Coordination of projects submitted and financed at departmental level

DSF – Departmental project. INTERACT – INTERactive museum paths for the Accessibility and fruition of CulTural heritage. Objectives: The main aim of the project is to integrate the use of digital tools in individualised and innovative learning museum pathways, relating education with the local artistic and cultural heritage, in view of the development of citizenship and social inclusion competences. Coupling new teaching methodologies and innovative digital tools in order to develop competencies in different profiles of museum visitors, especially primary and lower secondary school pupils, is the key feature of the project. Pupils will undergo a number of tech-based activities ranging from Digital Storytelling to Object-Based learning and Virtual Immersive-Interactive Social Museums applied to their local territory. This project-based approach will foster the children’s “active citizenship”, the valorization of talents normally not exploited at school (thus favoring the inclusion of “difficult” students), as well as affection and care for the cultural heritage dealt with. Moreover, it will also promote the acquisition of the “4Cs” skills (Critical thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration), already defined by Trilling & Fadel (2009) as primary educational competencies, necessary for the development of more complex skills, in line with the EU commission recommendations (2006/962/CE). Research Group: Antonella Poce, Daniela Marella, Giuseppe Bove, Marco Giosi, Maria Rosaria Re, Francesca Amenduni, Carlo De Medio, Mara Valente. Duration: 24 months – 2020-2022

DSF – Departmental project. Verba sequentur. Thought and writing. Objectives: the didactic activity, object of the experimentation, concerns in particular two modes of amplification of original texts of study in the field of Italian Literature programs of the first two- year in secondary school. The exercise foreseen is essentially based on paraphrases and conceptual amplification. The aim is to move from the descriptive level, drawing differently the syntax of the sentence (for example breaking it and restructuring it), to the metaphorical level (mood, difficult relationship with life, etc.). The two exercises must be proposed in sequence: first the paraphrase and then the amplification of the conceptual structure of a poetic or prosaic literary text. The exercise should be carried out daily, highlighting the non-evaluative character of the experience and respecting the only limitation of the time given (not more than 20 minutes). As far as the evaluation protocols of the produced texts are concerned, the following will be taken into account: graphic forms, use of italics and stamps, identification of the

levels of legibility (high, medium and low), and the occurrence of lexical frequencies. The main objective of the research is to estimate the consistency of the lexicon starting from the written text, working on the passive and active lexicon (1st and 2nd exercises), trying to measure the possible critical thinking development, which can be identified in the delta between the descriptive and interpretative text, which becomes critical. Appropriate tools will be built for the detection of environmental and social variables. The results of these surveys will then be related to the data collected following the administration and evaluation of the results of the writing tests, carried out by the students who are going to participate in the first phase of experimentation. Objectives. This project proposal aims to design and test an innovative evaluation system of multimedia products with free access, for example MOOCs, in order to define the necessary tools for a critical and conscious evaluation of online digital resources and their impact in university education. Research groups: Antonella Poce, Francesco Agrusti. Tasks: coordinator. Products. The preliminary study on the subject allowed the presentation and publication of the following works: Poce A. (2014),“Developing Critical Perspectives on Technology in Education: A Tool for MOOC evaluation”, in António Moreira Teixeira, András Szűcs (Eds), Challenges for Research into Open and Distance Learning, EDEN Research Workshop, Oxford (UK), 27-28 October, 2014, EDEN: Budapest, ISBN 978-615-5511-00-4. DSF – Departmental project. Definition of a canon for scientific dissemination

Objectives: Through the present study, the aim is to define and make available models useful for investigating the relationship between science and the use of its contents, also through innovative technological methods. Establishing a canon of scientific dissemination is an important step forward in the field of educational research. Among its aims, the research also had that of identifying an interpretative code, that is, a set of encyclopaedic elements that allow the citizen to correctly decode a specific domain of information. Through the understanding of the scientific phenomena that occur in the community to which they belong, individuals can have at their disposal the necessary cognitive tools to actively participate in social life and in the democratic and decision-making dynamics in which they are inserted. The third phase is based on the collatio, that is the discussion of the strengths (pro) and the weaknesses (contra) among students and with the tutor. The last phase is the questio: after the analysis and the group discussion and the discussion with the professor, the text is the object of a global and critical interpretative
