INVITATIONOn behalf of the As ian Associat ion of Endocr ine Surgeons, the Austra l ian & New Zealand Endocr ine Surgeons, the Endocr ine Society of Austra l ia , and the Organis ing Committee, I am pleased to inv i te you to support the 17 th Biennial Congress of the As ian Associat ion of Endocr ine Surgeons - AsAES 2020, tak ing place f rom 05-07 March, 2020, at the Crown Conference Centre, Melbourne.

AsAES 2020: Controvers ies in Endocrine Surgery , wi l l focus on key areas of Endocr ine Surgery including: benign and mal ignant thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, and management of adrenal pathology. These topics are of interest to Endocr ine, General , and Head and Neck surgeons, as wel l as Endocr inologists , Nuclear Physic ians, Radiologists , and Pathologists .

Addit ional ly, we are pleased to partner with the Endocr ine Society of Austra l ia - ESA, for a combined mult id isc ipl inary program on Day 2, which wi l l focus on areas of combined interest to both Endocr ine Surgeons and Endocr inologists .

TERMS ANDCONDITIONSACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATION

The appl icat ion of the sponsor/exhibi tor to exhibi t is an offer which is accepted by the organiser - General Surgeons Austra l ia , of the amount payable on making this appl icat ion.

BOOKING CONDITIONS

Acceptance of sponsorship/exhibi t ion appl icat ions wi l l be subject to Organis ing Committee approval . The Organis ing Committee reserves the r ight to decl ine appl icat ions based on any associat ion, d i rect or indirect , that does not uphold the object ives of the meet ing.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancel lat ions must be made in wr i t ing to the Event Organiser. In the case of cancel lat ion of sponsorship and/or exhibi t ion booth(s ) space, please note that the Organis ing Committee reserves the r ight to reta in monies paid in ful l unless sponsorship and or exhibi t ion booth(s ) space is resold. I f payment of the ful l amount indicated on the appl icat ion form is not received by the due date, your preferred sponsorship package and/or exhibi t ion booth(s ) space cannot be held for you. The Organis ing Committee reserves the r ight to cancel the exhibi t ion in c i rcumstances beyond their control .

INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVE REGISTRATION

The sponsor and/or exhibi tor understands that a l l industry representat ives must be off ic ia l ly registered. Any industry representat ives at tending the Congress , outs ide of the a l located registrat ions included as per each sponsorship package and/or exhibi t ion booth(s ) space package, must pay an addit ional $660 per representat ive.

GENERAL TERMS

The exhibi tor agrees to be bound by the sponsorship and exhibi t ion general terms and condit ions as set out in the AsAES 2020 Sponsorship Prospectus document, which is acknowledged as received.

EXHIBITION SPACE ALLOCATION

The exhibi tor understands that exhibi t ion space wi l l be a l located in order of receipt of payment and that the Organis ing Committee’s decis ion wi l l be f inal .

L IABILITY & INSURANCE

The exhibi tor and the servants , agents , and contractors of the exhibi tor occupy and use the exhibi t ion booth(s )/space al located under th is exhibi t ion contract and enter Crown Conference Centre ( the ‘venue”) and act under, or pursuant to, th is exhibi t ion contract at their own r isk . The exhibi tor hereby indemnif ies and releases the organiser - General Surgeons Austra l ia ( ‘venue manager ’ ) and each of them against a l l act ions, sui ts , costs , c la ims, and demands brought against the organiser, and the venue manager by any person, f i rm, or corporat ion for any damage or loss caused direct ly, or indirect ly to, or suffered by any person, f i rm, or corporat ion as a result of any act or default of the exhibi tor or the servants , agents , contractors , or inv i tees of the exhibi tor or result ing di rect ly or indirect ly f rom the attendance of the exhibi tor at the exhibi t ion, including t ravel to and f rom such venues and without l imit ing the foregoing of the organiser and the venue manager or any of them shal l not in any c i rcumstances be l iable for any loss , damage, or in jury which may occur to the exhibi tor or the servants , agents , or contractors of the exhibi tor or for any damage to their property including damage to exhibi ts , p lant equipment, f ix tures, f i t t ings, or other property whatsoever or for any loss of prof i ts which they may suffer howsoever caused. I t i s s t rongly advised that each exhibi tor seek to cover their equipment, exhibi ts , and display mater ia l with adequate insurance and also ef fect publ ic r isk insurance at the expense of the exhibi tor.

TERMS ANDCONDITIONSIMPLIED WARRANTIES

In the event that any statute impl ies any term, condit ion, or warranty into th is agreement which cannot be lawful ly excluded, such as terms wi l l apply to th is agreement, save that the l iabi l i ty of the organiser and each of them for breach of any such impl ied term wi l l be l imited, at the opt ion of the organiser, to any one or more of the fol lowing:

1 . The placement of goods to which the breach relates or the supply of equivalent goods2. The repair of such goods 3. The payment of the costs of replacing the goods or of acquir ing equivalent goods, or the

payment of the cost of having the goods repaired

CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE

The organiser wi l l not be l iable for any indirect or consequent ia l damages ar is ing f rom a breach of the Exhibi tor contract .

SECURITY

The venue’s secur i ty operat ions provide fundamental per imeter secur i ty within the venue, but beyond this , the Organiser and the venue manager and their of f ices and employees, separately or col lect ively, are not responsible for any damage to or for, the loss or destruct ion of an exhibi t , f rom f i re or theft or accidents or in jury result ing f rom such causes. Addit ional secur i ty requirements should be discussed between the exhibi tor and the venue manager d i rect ly.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS

The exhibi tor and the servants , agents , contractors , and inv i tees of the exhibi tor are a lso to observe the condit ions, rules , regulat ions, and procedures as set by the venue manager. Further deta i ls can be obtained by contact ing the venue manager d i rect ly.

VARIATIONS

The organiser may, in the event of any c i rcumstances which render i t necessary, vary the exhibi t ion space al locat ion and the exhibi tor wi l l accept such re-al locat ion without any cla im for reduct ion in charges or otherwise.

UNAVOIDABLE OCCURRENCES

In the event that the exhibi t ion is cancel led or delayed through no fault of the organiser, the venue manager or the exhibi tor, including but not l imited to f i re , f lood, labour disputes, natural d isasters , acts of god, c iv i l d isorder, r iots , insurrect ions, work stoppages, s low downs, or d isputes, or other s imi lar events then the exhibi tor shal l not be ent i t led to any refund or c la im for any loss of damage.

ASSIGNMENT AND SUBLETTING

No exhibi tor shal l ass ign, sublet , or share the whole or any part of the a l located space or booth without the acknowledgement and consent of the organiser.

HOURS

The organiser shal l determine the hours dur ing which the exhibi t ion shal l be conducted and as to hours of access For exhibi tors including var iat ions of such t imes as shal l be necessary.
