Military OptionsArmyground force and largest branch of the military. Main job is to control and fight on land using land troops, tanks, and artillery.
Air Forcefights using aircraft including fighter planes and bombers. responsible for military satellites in space.
Navyfights in the oceans and the seas. uses battleships including destroyers, aircraft carriers, and submarines.
Marine Corpsmain landing force for the military. work closely with the Navy in attacking and establishing "beachheads" during war. The Marines are often some of the first soldiers to enter combat.
Coast Guardmonitors the U.S. Coastline and enforces border laws as well as helps with ocean rescues. The Coast Guard can become part of the Navy during times of war.
National Guard
responds to domestic emergencies, overseas combat missions, counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions and more. Guard Soldiers hold civilian jobs or attend college while maintaining their military training part time. Primary area of operation is their home state.
