Since the beginning “Aranjuez” has assumed the responsibility to promote guitar quartet music and contemporary music, selecting the best arrangements of classical music, incorporating popular music and encouraging the development of Peruvian compositions without diminishing the creativity and vitality that motivates its members to accomplish their own ideals and to communicate with large audiences. Founded in December 1994 by Oscar Zamora, “Aranjuez” other members are: Gonzalo Manrique, Jorge Vega and Roberto Terry. Due to the great success obtained, since June 2001 "Aranjuez" has become part of the musical cast of the PUCP and since then has performed more than 45 recitals in the following cities: Lima, Trujillo, Cajamarca, Huánuco and Arequipa. In november 2002 they were invited to perform concerts and hold workshops in the city of Philadelphia, USA.
