Sodium CarbonateSoda Ash’s most important use is in

the chemical make-up of glass.

When heated at high temperatures,

combined with sand and calcium

carbonate and cooled very rapidly,

sodium carbonate can be used to

form the transparent non-crystalline

material, commonly known as glass.

Glass is used in the construction

industry as well as in mobile phones,

consumer electronics and beverages.

Soda ash is also used to make

detergents.
