You all represented Donaldson well. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of kids to work with! Congratulations to the tournament winners, the Fantas- tic Five: Casey Bachowski, Kylie Laughery, Loren Perry, Christina Prologo and Sydney Williams. Your team name will be inscribed on the plaque in the office! To the non-winning teams, a pat on the back as well, you read 10 books and had some fun with reading which is my ultimate goal. There can only be 1 winner but you are all winners in my book! Thank you to the parents who took time to support read- ing and show kids that reading is a skill that should be prac- ticed and enjoyed! Thank you to the teachers who accepted AR points and encouraged lunches and participation. Students enjoyed a celebration lunch on Tuesday April 3 rd in the library. Students received their participation certificates and many accolades from me at lunch!! See page 3 for all participants. Beth Schultz, Librarian

STUDENT INTERVIEWS

If you would like to have your child write an article, please contact Anne Harris-Crowe at [email protected]. It would be great to have a lot of children participate!!!!!

By Brayden Fayad My favorite thing at Donaldson is playing with my friends. My favorite subject is math. My favorite special at school is when we have gym. I really like my school.

By Adam Crawford The P.S.S.A's are really fun. My bus driver is also funny and nice. I have 2 teachers and 2 classrooms. My teachers and my classmates are awesome and really nice. In class we do science, reading, math, social studies and language arts. Science and math are my favorite subjects. Gym and swimming are my favor-ite specials.

By Andrea Russo

In Horizons class, we picked through a real owl pellet. An owl pellet

is a little ball of fur and bones. The owl throws up the ball. In my pel-

let, I found 3 rat skeletons and a mole skeleton. We placed all of

bones on a sorting chart. It was really fun digging in an owl pellet!
