    APO: Advanced Planner & Optimizer

Complete toolset needed to plan and optimize supply chainprocesses at the strategic, tactical and operational planninglevels.

    APO has four components:

    DP: Demand planning

    SNP: Supply network planning

PPDS: Production planning & Detailed scheduling

    GAP: Glo!al availa!le to promise

Besides these, following supply chain features are available:

    Supply network design

Supply chain monitoring using supply chain cockpit ight integration !etween APO and SAP "#$

Supply chain monitoring using supply chain cockpit:

The Supply Chain Cockpit is one of the APO planning applications, and consists of agraphical instrument panel for managing and controlling the supply chain. It iscongurable to conditions ithin a ide !ariety of industries and business situations.

Anyone in!ol!ed in the PlanSource"ake#eli!er cycle of supply chain

management can use it to their ad!antage.

SCC is a highly intuiti!e, graphical interface that acts as a top enterprise planning layerco!ering other planning areas such as manufacturing, demand, distribution andtransportation.

(espond immediately and accurately to ne de!elopments by tracking alertsituations

(etain -e'ibility in your decisionmaking process

As the gateay to APO, the Supply Chain Cockpit pro!ides you ith a indo to your

    supply chain.

It also makes dealing ith a !ast and cumbersome supply chain easier and moremanageable. /y creating indi!idual ork areas, se!eral planners can orksimultaneously on di0erent parts of a supply chain.

    Supply Network Design:

1etork #esign is a planning application for making tactical and strategic supply chaindecisions. 2ith this tool, strategic logistics planners and supply chain managers canmodel and redesign the supply chain by performing cost e!aluations of locations, hatifanalysis of current territorial di!isions, transportation netork analysis, and positioningof locations such as distribution centers.

3unctionality ranges from the determination of optimal sourcing or shipping patterns to

the e!aluation of proposed supply chain netork changes such as the closing or openingof locations.

*ey functions include hatif analysis for nding the best netork solution and fore!aluating the benets of any changes. Another important function is the option to

perform simulations ith di0erent demand and supply patterns or ith di0erent cost orcapacity constraints.

The tool also enables planners to determine ho much capacity is necessary to createan optimal netork for the forecasted demand situation.
