainy and its not safe. Carrying loads of expensive equipment Make sure your equipment is always in sight at all times.
