This journal goes over the characteristics of an animal abuser. Not all people abuse animals so it has been researched into seeing if it takes a certain type of person to be an abuser. The study was done on twenty­nine college kids to see if they fell into the correct category of abusers. The author is a mental nurse who studied the effects and causes of animal hoarding on people and animals. This gives a good definition of what animal hoarding technically is and when it was first diagnosed.
