1. MYSELF AM BAB A HIMSELF

I am the bee and He the flower,

/ am the flower and He the bower,

/ am the servant and He the master,

/ am the sheep and He the pastor.

/ am the brook and He the Ocean,

/ am the stone and He the mountain,/ am the son and He the father,1 am the child and He the mother.

/ am the cart and He the driver,/ am the instrument and He the doer. There is between us not a gulf,I "myself am Baba Himself.

Page 6: •r^> .> c - ambppct.org · c .> •r^>

TELL ME OH!

THE HIGHEST OF THE HIGH

Your celestial embrace / care not.

Trample me beneath Your feet; care a jot,/ cannot for long stand in queue

For Your love; but / shall become You.

Time space and distance cannot me bindThough I to You am a new find;/ am chakora bird You the Moon,/ await Your ray of grace for a boon.

Let eyes shed tears hearing Your Name,Let hairs stand on end counting Your famB^Let tears choke the throat seeing Your form.Let body be lost realising Your charm.

You steai my heart though not the thief; You control my mind though not the chief,I know not fully / love You why.Tell me Oh! the Highest of the High !

3. AN APPEAL TO BABA

Silence adorns You as ornament

Like moon and stars the firmament;

You are the siient teacher of the heart.

Nobody reaiiy knows Your art.

What if you don't speak when Your viewsCircuiate the worid and coi/ect their dues ?Sifence is revered through the ages

And is adopted by the sages

Your silence is self-imposed;Not a moment have You paused

To teii us that You are the Avatar.

Thereby we knew what You are.

if the breaking of Your sifenceIs the end to Your body-existance.Break not at any time Your siiece. Please spare Your body for Your young ones

• I

Manifestation-it is already there.Glorification-it is everywhere;Do not think of breaking siience,Piease spare Your body for young ones.

3

Page 8: •r^> .> c - ambppct.org · c .> •r^>

4, THE SILENT TEACHER

You know me since many a birth,/ am still In my childish m.lrth; You wish to lift and level my soul. But / know not my own goal.

' ask You "Father I give me my shareOf property You spend without care".Why do you smile all the while ?You can no longer use Your guUe !

Yes, / have right to sit on Your lap.Why fall on Your feet and weep ?/ possess all Your properties. Why then ask You the keys ?

Silently You teach me without preach,/ am perfectly now Your catch ;You make me know / am entityAnd at the same time non-entity.

/ always ask you "/ am what ?"You always saY "You are That,"/ am now learning A-B-C-D,You make me even for M. A. ready.

5. MY PRAYER

"What is speciality with Baba?" some ask.Of course it is a difficult task

To define Baba-only the Masts £ knowBaba's nature-and to them i bow.

The past i do not know;To the future i do not go;We are living in Avataric age.

Let us not turn over the page.

Vedas and Shastras were not able

To define Him; He is indefinable;

He is the cow we the calves.

No use describing Him in halves.

i cry now at the top of my voice.Because for me there is no choice,

"Let me live Baba-conscious

Let me die Baba-consious."

if Baba does not my prayer hear.

Let me make it to Him dear,

4 vyiii shake His gates and His peaceAnd really take charge of His keys.

£ God-inthxidated persons.5

6. THE ART OF BABA

Your love Is really unboundenLike the ocean-l cannot pen;

Your Grace all limits overflows

Like the river in spate-the 'mast' knows.

The ocean is ink; the Kalpa treeIs pen; and the earth, paper quality.Goddess Sharada writes day and night.Your love is undefined; see her plight.

I cannot love You as me You,

But what of that ? / am still new,

/ imbibe Your qualities one by oneAnd finally become the Reality one

By yoga can be the mind controlledAnd Intellect also by practice bold.Teach me the art of controlling the heaitMerging In You and Becoming Your part.

In search of freedom / become Your slave

To free me from suffering You make me braveTo face suffering; as You suffer on our part; The Avatar of the Age! is that Your art ?

6

Page 11: •r^> .> c - ambppct.org · c .> •r^>

7. WAYS OF BAB A

When the universal law is brokenrWhen the earth itself is shaken. You come down each time to right matters. And everybody Your need caters.

Monkeys served You as Rama,Krishna, Gopis with You played drama.

What is the special feature now ?Your latest attraction is Your love.

in Avatars past sinners You punished^n the ptesent One sinners you kissed. You worry and punish sadhus nowSaying always "Give me your love."

i ask you "Why should / give You my love ?"You say always "i took a vowTo bequeath my properties to those who giv^Their iove and are willing in me to live /'

Your ways are always vivacious,Maya is Your wand precious. You rule universe without the crownAnd endure our lapses without a frown.

7

Page 12: •r^> .> c - ambppct.org · c .> •r^>

8. A WAY FARER

Penance / do not know

To yoga / do not go.

My heart / do not show/ am stU! away-farer.

Yourself / do not know.

Myself too ditto.Why should / make a show ?/ am only a way-farer.

Love is hard to give. But You want It anyhow.Still / cannot give It nowAs I am a way-farer.

Every milestone Is the goafso you always me cajole. How many miles have / to craw!

As a weary way-farer ?

You say "You speak nonsense".But let me tell You onceTo give me another chanceSince / am a way-farer.

THE TOUCH OF BAB A

Your separation / bear with care. But / am afraid i cannot bear

Your touch; i may be lost in You,For which in Your court Yourself i sue.

Methinks some day or other^You win face blame of my mother

As Babajan did of Your motherBut please do not bother.

You win over people by embrace

And destroy ego without trace; You are not a wail to give ,Anything; our desires You remove.

Feats of intellect cannot describe

Your touch; may we Your love imbibe iYour ways are always marvellous,

BXit for my demands i always press.

Life is always at its bestif it is considered as a test.

Every moment is a Christmas night.Baba—consciousness is alright.

10. RENUNCIATION OF BAB A

On seventh October £ You did discard

Your expression through alphabet board. When You. really possess nothingHow can You renounce anything. ?

/ am just now knowing Your own art.You express through many a heart. You no longer require the alphabet board. This Is my view; Oh ! my Lord !

Your pulse / feel. You never think great. You are one with us, differences abate.

You teach renunciation by Your deedGiving Your daaman to follow Your lead.

When You have a reader In Eruch

Your wants are reduced very much. What have You to do with the Board

When You are the Universal Lord /

You blessed Arjuna with GItha discourseAnd taught him how to renounce ;Now You lenounce the Alphabet BoardAnd give me practical lesson as ward.

My chiid ! i have been doing thisFrom time immemoriai without wages, .You noticed me oniy just now.My wages are nothing short of iove.

Even iove you don't give reguiariy. You always avoid me on piea; But i won't leave you prodigal son !Ere long my spade work wiii be done.

Don't ask me what wiii be the future,it is not at aii in my natureTo speak out; just wait and seei am preparing YOU for ME

"My grace itself in a moment canYourself in you awaken; But i want to dear your heart. As i like i play my part".

14. MY RELATIONSHIP WITH BABA

To write or) You the pen Is broken. To speak on You the tongue Is shaken,'To think of You the mind Is lame.

To meditate on You the heart Is tame.

To give You my heart It Is withered. To give You my body It Is shattered! To give You my mind / have no control. To give You something / cannot feel.

To seat You the heart Is not vacant. The mind Is worse than a torn tent. The body Is worse. You can't sit there,/ have also no chal. s to spare.

/ make You stand and talk to meFace to face: / do not seeAny need for an Interpreter; We always carry on Hlept chatter.

The same heart throbs In You and me.The same mind works In You and me,/ feel same pulse In me and You,You are In me and / am In You.

15. GLORY OF NAME

Your separation i no longer bear.

"Who enlisted you in Mandaii" You ask iMy brothers oniy did this taskWith Your knowledge or not, i don't mind,i am now at rest - They are so kind.

Our true relationship i couldn't establishThough Your Name gives celestial bliss.

Efficacy of Name the saints know,

it is being revealed to me also.

Name is^mgre efficacious than You,i :nied., ngt sing its g/ory anew.Your. Form is deceptive; but Your Nameis more merciful and has real fame.

Neme ! Your glory Narad a singsAii over the three worlds on his strings;Have compassion and set on my tongue,Soiact to my heart You please do bring.
