Monday morning~ Oct. 1.5, 1967, the American Oil Chem- ists' Society will convene the General Assembly of its 41s~ Annual Fal l Meeting" at the Pick-Congress Hotel in Chi- cago. The 38th Annual Meeting, held at the Pick-Congress in 1964, attracted nearly 1,000 scientists from here and abroad, to attend the three-day Technical Program. R. A. Reiners, of Corn Products Co., is General Chairman for this year's AOCS meeting.

Program Chairman for the coming meeting is Frank Norris, who reports that commitments for the symposia are being obtained. Two new symposia, "Surfactants in Cosmetics/' and "Surfactant Applications in Foods," are being organized by I. R. Sehmolka and I. A. MacDona!d, as reported in Apr i l JAOCS. Those who have prepared technical papers in these and other areas should get in touch with Dr. Morris without delay at the National Dairy Products Corporation, Box 25, Glenview, Illinois 60025.

S e v e r a l Choice E x h i b i t Booths A v a i l a b l e

George Rimnac, Exhibits Chairman, advises that there are just a few choice booths remaining; therefore any ex- hibitor who has not yet purchased exhibit space should contact him immediately. Mr. Rinmac is also with Na- tional Dairy Products Corporation, at the address above.

On the social scene, entertainment for the annual ban- quet has been planned in all details. Entertaimnent Chair- man M. L. Ott, of Durkee Famous Foods, states that his committee has prepared a program to please a variety of tastes; details will be given later, but a gala evening it will be.
