“The SouthEastern DX and Contesting Organization (SEDCO) is a non-profit organization, founded for one reason-

Special Events: Johnson County Amateur Radio Club May, 2016— de KW4DHTve CPARC met with the Principal of the Homesteads
August 6, 2016: The “Surviving the Snake” event took off at about 8:30am with 66 bike riders peddling their way over the mountains and back to Mountain City TN. This event is a fund raiser for our local hospital “JOHNSON COUNTY COMMUNI-TY HOSPITAL” . Johnson County Amateur Radio Club members support this event by providing radio communications throughout the ride, including the sweep truck, making sure every rider returns safely.

August 16, 2016 — Father and Son Pass Tech Exam Eric Johnsen, 13 (seated right), a student at Houston Middle School, and his father, Bill Johnsen (left), both of Germantown, are both being congratulated by course instructor, Joe Lowenthal, WA4OVO (standing), after passing the Federal Communication Commission’s Technician Ham Radio License test. The six-week course was recently held in the Community Room of the Ger-mantown Police Department and was sponsored by the Delta Amateur Radio Club. There were a total of 10 new technician class, two of whom also passed their general class exam.

To encourage interest in amateur radio and new hams, we will provide FREE admission to the first 20 individuals that pass their Technician Class Exam while at one of our exam sessions at Hamfest Chattanooga 2016. We want to “reward” and congratulate those that pass the Technician Class Exam and welcome them into the fun of amateur radio.
