    We are already planning for

the next school year and are

    currently recruiting nurses who

are interested in being part of

    the school nurse substitute

team. You may choose to run

    the Health Room and/or be

    part of the screening nurse

    group who will conduct student

    health screenings. This will

    include screening students for

    vision, hearing, and blood pres-

    sure. Training/orientation will

    be provided.

    If interested, please complete

    the online application

    and notify Mrs. Dyan McDowell

FIRST BASE (1 book read) = one ticket to our school's desig-nated home game SECOND BASE (2 books read) = one ticket for the parent/guardian to our school's desig-nated home game THIRD BASE (3 books read) = the student earns a spot in the pre-game Parade HOME RUN (4 books read) = one free hot dog and one free Coca-Cola at our school's desig-nated home game Each student receives a Blow-fish Bookmark and Reading Log to track his/her reading progress. The reading log is for students to fill out as they read each book

over the selected 4-week period. When the program ends, students will turn in their completed reading log to their homeroom teacher. Mrs. Matney will then send home a letter to those par-ents/guardians with information on how to redeem tickets and prizes. Please note that Blowfish staff will not accept the book-mark as a "ticket" on the day of the game like they have done in the past. Tickets/prizes must be reserved in advance by calling or emailing the box of-fice. Blowfish home games will be played at the Lexington Coun-ty Baseball Stadium located at 474 Ball Park Road in Lexington.

    LA FIESTA 2015!LA FIESTA 2015!LA FIESTA 2015!LA FIESTA 2015!

WOW! 2015 is sliding right by, and our earlier Fiesta date this year is quickly sneaking up! Each class is working hard to earn eligibility for a piata.

Our main time frame for Fiesta this year is Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17th with sev-eral of our 5th grade classes postponed due to a special Chorus program that week.

After careful consideration, some changes will be made to our Fiesta. We will not be serving any snacks, so we wont have to worry you with requests for donations of these items! Volunteers are still welcomed, but this change will allow us to hold each class Fiesta with fewer volunteers, especially keeping the constraints of Sra. Fultzs portable in mind!

Once again, the students will be able to participate in fun activities, register for raffle prizes, and purchase stuff with their pesos. Contributions of items for purchases and prizes such as trinkets, small gently used toys, and dollar store items are welcomed!

If you would like to volunteer to help out with your students class the week of April 13 17th, please see the links below to check out the class schedules for Sra. G. and Sra. Fultz. Email Sra. Gonzlez ([email protected]) if you can be with us!

Spring Pictures were sent home be-fore Spring Break. Pictures and/or money are due back by April 17. Please make checks payable to Straw-bridge. Payment information is inside the picture envelope. Class pictures are not in yet. If you ordered one, they will be sent home as soon as they arrive.
