April 14-16, 2015Miami Beach Convention Center | Miami, FL

    Dear MRO Attendee,

Welcome to the 20th annual MRO Americas Conference and Exhibition. As we conclude the second decade of MRO Americas we come to you with a program that Unlocks the Challenge of Innovation. We are thrilled to have you with us at the worlds largest and most prestigious event for the Air Transport Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Industry.

Each year MRO Americas is highly targeted on what you have told us you need to pay sharp attention to. We have specialty tracks that cover: Propulsion, Advanced Materials, IT, Logistics & Supply Chain, Airline Opera-tions, Regulations, Leasing, MRO Trends, Engineering, Business Development, Parts Management, and more.

Key speakers include, Lus Carlos Affonso, SVP Operations & COO, Embraer Commercial Aviation and Chris Kubasik, President & CEO, Seabury Advisory Group who will tackle unlocking the power of innovation.

New this year is a series of State of the Airlines sessions with a group of 15 airlines executives from United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, FedEx Express and UPS Airlines to provide an in-depth overview of each carriers fleet plans, whats new in tech-ops, major and upcoming projects, challenges and issues facing its supply chain. These special sessions require advanced registration and attendees must be approved by the airlines.

Part of the MRO Americas agenda includes a newer focus on Airline Operations resulting from cooperation with our relatively new sister publication Air Transport World. ATW has helped us bring sessions that include enhanced aircraft availability and of course Aircraft Tracking coming on the heels of MH-370 and the recent ICAO agreement on the subject.

Also new this year is a series of shorter and to the point break out sessions of only 30 minutes each. Some even include what we are calling a Quick Data Blast. A four to five minute blast of facts and figures to set up the topic followed by the speakers.

Given that this is our 20th birthday please join us Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:30 at the Aviation Week Booth to celebrate with cake and a cocktail! We will do some Tweeting there also alerting the world on social media.

We would like to thank Cavok, a division of Oliver Wyman, our In Partnership With sponsor, as well as all Premier and Executive sponsors. Also a big thank you to Airlines for America and especially its Engineering, Maintenance & Materiel Council (EMMC) and most importantly, you the customer. When it comes to meeting your peers, networking and doing business, MRO Americas is unrivaled and we are glad to have you with us.

Aviation Weeks MRO Global Awards Presentations Keeping Up with the Digital Paradigm in Aerospace

Evolving digital capabilities are transforming every aspect of the commercial aerospace business, offering new and efficient oppor-tunities to connect and interact with suppliers and customers alike. However, as the technology gap or digital divide becomes wider, the complexity and changing approaches hinder adoption. Accen-ture recently conducted a global survey of the aerospace industry to assess the appetite for digital investments and to understand the challenges standing in the way of an all-digital mindset. Based on the findings, this session offers insights and examples of how aerospace companies can leverage new digital capabilities to achieve perfor-mance improvements across the extended aerospace enterprise.(All attendees must also be registered for MRO Americas. There is no fee for the Briefing but registration is required.)

Using Theory of Constraints to Dramatically Improve Speed and Throughput in Aircraft Maintenance

Unlike manufacturing, aircraft maintenance operations have signifi-cant variability due to a mix of routine planned work and non-routine work . This variability makes it very challenging to improving speed and throughput. Continuous improvement methods have helped incrementally but what you need is a step jump in performance. Goldratt Consulting, the leader in Theory of Constraints (TOC), offers a unique approach to improve performance in such highvariability environments without additional investment in software and other infrastructure. Leading airlines and MROs have implemented this approach and realized 25+% gains in operational performance such as reduced out-of-service, reduced delays & cancellations, and im-proved morning startup.

For Day of Operations staff and management, the goals remain the same, day in and day out meet fleet availability demands and return aircraft back into service quickly, while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. Success requires the right mix of maintenance information, insight and support. In this session, Mxi will showcase how its Maintenix solution is facilitating a connected work-force between Maintenance Operations Control and line technicians, delivering the timely information exchange and communications they need to best fulfill on time, on budget aircraft release.
