INTERNSHIP AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCES
Technical Workshop IIT Delhi December 2014
Participated in the International Workshop on “Emerging Trends in Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics” organized by Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi on 20th-21st December 2014.
The workshop had speakers of great stature with substantial accomplishments in the field of structural engineering.
Stochastic Filters for parameter and state estimation IISc Banglore May-July 2014 Worked on the development of a novel form of Drift-removed Monte-Carlo filtering technique for nonlinear estimation
problems, with applications to dynamic structural state/parameter identification and regression analysis. Matlab codes were developed for the devised filter and compared with EnKF (Ensemble Kalman Filter) for multilevel regression
problems of state and parametric estimation. Design Internship CONFRA design and architectural services May-July 2013
Contributed in design of the judiciary building to be built in Gyanpur under R.D.Singh, Managing Director of the company. It is 247meter long 98meter wide judiciary building of Sant Ravidas Nagar District to be built in Gyanpur. Designed the family court at Pratapgarh.
PROJECTS
Soil-Structure Interaction in Building Cluster IIT (BHU) May 2015- July 2015 2D finite element models of building cluster were built in Plaxis software and effect of soil-structure interaction was
observed under sinusoidal excitation. Large number of building clusters with varying size and height with varying soil stiffness was modelled and dependence
of response of each building on its position (in cluster) was studied. We wrote a research paper with our findings and submitted to Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering, Elsevier,
which is currently being reviewed by editors. Aircraft Hanger Design IIT (BHU) May 2015- July 2015
Completed a full project of aircraft hangar design (56m long and 40m wide) with planning, structural modelling and design of each component and drafting in a team with 4 members.
The design project was done as a part of National level competition for “Cost effective design of Aircraft hangar” organized by INSDAG and we were one of the 14 finalists of the competition in the whole country.
Soil-Structure Interaction IIT(BHU) September 2014 3D model of various rectangular buildings with different height was modelled on ANSYS with frictional contact between
foundation and soil. Dynamic response of these structures was computed under EI Centro ground motion. A comparison between the response with frictional contact and commonly used fixed base assumption was presented
at Structural Engineering Convention (SEC 2014), an International conference organized by Indian Association for Structural Engineering (IASE) at IIT Delhi. The proceeding of this conference was published by Springer.

Finite Element Analysis IIT (BHU) September 2013-April 2014 Finite Element model of Dental implant was designed on ANSYS for different implant specifications. Stress distribution,
deflection and deformation of implant and jawbone was analyzed under maximum chewing load leading to the development of a novel implant design with better penetration and load distribution.
The project was a collaborated work with Dr. Rajesh Bansal, Asso. Professor at Institute of Medical Science, BHU and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Professor, IIT(BHU), Varanasi.
Approximate Method Of Analysis IIT (BHU) January –May 2013 Compared the analysis result of substitute frame method (approximate method) and matrix method result of STAAD
ProV8i for 3D multistory buildings under vertical loading. Compared manual design results with STAAD Pro design results.
