ASMP Event Management Tutorial

Future versions of EMM will enhance the process. 

 

You will be prompted for your user name and password: Enter your ASMP.org credentials to login. 

 

Add an Event (step 1 of 3) 

a.  “Contact E‐Mail*” enter the address you would like promotion email proofs and registration URL 

sent. The registration URL you may want to use in your own promotions – websites, emails, social 

media and posters. 

b. EMMv2 will allow you to upload graphics or select existing graphics from your Chapter Library.  

For EMMv1 directions will be provided on page 5. 

c. EMMv2 will allow setup of multiple sessions, multiple locations, and/or multiple days.

c. As you setup pricing levels, a grid on the right will be populated.

Add Promotional E‐Mail  

a. If you prefer to send your own promotional e‐mails, scroll to the bottom of the page and press “FINISH”. 

b. If you would like the system to send promotional e‐mails: 

i. “Message” will be auto populated from your enters in step 1. Edit if desired. 

ii. In EMMv2, the “Body” field will allow formatting functions. 

iii. EMMv2 will allow you to upload graphics or select existing graphics from your Chapter Library.

iv. “Send to:” select your target audience. 

1. Chapter level 

2. Active ASMP Member by state.  

3. Expired ASMP Members by state 

4. ASMP Prospects by states. 

5. NOTE: National Events Only may select “world” lists.

v. Select “Blast Dates”. If you desired additional blast dates, please contact ASMP@VPconnections.  

vi. The “Blast Dates” selection depends on how far out your event is. If it six weeks or more,  

you’ll have the option of ASAP, 6 weeks out, 4 weeks out, 2 weeks out, 1 week out and 2 days out. 

 

 

 

After you click “FINISH”: 

a. A confirmation email is sent you and ASMP Member Services. 

b. ASMP Member Services will: 

i. Review the event registration page you set up and send you the URL. 

ii. Review the event calendar at ASMP.org. 

iii. Review the email(s) you set up and send you a proof. 

c. UPLOAD GRAPHICS & SPONSOR LOGOS: Improve your message with graphics. Submit the graphic as a 

JPEG and size according to intended use…full width 600 pixels and sidebar/sponsors 200 pixels. Please 

note photo credits and captions during the upload process. A future enhancement to the Event 

Management Module will include a Digital Library 

d. MULTI SESSIONS/VENUES: If your event has multiple sessions/venues, complete the following PDF and 

submit. A future enhancement will accommodate multiple sessions/venues. 

e. EVENT REPORTING: The following reports are available:  Event Attendees, Event Check In List for 

Volunteers, Event Income. Contact your Chapter President for login credentials.
