Angel’s Nightmare Adventure

Chapter 1

Angel nervously awaits his jaw reconstruction surgery that

he needed to repair an overbite that he had. Angel was 17 preparing

to enter senior year of High School. He was an A student in school

but still managed to maintain a healthy social life and was actually

well respected in school even by the popular kids. The overbite was

caused by the constant sucking of his thumb when he was younger,

he didn’t stop sucking his thumb until the age of eight. Angel went

through most of elementary school being picked on for having such

an overbite. It was so bad many of his classmates back then called

him Angel the butt tooth rabbit. The bullying did calm down as he

got into middle school and he got his braces put in. The braces on his

teeth were supposed to push the teeth in, but the overbite was too

severe to repair with braces, so the orthodontist recommended

either surgery or live the rest of his life the way he was. Angel

decided that he didn’t want to grow up with his kids seeing his ugly

looking overbite.

That was back in may, it was now July only two months until

school started again. While Angel wanted to look good for the girls

when he got back to school which he was already attracting, he was

becoming very nervous as his time to go under the knife was coming

quick. Angel is with his mother and father who try to comfort him as

he was preparing to go into the operating room.

Angel’s father says “Don’t worry you’ll be alright in time for

school, I know you want that good looking girl in school.”

His mother in Spanish says “God will always be with you,

have faith and you’ll be fine. I love you my son!” Angel is hesitant to

go into the operating room, in fact Angel was so hesitant to go inside

he made a run for the exit. The surgeon calls for security, Angel’s

mother and father also chase Angel down. Angel realizes taking the

elevator isn’t an option so he heads for the stairway.

The surgeon says “Harrison! We got a runner heading up or

down the stairs on the 8th floor. Make sure you have guards waiting

for him in either direction; he is going straight for the exit.”

Harrison replies “10-4 chief. Don’t worry I know Angel very

well, we always been buddies every time he’s come for his

appointments.” Harrison was head of security of Woodhull Hospital

located in Brooklyn, New York. He was the one to always check for

Id’s when people were coming in for their appointments and made

sure things were rolling along properly. Woodhull hospital was a

rather big building but Harrison knew the building inside and out.

Guards were waiting for Angel on the 9th floor and Angel was

a no show. There were also guards on the 8th floor waiting for Angel.

Once of the guards on the 8th floor spots Angel, but Angel takes off so

quickly that the guard barely notices him. The guard pages Harrison

that Angel is heading downstairs and to have guards on the ready by

the main and back exits. Angel gets all the way down to the first floor

and figures to use the back exit as the main exit was probably going

to be well guarded. However to Angel’s shock Harrison is waiting for

Angel right by the back exit and grabs him by the arm.

Harrison pages the surgeon “I got Angel he’s ok!” Angel’s

parents are relieved to hear that their son has been recovered.

Harrison asks Angel “Why did you try to run away just now, I

thought you said you weren’t scared of the operation?”

Angel answers “I did but ever since playing this new video

game involving zombies and a hospital I’ve been having bad dreams

about the hospital infested with zombies!”

Harrison asks Angel “Have you played that game after

midnight?”

Angel answers “Yes I have and it’s much scarier at night, but

the sound effects sound cooler at nighttime.”

Harrison replies “That is what is what probably has you

scared to your pants, I don’t let my son play that game after

midnight! Listen Angel you need to go back upstairs your operation

is scheduled to start soon. I promise you’ll be ok; you’re in the hands

of experts besides you’ll be asleep through the actual operation

anyway. Think of it as a really long sleep you’re about to enjoy, one

you haven’t had in years. Now come on Angel you’re a big boy!”

Angel replies “Fine you win Harrison besides what are the

odds of zombies ever coming alive. There’s this one girl I really want

to impress in High School her name is Tiffany. I almost have her in

my hands, just have to get rid of her boyfriend she has now.”

Harrison responds while laughing “After this surgery you’ll

look twice as better and she’ll fall into your lap. Now Angel you

ready to go back upstairs, you got your parents worried.” Angel

responds yes to Harrison’s question and is escorted back upstairs

with Harrison back to the operating room.

When Angel is escorted back upstairs he is greeted by his

parents who are happier than mad that he is ok. Angel’s father says

“Son I know you’re nervous, I remember my eye operation but this is

something you agreed to. I promise when you are done we’ll take

care of you.”

Angel replies “I know pops I’ll relax now, alright guys time

to cut me up I guess” The surgeons and his assistants laugh along

with Angel. Angel is placed on the operating table and is injected

with anesthetic to help him sleep. Angel begins to fall asleep while

the surgeon and his staff prepare the tools for the operation.

The last words Angel hears are from the chief surgeon “You

ok Angel; you’ll be asleep for awhile so just relax and let us take care

of the hard work.”

Angel responds “Yeah I’m ok, just be careful with my

beautiful mouth. I’m trying to look good for senior year, Tiffany you

will be mines…” Angel drifts off to sleep before he could say anymore

words, the surgeons begin to put on their outfits and prepare for the

operation. Then silence is heard…

Chapter 2

Ten hours have passed since Angel was place on the

operating table around nine in the morning. The hospital is unusually

silent since this is usually visiting hours at the hospital. The hallways

are mostly empty and quiet. Meanwhile ten hours ago the hospital

was business as usual, what could have possibly happened? Angel

regains his conscience as he discovers that his mouth hasn’t even

been touched at all. Angel quickly realizes that the surgery never

happened but he asks himself why was did the operation never

happen. In one sense Angel was relieved that he wouldn’t have to

endure the pain after the operation was done and he would be able

to eat fast food. However in another sense Angel was disappointed

but more puzzled on what is going on.

Angel screams “Hello! Hello! Is anybody here? If so please

let me know.” Angel heads away from the operating table and what

he sees is disturbing. The chief surgeon along with his staff was all

bleeding, well dead already by the rotting smell of the decaying

bodies. Angel becomes even more worried trying to figure out how

were these people killed and why. Upon closer examination Angel

finds that all of the dead bodies have bite marks, in fact very deep

bite marks. Angel started to believe that these people were killed by

zombies, the same ones he would kill in his video game.

Angel slowly walks out of the operating room into the

hallway; as he approaches the hallway a man begins to attack him.

However this man wasn’t human his skin was all wrinkling and

decayed. In fact this man had no color on his skin he was pale as

white paint. Angel grabs a pair of surgeon’s scissors and pokes the

eye of the man. The man does not go down however; Angel grabs a

knife to slash the head of the man. Angel is horrified at what he sees,

but knows if he didn’t kill the man; the man would’ve killed him.

Angel takes a look at the dead body and realizes by touching its skin

it was not a human it was indeed a zombie. Angel’s worst fear has

come true; zombies have come to invade the hospital.

Angel wondered if his parents were ok, so he heads to the

hallway where he sees Harrison on the floor holding his right side.

Angel asks Harrison “Oh man are you ok? Are my parents

ok?”

Harrison in a weak voice says “Who…who are you? Oh

you’re Angel, I’m afraid I got some bad news… you’re parents along

with many in this hospital are dead…”

Angel asks “What happened to this place it was running

normally before?”

Harrison answers “About 3 o’clock in the afternoon there

was a report of a man that was bitten alive by another man not too

far from here. When I and my fellow guards came to apprehend the

man we notice he wasn’t normal. When we shot the man his skin was

dry, wrinkly and pale.”

Angel responds “Just like the man I killed, it has to be a

zombie.”

Harrison says “Once we took that man down a whole army of

the came rushing in to the hospital, while we were able to take some

of them out there were too many. These zombie creatures have taken

over the hospital and they have made a mess out of this place. Many

fires have started in this place due to our efforts to kill the zombies. I

suspect a hidden substance is behind is behind this, several officers

went to investigate the Hybrid Corporation but no one believed

them, after all that this started to happen.” (After the dialogue

Harrison groans in pain).

Angel says “Hang in there Harrison I’m not letting you go

that fast and easy.”

Harrison responds “Don’t worry about me; just rescue the

survivors in the other rooms. Here… take this keycard it will help

you around the hospital and take this handgun I know you’re a kid

but you’ll need to defend yourself. Now go!!!” Angel says “But!”

Harrison replies “Just Go!!!”

Angel says “Fine I’ll go, but I’ll be back just hang in there.

We’re getting out of this place one way or another.” Angel is hesitant

to leave Harrison as he is holding his right side but understands that

standing around won’t do him any good. Angel holds a Smith and

Wesson handgun; Angel has never shot a gun before, but needed to

learn as quickly as possible. Angel heads up to the ninth floor to see

if he sees any survivors. He sees a couple of zombies approach him,

knowing there was no way around them Angel had to use the gun to

kill the zombies. For the first time Angel is not too bad one head shot

and the other zombie needed three shots to die. Angel needed to

work on the recoil that he would receive shooting the pistol, which

he would get used to as he went along.

Angel goes to the 9th floor hallway finds some bullets from

the corpse of a dead guard. He spots a couple of zombies who he

shoots kills off easily, he starts to investigate the individual rooms for

any survivor’s but finds none. Angel is caught inside a room when

four of the dead bodies come to life all looking for a piece of Angel.

He does find an access card to the seventh floor. Angel uses his

marital arts skills to kick one of the zombies away and then runs as

fast as he can. More zombies come from the dead giving chase to

Angel; with limited ammunition Angel decides that discretion is the

better part of valor and runs for it.

Angel heads down towards the seventh floor; ideally Angel

wants to get down to the first floor. However two problems that

arose was that one he didn’t want to leave Harrison or any other

survivors behind. The second problem was that the stairway heading

down was blocked by tall flames, so even if Angel wanted to get out

he couldn’t. Angel decides to head into the seventh floor and he finds

even more bullets for his handgun. Angel kills a couple of zombies

who were all burned up after getting caught in the flames. The 7th

floor was the ICU part of the hospital. Angel heads into a storage

room then a zombie lying down played dead. Angel did not fall for

the trap instead Angel uses a lead pipe onto the zombies head killing

it. Upon exploring the storage room Angel finds more bullets for his

handgun but also a riot shotgun used for more dangerous situations.

Angel says to himself “Well this is one of those dangerous

situations, so I’ll gladly take it. Hmm where is that ribbit coming

from?”

Angel heads out of the storage room carefully and all of a

sudden a frog like creature comes down. Angel as first is nervous to

face the frog like creature. The frog sticks out its tongue, while

normally that would be a big deal. However these frogs were three

times the size of normal frogs and their licks were poisonous. To add

insult to injury the tip of their tongue had a spike that could cut and

slash their victims. Angel doges the licks by the frog and luckily so

the lick was powerful enough to cut through a glass window. Angel

waits until the frog opens its mouth then blasts it with his shotgun he

just found. Angel catches his breath and breathes a sign of relief. He

explores another room where he finds an access card to the sixth

floor. Then out of nowhere the ceiling above Angel collapses and he

is able to get out of the way just in time before getting crushed by

the rubble.

Angel says “Wow that was close; this place is falling apart

need to get out of here as fast as I can!” Angel hears footsteps

towards the central part of the floor, so Angel heads to the central

part of the 7th floor. Again the footsteps are heard going into the ICU

office; Angel follows the footsteps into the office. Angel turns on the

light and surprisingly the lights are still working.

Angel searches high and low for anything living saying

“Anybody hear? If you are a survivor I’m not going to hurt you,

please come on out!”

Angel heads to the back of one of the cubicles and spots a

young girl kneeling as she was trying to hide from someone. When

the girl sees Angel she runs screaming “Ahhhh! Let me go!” Then he

grabs her.

Angel says “Easy! Easy there I’m not a zombie, you’re safe

now “(The girl hugs Angel in comfort) “My name is Angel what’s

yours?”

The girl replies “My name is Maria.”

Angel asks Maria “What are you doing here?”

Maria answers “My mom called and told me to go the

hospital because it was too dangerous to stay at home. You’re not

dressed. (Maria notices that Angel is still in his patient outfit).

Maria was a girl the same age as Angel. She was as smart as

Angel, but much more timid than Angel. However she did have a

beautiful face, which caught Angel’s attention.

Angel says “Your mom was probably right but its dangerous

here as well, come stick with me. I protect you I promise.”

Maria says “There’s something out there much bigger then

those zombies and he’s after me!” Maria runs away from Angel while

Angel screams her name out. Angel thought to himself zombies and

frogs were only the beginning, it was going to be a long night. A long

night considering that he was by himself as his parents were killed

and the only survivor ran away in fear.

Chapter 3

Angel has no idea where Maria took off too but by the looks

of it she went upstairs. Angel figures however that he should go to

the sixth floor first, that was where the security level was located

and where the elevator controls was located. Angel heads down

stairs where he meets more zombies that he kills off. He heads into

the hallway where a large group of zombies were eating a human

body. Angel watched in terror as the carnage was unfolding in front

of him. Angel noticed that in order to get to the security area and

activate access for the first floor, he would need to get pass the

zombies. Angel walks slowly and nervously towards the group trying

to get around, Angel did not have enough ammo to kill off every

zombie.

Angel says “Oh my god, just keep calm Angel as long as they

don’t see you they can’t touch you.” Angel sneaks around the

zombies and manages to go around them. He then heads to the

security room where the access control system was located. At the

age of 17 Angel didn’t know much about these systems but the

important thing he saw was a keycard slot. The slot read “To

override lock on first floor exit and back exit, a keycard is required.”

A memo is also found in the room saying that the keycard for the

override was located in the 12th floor. The access keycard for the 12th

floor was located in the basement. He reads the rest of the memo

which indicates that to get to the basement; a heart key was needed

but was locked in a safe in the first floor east office. Angel was able

to see three numbers of the combination but the digit in the third

slot was missing. Angel also sees a grenade launcher next to him as

well, he quickly grabs it. It is a bit heavy but Angel is able to hold it

properly.

Angel uses the grenade launcher to clear the zombies that

were eating up the human body. Angel says “Eat that zombie

freaks!” Angel continues to explore the sixth floor but finds nothing

of interest. Angel makes his way down to the first floor using the

stairway but the path to the first floor is blocked by the front of a

crashed helicopter. Angel says in his head, “What the hell happened

here? It must have been a really crazy scene, when I was asleep!”

Angel is forced to the second floor which was always

rumored to be the “Mysterious Floor” as almost nobody would go up

to that floor. Only special employees would go up to the second floor,

in fact the second floor was always inaccessible even from the

elevator. Angel always wondered why, as he enter the 2nd floor he

enters a hallway that is on fire. He sees a couple of zombies, but

decides to save his ammo by using the door ahead of him. When

Angel walks through the door, it becomes clear why the 2nd floor was

never mentioned. There were also rumor that a loud roar could be

heard coming from the 2nd floor, but the origins were unknown. The

hallway was eerie and greenish like what you would see in a

Victorian era hospital. The walls were dusty and in bad shape, the

smaller rooms were filled with spider webs along with beds older

than his grandfather. All of a sudden Angel sees two huge tarantula

spiders ahead. Angel’s heart begins to pound as he suffered from

arachnophobia (Fear of spiders). However Angel did have his

grenade launcher still loaded. Angel takes a shot at the spiders, but

he only hits one of the spiders. The other spider began to crawl as a

rapid pace towards Angel and Angel moves back as fast as he can.

Angel in a panic says, “Oh shit he’s coming right for me, shit

the door behind me is full of zombies. Well it’s time to face my fear of

spiders!”

Angel runs forward avoiding the poison spit that was being

shot at him by the spider. The spider tries to attack Angel with its

legs but by some miracle it misses Angel. Angel takes advantage of

the spider leaving its self open by blasting it with his shotgun killing

it.

Angel says, “Wow that was too close, I’ll be having

nightmares about spiders chasing me for the next few days.” Angel

moves on down the halls and figures out that the second floor was

left abandoned. Angel asked himself, why would the hospital leave

the second floor rot. What was on this floor that had the employees

running scared? Angel sees a door leading to the first floor but it is

locked and requires a key. Not a normal key but a key that would

open a Victorian Era style door. Angel moves on forward and sees

another door ahead but before Angel got his hand on the door. The

ceiling collapses on top of Angel, Angel gets out of the way from the

falling rubble. However the kicker is that through the rubble was a

creature with a pale white face along with a red trench coat. Angel

empties bullets onto the creature but the creature doesn’t go down

or even budge for that matter.

Angel says, “What the hell is this thing? No don’t tell me, Mr.

Z the creature from the video game that never dies, shit he probably

has the key though. There’s gotta be some ammo hiding around here

somewhere!” Angel heads back to the area where the spiders were

and finds some grenade rounds. Before Angel could use them, Mr. Z

grabs and throws Angel cornering him. The Mr. Z puts his hands

together trying to knock Angel out with a hammer punch; Angel is

able to crawl out of the way. Angel blasts a grenade to Mr. Z and the

creature finally goes down. Angel looks inside the pockets and finds

the key to the door leading him to the first floor.

Angel says “He may be down, but if this is like my video

game back home he’s not out. He’ll be chasing me through out this

whole place. I need to start gathering some more ammunition, find

Maria and more importantly find an escape plan.” Angel opens the

door with the key; it is an unusually heavy door. After opening the

door Angel sees a set of stairs leading downstairs to the first floor.

(After Angel takes the stairs, Mr. Z gets right back up, ready to strike

again. – cue drastic music)

Chapter 4

Angel heads down the stairs but the stairs lead him outside

through a side area of the hospital. There are dogs on the other side

of the fence and they are trying to jump over the gate to attack

Angel. Lucky for Angel the gate is high enough so that the dogs can’t

get inside. Angel finds some shotgun shells along with some handgun

bullets, which he desperately needed. After picking up the goodies

Angel heads through the gray door and to his luck he finds himself

right in the East office where the safe was located. Now was it a

blessing or a curse that remained to be seen. Angel finds even more

ammo inside a locker full of grenades, shotgun shells and handgun

bullets. Angel was now ok when it came to ammunition but he

couldn’t go crazy; there is no telling what else is lurking in his

hospital. Not to mention that Mr. Z wasn’t really dead, but Angel

probably had the idea that he would meet Mr. Z again.

Angel heads into the actual office, zombies of different

occupations such as doctors, officer workers and janitors all stared

at Angel. Angel prepares for battle and kills the first few zombies

that he comes across. One zombie tries to grab Angel from behind,

but Angel is able to get away before getting caught. Angel takes out

some more zombies; there were a larger number than Angel

anticipated. Angel is grabbed by one of the zombies who is trying to

bite him, Angel grabs a pen. Angel takes the pen and stabs the eye of

the zombie to escape its grasps. Realizing there were a large group

of zombies, Angel takes out his shotgun and begins to clean house.

Finally after clearing the office of the zombies Angel hears a loud

roar, it sounded very familiar.

Angel says, “Mr. Z I know you’re still alive, you’re not fooling

anybody. I’ll be waiting for our next meeting. I just hope Maria is ok

and we can get out of here as quickly as possible, we maybe running

out of time here!”

Angel goes into a smaller room in the office where a zombie

tries to ambush Angel, but Angel elbows the zombie right in the

head. As a result the zombie is beheaded and dies on the spot. Angel

spots the safe that was mentioned on the memo back at the sixth

floor. Angel reads the memo which has the combination 4-6-?-1, the

question mark represents the number that was ripped off. That

simply meant that Angel had to go through process of elimination

and eventually he is able to figure out the combination as 4-6-0-1.

Angel opens the safe and finds some shotgun shells, a map and the

heart key to open the basement. Angel takes a quick look at the map

that he just acquired and sees that there are only eleven floors.

Angel says, “The twelfth floor must be the roof I guess,

better keep that in mind in case I can’t get out through the front

door. What bother’s me is why isn’t it marked on the map or does

this hospital have more secrets waiting to be revealed?”

Angel was bother by the fact that the memo mentions the

12th floor but yet on the map it is not shown. Perhaps the map was an

older map that wasn’t updated; it did still have the 2nd floor labeled

although it wasn’t being used. However Angel wasn’t going to let

that stop him from escaping, while there was a door to the right of

him, Angel avoided as it led to the front door and there were

probably zombies waiting for him on the other side. Angel instead

uses the heart key to unlock the basement. Angel was prepared for

just about anything, as anything that could happen, has happened.

Angel goes down the stairs and when he reaches the bottom he spots

a couple of dogs. However these canines are not friendly towards

Angel, in fact they are malformed and try to attack Angel. Angel

shoots the dogs, killing them instantly.

Angel says in a sad tone “Poor pups, I feel sorry that I had to

shoot them. I love dogs with a passion but it was either kill them or

be killed. I have researched the Hybrid Corporation and from what I

know they are a company that makes gas for medical use. Could it be

an experiment totally gone wrong? There was no time to think about

that, I had to get moving, time was not on my side.”

Angel takes a look at the hallway and sees this hallway

contains many rooms. It includes a parking garage, an autopsy room

and a weapon storage room. The autopsy room is locked and so is the

weapon storage room. Angel heads to the parking garage, hoping to

find a way out. However when Angel enters the garage is collapsed

on the part leading to the exit. Angel hears the scream of a young

girl, could that be Maria? It was Maria and she was being chased by

a frogger, which was Angel’s nickname for the frog like creatures.

Maria screams in agony “Somebody help me, get this

disgusting toad out of my face!”

Angel says to the frog “Hey frog face, how about picking on

somebody your own size!” Angel blasts the frog with a shotgun blast

and then he goes to comfort Maria.

“Maria I was so worried about you, I’m glad I found you. It’s

time for us to go, you’re coming with me.” Maria hesitates. Then

Angel says with a high tone “Let’s go!”

Maria replies “Ok Angel I’ll go with you, besides I need

someone to protect from that man in the red jacket. He keeps

looking for me, for some reason he wants me. I don’t know why?”

Angel says “It doesn’t matter; we need to stick together if we

are to survive this! That bastard could be anywhere, I met him and

took him down but I know he’s still alive. Hmm the key to the

autopsy room, would you mind giving that key to me Maria?”

Maria answers “No, here you go Angel. Angel I’m glad that I

met you. I was so scared and still am.”

Angel responds “Yeah I’m scared out of my pants as well. I

don’t know what’s going on, but I’m sure the Hybrid Corporation has

an idea what is going on.”

The duo turns back and reenters the hallway where a couple

of froggers were waiting for the duo. One of them licks Maria but

luckily it causes ho harm to Maria. Angel shoots one of the frogs

killing it and tries to shoot the other one, but the other frogger jumps

to the ceiling. The jumping frog freaks Maria out to where she hides

in a corner. The frogger uses its tongue to grab Angel and tries to

swallow Angel in whole, but Angel lobs a grenade in its mouth with

the grenade launcher. After a few seconds the frog explodes into

pieces and the force of the blast pushes Angel towards Maria.

Maria says “Wow that was scary; I’ll be having nightmares

about frogs for a long time!”

Angel adds “Not only frogs but spiders as well!”

Maria responds “No are you kidding? I want to get out of

here!

Angel in a consoling tone says “We’re getting outta here

soon, as long as you stay with me nothing is going to happen to you.”

Angel and Maria head into the autopsy room which is full of

dead bodies. Maria freaks out after seeing the dead bodies and Angel

reassures her that everything was ok. Angel heads to the counter

where he finds a keycard to the weapon storage room, when a metal

plate falls. Once again Maria is scared out of her mind but nothing

comes out of the counter. When Angel begins to walk out the of the

autopsy room the dead bodies come alive. It turns out that the dead

bodies were zombies’ playing dead, Maria is scared out of her pants.

One of the zombies grabs Maria until Angel shoots it in the head

killing it.

Angel screams “It’s too dangerous to stay in here we gotta

make a run for it!”

The duo runs out of the door and towards the weapon

storage room. At the same time several zombies break through the

door, giving chase to Angel and Maria.

Angel says in disbelief “Son of a bitch! These guys just don’t

give up, hurry up lets get into the storage room!”

Angel and Maria enter the weapon storage room where

Angel gather’s some more ammunition. Angel comes right back out

to kill off the zombies that were chasing him and Maria. Maria finds

the keycard to the twelfth floor and gives it to Angel. The duo begins

to make their way to the twelfth floor until Maria sees Mr. Z behind

her and begins to panic.

Maria in a panic says to Angel “Angel, look behind you!”

Angel screams in response “Run!”

Angel and Maria run up to the first floor to get away from

Mr. Z. Luckily for the duo that Mr. Z did not see them. Angel and

Maria go up the second floor through the creepy hallway where

Angel met Mr. Z for the first time. As they walk down a hand pops

out of the vent in the ceiling and grabs Maria by the mouth.

Angel says “Isn’t it creepy Maria that they never used this

floor since it opened back in 18… Maria do you even hear me?”

Angel looks behind him and realizes that Maria was not with

him anymore; Angel looks inside the vent to see if he could spot

Maria but couldn’t see her. Angel screams out Maria’s name, but

received no response. Angel fears that Mr. Z has captured Maria or a

creature even worse than Mr. Z has Maria. Angel knew he had to get

to the 12th floor as fast as he could, as Maria’s life could depend on it.

Chapter 5

Angel loses Maria once again, this time to an unknown force

who grabbed Maria from the 2nd floor ceiling vent. Angel realizes that

he has to get over it and keep it moving. Angel heads up to the 12th

floor but along the way the hospital begins to crumble around him

and creatures attack him from random directions. The random

attacks begin at the sixth floor where a group of zombies block the

stairway going up and if that wasn’t bad enough a couple of the

spiders that Angel had to deal with were on the sixth floor.

Angel blasts the zombies with his shotgun but then get’s

tackled by the by the spiders from behind. He crashes into the wall

but he is able to get up rather quickly, he avoids the poison spit by

the spiders. The spit contains so much acid that it burns a hole on

the wall where Angel crashed at. Angel wastes no time and lobs a

grenade towards the spiders blowing both of them up. Angel blows

on the grenade launcher and says “That’s how it’s done suckers!”

Angel heads to the 7th floor and remembers that’s where

Harrison was. Angel was going to check on his condition and see if

he could assist Angel in getting out of the hospital. However when

Angel arrives at the seventh floor, Harrison looks pale almost

pinkish. Harrison looks up and begins to make the sound of a zombie,

which indicates he has turned into a zombie. Harrison approaches

Angel like he wanted to grab and bite him. Angel tries to talk some

sense to Harrison, but it’s no use Harrison was unable to think for

himself anymore. So Angel had the hard task of having to shoot and

kill Harrison, his buddy when he used to go to the hospital. Angel

goes to Harrison’s corpse and he hugs it one last time, then

apologizing for having to kill him.

Angel cries “Harrison you were like a brother to me, we

always used to joke around. I’m going to miss you buddy! This whole

place is probably infected with these freaks of nature! My god this

hospital is going down and it’s probably even worse back home.”

Angel begins to think what would he do when he did break

out, where would he go? If the virus spread throughout the city then

Angel was safe nowhere. Angel saw himself having to survive on his

own if he had to, even if that meant not having a roof on top of his

head. Long story short Angel was ready to go into survival mode if

the situation called for it.

Angel goes straight for the twelfth floor but he gets cut off at

the eleventh floor. There was no stairs leading to the twelfth floor,

Angel was now convinced that there was a great secret hiding in the

12th floor. Angel heads to the 11th floor hallway but finds that the 11th

floor is nothing but a Victorian Era style library. Angel asks himself

what’s a library of this magnitude doing in this hospital, it was quiet

too quiet. Angel approaches a door that is locked but a message to

the side says. “To gain access to the promise land you must arrange

the book shelves in the pattern as shown by the image to the right

most bookshelf.” Angel heads to the right most bookshelf but he is

unable to fit through the small opening to see the pattern needed to

arrange the bookshelves. Angel heads upstairs to look for answers,

until he falls through a weak part of the floor and falls through going

down. Angel sees the pattern that he needs to arrange the

bookshelves to open the door.

Angel sees a switch which moves the right most bookshelf

left so he could get through. Angel then follows the pattern which

goes as follows: 1- Left, 2- Right, 3-Left, 4- Right. The bookshelves

are moved electrically by pressing the switches which moves them

right or left depending on what is chose. After the correct pattern

has been achieved, the door opens by itself. Angel proceeds towards

the door until Mr. Z pops out from one of the bookshelves.

Angel says, “Son of a bitch I knew we would meet again,

take this!”

Angel begins to shoot Mr. Z with everything he has and Mr.

Z goes down rather easily this time.

Angel says, “Damn I gotta find a way to kill this guy for good,

he’s just going to keep chasing me around the hospital, if I can even

call this a hospital anymore! Maria is probably in serious trouble, I

gotta hurry!”

Angel goes through the open door and finds a capsule

containing a human body being fed some kind of weird liquid. Angel

wondered what in the hell were they doing in this hospital and was

this going to be his fate had the surgery taken place as scheduled.

Suddenly Angel was concerned that the source of these creatures

was the results of failed experiments taking place in the hospital

itself.

Angel says in his mind, “I started to feel that I was learning

too much for my own good. I was only 17 after all, but I was very

smart for my age. I heard horror stories about this hospital about

patients that never made it out alive and this could be the reason. Of

course Woodhull Hospital would do everything to cover their asses,

but I couldn’t be concerning about exposing the hospital. For all I

know everybody might be dead anyway and the hospital maybe

completely destroyed by the time this was all cleared up. All I needed

to worry about was rescuing Maria and getting out of here.”

Angel hits the switch which opens a door in the upstairs area

of the library. When Angel returned to the library Mr. Z was gone, as

Angel expected.

Angel says, “Trap door’s huh, looks like the worms are about

to come out of the can and these worms were going to bite real

hard.”

Angel heads upstairs towards the trap door and it leads to an

open hallway with a railing along with a long fall down. Angel heads

to the door ahead, but before he could open the door Mr. Z made his

appearance again. This time catching Angel in a tight area, Angel

starts to shoot Mr. Z, but to no avail. Angel backs up trying to gain

some space between him and Mr. Z, but Mr. Z gains up on Angel.

Angel thinks quickly and jumps on to a gas pipe, then shimmies his

way along the hallway with Mr. Z trying to grab Angel

unsuccessfully. Angel uses his last few round of his grenade launcher

to take down Mr. Z; Angel finds some more grenade rounds and

shotgun shells inside of Mr. Z’s pocket.

Angel heads through the door that he wanted to go through

and when he got through he could hear the sound of Mr. Z getting

up.

Angel says, “That SOB is going to keep chasing me, that guy

is incredibly strong and throws a mean fist. Just looking at him would

get anyone scared; I can’t let that monster get out into the wild like

that. Worse of all he was a stalker, the worse kind of enemy!” Angel

finds himself at the 12th floor which starts out as a hallway, but Angel

quickly realizes it’s not like the rest of the hallways in the hospital.

Chapter 6

Angel notices that the hallway had a loud sound of a

generator. Angel walks into the room with the generator, he walks

towards the end of the room. At the end of the room he sees Maria

through a camera walking inside a laboratory, trying to escape but

unable to. Angel looks for a way to contact her but is unable to. Next

to the camera Angel finds even more grenade rounds, shotgun shells

and a .45 Magnum. Angel takes a look at the other camera; the

camera simply shows the exit to the room. However it shows

something else, once again it was Mr. Z to Angel’s disbelief.

Angel says “It can’t be this bastard’s back, how many times

do I have to kill this red-jacket freak. Man this has got to be a real

bad nightmare or this is a real bad reality!”

Angel heads towards Mr. Z and shoot’s a few rounds towards

him. Then Angel runs back to gain distance from Mr. Z, Angel

finishes off Mr. Z. He finds more bullets on Mr. Z including magnum

rounds. Angel wondered where this freak was made from and why

does he not die, but more importantly what does it want? Angel

unlocks the laboratory area and heads towards Maria. Angel heads

inside the door but he does not arrive where Maria is, he maybe in

the room before Maria. Anyway Angel is met with a gauntlet of

spiders, froggers and a new breed of creatures “Scorpio” code name

for the scorpion like creatures.

Angel says, “You gotta be kidding me, scorpions now, not

like Mr. Z isn’t giving me a run for my money already.”

The scorpions have an extremely venomous sting and if its

target is stung the poison will be so bad that the target will probably

die instantly. Angel runs around the lab area full of capsules and lab

equipment to avoid getting killed by any of the creatures. Angel is

able to kill off some of the spiders and frogs but the scorpions give

Angel the most trouble. Their hard shells make them almost

impossible to kill. A spider pushes Angel to the wall, after that a

frogger licks Angel with its poisonous tongue and then a scorpion

traps Angel in a corner. It looked hopeless for Angel at this point

trapped by three of the worse possible experiments gone wrong.

Angel takes out his Magnum and shoots the tail of the scorpion

killing it. Out of nowhere gunfire is heard and a mysterious character

kills the rest of the creatures with a machine gun.

Angel says, “That’s what I needed, who are you?”

The mysterious man answers “I’m Luis I’m one of the

surviving members of hospital security. I’m glad I found one

survivor!”

Angel in a weak voice says “There’s another survivor, a girl

named Maria. I was with her but I lost her and now I’m poisoned.

You know about this secret area of the hospital…” Angel passes out

before he could finish his sentence.

Luis answers, “No I found out like you did, but you need

some care. I’m going to take you to the medical room here and see if

I can cook up an antidote for you.”

Luis carries Angel to the medical room which wasn’t too far

from where Angel was fighting the creatures. Luis finds some herbs

and mixes them up into a tea. He has Angel drink the tea and Angel

begins to feel a lot better.

Angel says to Luis, “Thanks man I needed that. I’m sorry but

Harrison is gone.” Angel begins crying.

Luis responds “I know Angel, but we can’t worry about that.

It’s only you, me and that survivor you said was around. Listen I’m

just as surprised as you are that the hospital was keeping this secret

for such a long time. They probably didn’t intend on this happening, I

heard they wanted to release something to cure cancer. Well we

gotta get to the roof, which honestly I have never been to. I got a call

from a police chopper who will pick any survivors up from the

hospital that is our only ticket out of here. The front exit is infected

with these creatures and so is the back exit.”

Angel replies “I bet the exit is where Maria is located; we

gotta get to her and quickly. We gotta be strong Luis, I’m sure that’s

what Harrison would want us to do. Let’s get moving.”

Angel and Luis get out of the medical room and goes

towards where Maria was located. Before they could get there more

zombies appeared to block the entrance. Angel and Luis worked

together to take the zombies out. After that they headed into a room

called “Lab B”. Just like Lab A, but this lab contained only two huge

capsules with humans inside. It’s quiet when Angel and Luis arrive,

until Angel spots Maria.

Maria running scared spots Angel and says “Angel help me

it’s that man again!” It was Mr. Z giving chase once again.

Angel says “It’s you again damn you are a persistent one,

what do I have to do to take you down?”

Luis says “Hey what not try to zap-gun onto the wall?”

Angel answers “Well I’ll try anything at this point to get rid

of this bastard!”

Angel grabs the zap gun and uses it on Mr. Z. The force

pushes it back; a pool of blue liquid can be seen. Angel has an idea of

forcing Mr. Z into the pool and having him fall in getting rid of him

for good.

Angel says as Mr. Z falls into the pool “Goodbye Mr. Z! It

was nice knowing you!”

The trio sees an emergency ladder that leads straight to the

roof. The trio is relieved that they are finally getting out of the

hospital. (As Angel, Luis and Maria are climbing the ladder toward

the roof, Mr. Z pops out of the pool. – cue drastic music)

The trio has no idea that Mr. Z is still alive and well when

they begin to look for the helicopter. Luis spots the light of the

helicopter and has everyone wave their hand so that the chopper

could pick them up. The helicopter begins to approach our heroes

and when it gets ready to descend to drop the ladder to pick up the

trio. Mr. Z pops out of the floor and onto the roof, only this time he

has a blue jacket and blue visors. The helicopter gets away claiming

it’s too dangerous to descend.

Angel in disbelief “You again I can’t fuckin believe it. Do you

ever die?”

Mr. Z had transformed into Mr. Y who was a stronger

version of Mr. Z and not just stronger but faster and well. Angel and

Luis shoot Mr. Y, but Mr. Y flies up and avoids every shot. Then it

lands on Angel and begins to punch him until Luis shoot’s him letting

Angel go. The duo tries to shoot Mr. Y again but this time he sides

steps and he’s simply too quick for Angel and Luis to keep up with.

Mr. Y punches both Angel and Luis to the floor. The duo gets right

back up not willing to give up. Maria hides behind the AC unit to

avoid being spotted by Mr. Y.

Meanwhile Angel and Luis were getting their asses handed

to them by Mr. Y.

Angel says “Damn pushing him into that liquid only made

him stronger, damn this bastard is something else!”

Despite Mr. Y’s abilities, it did have a pattern of attack

which Luis and Angel began to pick up as the battle continued. Angel

lobs a grenade at Mr. Y when he’s open and Mr. Y begins to weaken.

Mr. Y jumps real high trying to hit Luis but he misses him and Luis

shoot’s Mr. Y as he comes down. Mr. Y began to weaken and slow

down but the duo did not have a weapon powerful enough to take out

Mr. Y.

Out of nowhere the man on the chopper screams on the

megaphone “Here use this when he’s not expecting it! Hurry up we

don’t have much fuel to waste!”

Maria sneaks to the item, it was a rocket launcher. Angel

and Luis continue to slow down Mr. Y until Mr. Y is kneeling down.

Maria says while shooting the rocket launcher “Game over

big guy!” The rocket hits Mr. Y dead on and Mr. Y explodes into

many pieces.

Angel says to Maria “Wow I’m impressed you killed your

worse fear yourself.”

Maria replies “I can’t take all of the credit, you guys

distracted him. I just shot the final blow.”

Luis says “Well guys we survived, now time to get out of

here.”

The chopper picks up the trio using the ladder and the

chopper flies away into the sunrise. Angel, Maria and Luis are in the

chopper stunned by what they just endured and actually survived.

This would be a story they could tell their kids in years to come,

maybe even their grandkids. There was only one problem. An alarm

goes off, which wakes up Angel from his sleep and he prepared for

surgery day. It was all a bad dream; this was all in his sleep.

Angel says “Wow that was some dream I just had! It’s time

to get ready for my oral surgery.
