Architecture of the Future

We, humans, are the most gifted creature on this planet and with our intelligence and will we are capable of great things. We can shape our path in life, guided by wishes and dreams, but also we can shape the space of our planet. Consequently, we build, we create and we shape everything after our imagination and desire.

Architecture is an art and a science that designs buildings. It has existed since the human race appeared still it has been shown in different forms. Spiritually speaking, architecture is a symbol of our creative and free hearts, a fact which we don't confine ourselves with just a shelter above our heads to protect us from the elements of Nature…

Some people don't understand it and when they hear about architecture the first thing coming in their mind are the buildings. But we don't need only the buildings for our human body, we also need gardens and parks for our souls and for Nature's sake, thing that architecture is able to offer us.

The architects always had large, opened horizons full of ideas and possibilities in front of them. They are people that revealed their soul to art and unlocked creations which humanity has never seen. But the future, our future is unknown…still we keep asking ourselves the same question: what will the future look like?

Will we live in space colonies on other planets when the Earth will hover on the verge of death? Or are we going to spend our lives in under-water cities? Or maybe live in floating cities after the ocean's level will have dangerously increased?

Nowadays, some of those future plans have been accomplished: we have artificial islands and half a mile high buildings with some new technology added because the architecture has developed at the same time with the technology. Those two disciplines are quite related as the architects are adding all kind of new inventions to their designs.

The future cities are going to be different compared with the ones from today. The space colonies are said to be designed more in the ground than at the surface of the colonized planets and there will be a lot more green spaces than in the normal cities ensuring enough oxygen and also food. From the architects' point of view, the future looks green. Adding natural conditions to the environment will make life better and healthier.

The buildings will have to be graceful and at the same time to be made of strong materials. However, by using stronger materials it will cost more to manufacture them and there are also harder to recycle.

There are many opinions about the appearance of the future, models with cities being made existing everywhere. Huge towers soaring toward the sky, moving platforms connecting each and every building, swirled blocks with domes made of glass or constructions plunging its inhabitants into the depths of the seas.

Anyway, considering the state of our planet now, the future cities are planned more carefully so that it won't harm it anymore. Until the constructions themselves will start, the people will have to lessen the pollution so that the future generations will have a land to step on.
