As the headquarters of ihi Bupa are moving from Denmark to the UK on 2nd December 2009, at that time the named insurer on your insurance policy, which is currently the Danish branch of Bupa Insurance Limited (called Bupa Denmark, filial af Bupa Insurance Limited, England) will revert to its UK parent company, Bupa Insurance Limited.
Your insurer will not be changing as both Bupa Insurance Limited and the Danish branch are parts of the same company.

The following provides an overview of each module – please see the List of Reimbursements for full details.
Module description:
Module 1: Hospitalisation & Inpatient Treatment
The Hospitalisation & Inpatient Treatment module
is mandatory. It provides 100% cover for e.g.
surgery, chemotherapy and organ transplant.
This mo d ule also provides full cover for any
emergency treatment and cover for expenses in
connection with childbirth. Expenses are covered
up to the overall annual insurance sum of the
policy: USD 1,800,000, EUR 1,500,000 or
GBP 1,000,000.
Module 2: Outpatient TreatmentOutpatient Treatment covers treatment such as
general practitioners and specialist consultations
100% up to the specified maximum amounts.
This module also covers prenatal and postnatal
treatment. The overall annual maximum for
this module is USD 35,000, EUR 29,000 or
GBP 20,000.
Module 3: Medicine & AppliancesMedicine and appliances such as slings, bandages
and hearing aids are covered 100% up to the
specified maximum amounts. The overall annual
maximum for this module is USD 1,000, EUR 800
or GBP 550.
Module 4: Medical Evacuation*Medical Evacuation covers transportation to an
appropriate place of treatment if the employee has
a serious illness or injury. For instance, we will cover
expenses for transportation by aeroplane or helicopter.
The cover also includes expenses for an accompanying
person. Expenses are covered up to the overall annual
insurance sum of the policy. Medical Evacuation must
be pre-approved by ihi Bupa.
Module 5: Rehabilitation & NursingRehabilitation & Nursing provides cover for
rehabilitation, home nursing or hospice, if medically
prescribed by a doctor. Rehabilitation and nursing
must be pre-approved by ihi Bupa. The overall annual
maximum for this module is USD 5,000, EUR 4,100 or
GBP 2,850.
Module 6: Dental & Optical*The Dental & Optical module provides cover for
expenses in connection with dental treatment, glasses
and contact lenses up to the maximum limits. The
overall annual maximum for this module is USD 1,200,
EUR 1,000 or GBP 700.
* Please note that no deductible, premium loadings or discounts apply to module 4 and module 6.

24-hour serviceihi Bupa clients have access to medical assistance
through our own 24-hour emergency service –
Medical Centre – and our medical consultants for
emergency and non-emergency situations. This
includes the following services in-house:
z Second opinion from ihi Bupa’s medical
consultants.
z Help and advice on medical provider options.
z Booking and arrangement of stays at hospitals/
clinics.
ihi Bupa’s own team of highly qualified medical
consultants all have experience working abroad and
in high-risk areas.
Personal service teamAt ihi Bupa a dedicated corporate service team handles
all types of inquiries in connection with your policy. The
service team takes care of everything from processing
applications to handling claims. Each member of
the service team has either lived or worked abroad
themselves. This results in a better understanding
of your employees’ situation and creates a closer
relationship between your company and ihi Bupa.
Your employees will experience fast and efficient claims
handling. Our service goals for processing applications
and claims are set to only two weeks. We reimburse
bills in all major currencies.

Application and renewal
Application processihi Bupa has a simple application process for our
corporate business clients. Once we have received
the information regarding your employees and the
type of cover you require for them, we will issue the
policies within two weeks. We accept applicants of
all ages.
Medical underwritingAt ihi Bupa, we know that our clients often have
different needs and requirements concerning
medical underwriting. Therefore, we offer different
underwriting models depending on group size.
Amongst others ihi Bupa can offer the following
underwriting principles depending on the
agreement:
z Individual medical underwriting
Each employee and dependent must fill in
a Medical Questionnaire.
z Medical History Disregarded (MHD)
No individual medical underwriting. All pre-
existing conditions covered. For more than
20 employees.
The underwriting principles will influence the
premium.
Paymentihi Bupa offers flexible payment terms to all our clients.
This includes annual, semi-annual, quarterly, and
monthly payment (the latter only by standing order).
We can also produce your invoice in a number of
different styles – simply choose the one that suits your
company best.
RenewalFirst Choice is renewed annually. We guarantee that
we will never cancel a policy after a claim – meaning
your employees will never have to worry about being
without cover when you insure them with us.
